Worth every penny!
I am loving this app. Finally an app that reads chest strap HR (Polar H10) and works with the Apple Watch. The customer service is excellent too: responsive and prompt.
10 Years in and still THE BEST
I got my first Apple Watch in 2016 and noticed that the workout app didn’t have kickboxing or MMA as an option. I searched for an app that had my sport and found my way to FITIV. I’ve watched it grow and add features over these last ten years. There are too many to mention here, but I’ll mention my favorites.
I love the option to have my heart rate spoken out loud. It allows me to not interrupt my workout to check visually.
I also like getting a VO2 Max, which Apple only does from outdoor walks and runs. Lastly, at the top of the FIT IV screen there is always a paragraph on readiness, and it is spot on. For example, the other day was a workout day but I was painfully tired and lethargic. My readiness score was low and FITIV recommended recovery. Just what I needed to hear, whew! So I took a bath and stretched and gave myself permission to relax.
The amount of data is immense and seems really accurate to me. My only issue is the “perceived effort”they ask for after each workout - if I don’t select anything they pick one for me and they always pick a lower effort than I actually did. I’m assuming they go by heart rate only - but sometimes I lift really heavy weights really slowly and I do not get a high heart rate however, I consider my workout to be “hard“. Aside from that one thing being a bit of a downer,
I’ve literally never felt compelled to even explore other fitness apps, which is a testament to the excellence of FITIV.

Hi Wickcheed, Thank you for the 5 stars, and for sticking with us for 10 years. 🎉 Knowing FITIV Pulse was there for kickboxing and MMA when Apple's own workout app wasn't, and that it's grown alongside you ever since, means a lot. Voice heart rate call-outs so you don't have to break focus, VO2 Max beyond just outdoor runs, and the readiness score catching what your body already knew before you did, that's exactly the kind of guidance we want the data to give you. Glad the bath and stretch day paid off. 💪 If you have any further questions or concerns, don't hesitate to reach out! Our mission is to turn your data into guidance and help you move with purpose, and we are glad to have you with us. The FITIV Team
