Worst service
am deeply disappointed with the customer service and support provided by Google Pay, which has been utterly inadequate in resolving a critical issue with my account. For over a month, I have been reaching out to Google Pay’s customer care team regarding an autopay feature that has been erroneously deducting funds from my account multiple times. Despite my persistent efforts, the issue remains unresolved, and the support team has failed to take responsibility or provide a solution.
The problem stems from an inability to disable the autopay feature, which displays an error message about a “fingerprint mismatch.” This is particularly frustrating as I use an iPhone without a fingerprint sensor, making the error message irrelevant and highlighting a clear flaw in the app’s system. Initially, the customer care team assured me that the issue would be resolved, but subsequent interactions have been met with dismissive responses, claiming the issue is “not in their hands.” As the operators of Google Pay, it is unacceptable that they are unable to address what appears to be a technical bug or adjust their system to resolve such issues.
This unresolved issue has caused significant distress, as I am unable to maintain funds in my account without fear of unauthorized deductions. The lack of accountability and ineffective support have made it impossible to use Google Pay with confidence. I urge Google Pay to address this matter promptly and implement better customer service practices to prevent others from experiencing similar frustrations. I hope this review brings attention to my issue so that a resolution can be provided, allowing me to use the service without further inconvenience.

Worst Customer service
I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the service I recently received from your customer support team. I contacted Google Pay support to address an issue I have been facing while trying to add my bank account to the app. Despite following all the necessary steps and ensuring that my bank account details are correct, I have been unable to link the account successfully. However, what was even more frustrating was the behavior of your customer service representative. Instead of listening to my problem attentively and providing any helpful guidance, the representative seemed disinterested and dismissive. Before I could even explain the issue fully or ask any follow-up questions, the call was abruptly disconnected. This lack of professionalism and empathy is unacceptable, especially when customers are reaching out for genuine support. I expected better service from a platform as widely used and trusted as Google Pay. I urge you to look into this matter seriously and take appropriate action to ensure that no other customer has to face such an unpleasant experience in the future. Additionally, I request prompt assistance in resolving the issue of linking my bank account to Google Pay, as this is affecting my ability to make necessary transactions.

Needs More Control Over Saved Details and Interface Cleanup
Google Pay is a reliable and convenient platform for money transfers and daily transactions. However, there are a couple of usability issues that need the developers’ attention:
1. No Option to Edit/Delete Saved Bank Details: When using the bank transfer option, there’s currently no way to edit or remove previously saved account numbers. This can be frustrating when account details change or are entered incorrectly. Adding the ability to manage these saved details would greatly improve user control and security.
2. Cluttered Payment History with Unnecessary Profiles: After completing payments, GPay saves people and business profiles in a list that keeps growing. For many users, this becomes a long and mostly irrelevant list. It would be helpful to provide an option to remove or hide these profiles to keep the interface clean and relevant.
Hope the GPay team considers these updates in future releases for a more streamlined and user-friendly experience.

Feedback and Suggestion
Love using this app and it’s simplicity. Have been using for a while now.
I think it would be much better if there’s a note feature in the transactions we made to the other peoples. Sometimes, I don’t remember what I’ve paid for to this person when I’m calculating my bills at the end of the month. It would so much easy for us to just write the item name that we’re purchasing with the transaction. Right now, I have to use a different app for this thing.
The reason behind this suggestion is that often times we as humans made impulse purchase without thinking that if this item worth buying or not. So, when we have a little note taking feature with the transaction that we made to the person/business, at the end of the month we can reflect that purchase and make wiser decisions for the next time.

Terrible customer support & glitchy app
I am using google pay for last couple of years for majority of my digital transactions. I am writing this review after struggling with this glitchy app and a futile call and discussion with the customer support.
This app has a glitch. It can give you nightmare if you are trying to reactivate your bank account or if you are trying to retrieve your old or existing UPI ID. It offers use of multiple UPI IDs for better transactions but switching between them is impossible at times. After 3 failed attempts at reactivation of bank account or UPI ID, the app does not let you try again for next 24 hours, if you fail again after 24 hours (which is likely because of this glitchy app), you will again have to wait for another 24 hours. And the cycle sadly repeats. I’ve been trying since last two days to meet a deadline for an auto-pay mandate but looks like I will not be able to complete it in thine because of this glitch. I thought calling customer care might be useful but the 2-minute wait followed by a 10-15 minutes of discussion didn’t yield any solution instead made me feel that Google doesn’t really care to offer any quick solution nor fix the issues with the app. After talking to customer care support, I felt that I should stop using this app. I will switch to PhonePe and also hope that Apple soon launches the Apple Pay service in India on full scale so that we have a reliable solution and a good alternative to this glitchy app.

Instant Transfer Processing for Ten Days and No Help
Can I please have my money?? I did an instant transfer ten days ago and the money still says “processing”. I filed an issue the first day and was told GooglePay experienced a technical error and my money would be transferred in 24 to 48 hours. Since then I have to beg for email updates and live chats with employees. The “updates” state that I will be updated again soon. When I ask what the technical issue is and how many more days or weeks my money will say processing, I’m told my issue was “escalated” the first day. I’m told my money will be transferred “soon”. Nobody will help me beyond promising updates that only include a promise for another update. There is NO problem on my part. It was an issue with GooglePay. GooglePay has refused to even hint at a timeline for allowing me to have MY money back. Is this really how GooglePay operates? They have technical errors they can not fix and refuse to communicate? GooglePay has my money and will not let me have it back. That is criminal.

False sense of security
I am extremely disappointed with this service. I’ve been trying to file a dispute for almost two months in regards to a fraudulent transaction, and due to Google Pay’s system issues, I have not been able to submit the dispute in which appears to be the only way possible, by using their APP. I’ve attempted to contact them by email, I’ve been disrespected by phone, and every time I’ve called (at this point around 7 times) I’ve been told to wait 48 hours for a resolution. As an act of desperation, I have requested to speak to a supervisor, and I’ve been told they don’t have any contact with supervisors; therefore, they were not able to assist me. I’ve been hung up on a few times, just because I’ve requested to have some kind of answer of what’s going on. In the meantime, my dispute was never filed, and I’m still waiting for them to fix their system issues. It is a real shame such powerful company has such terrible interface, and non existent customer service. I’ve searched online for information on how ti be able to contact a manager from this company, the the information is non existent as well. Only the same customer service number which is good for nothing. I even submitted a “formal grievance” about this issue, but never even received an acknowledgment from their part. As consumers, we use these type of platforms to feel a little safer while doing online transactions, but they have failed me miserably.

Worst service by Sundar Pichai and his employess
First of All I must say a big company like google has created a worst payment app. One fine day I was unable to remove or delete my bank account so i raised a ticket by calling them and its 7+ months now and its still the same. When asked them they say the ratofied speech which says “ sorry for the inconvenience. This is the last time u calling and you don't need to worry it will be resolved soon and here it goes and on. Google pay india is not caring about their customers. I think the ceo Mr Sundar Pichai has stopped valuing customers especially from India. This is a shame. People at google I don’t know what they are get paid for especially in customer services. Even supervisors has no answers. Are you guys playing office office? Seriously guys Google is going down in terms of customer service , the worst customer service I have experienced. Nobody have the guts to answer this as they only reply to those who give them 4-5 stars…. Stop giving them so many stars they dont deserve. Mr Sundar Pichai is busy earning money crushing all hopes and respect from Indian customers. I think he doesn’t care anymore about India.

Fire whoever came up with this garbage..
This is a dead app at this point. Look at the reviews. Nobody is using this app anymore. Zelle is better than this. The old google pay was better for users. Simplicity was better. Old app was simple, straight to the point. Whoever made this app wanted to frustrate customers. Garbage app with too much noise, difficult to use, frustrating experience. I mean I’ve used the old app for years and was happy, but with this one it just makes me mad to use because everything you try to do requires a million clicks. Fire whoever approved making this app! Make it simple like the old app, why complicate the experience? That’s DUMB!! Trash! Why even use this app if it’s no longer free to send instant? And sending free means it’s pointless, you might as well transfer using your bank to bank, this is slower than that. Google dropped the ball with this app. WORST APP EVER!!

Won’t release MY money $100 stuck
I attempted to send $100 from my debit card to a friend who I have sent money to multiple times without issue. Well this time the payment failed and the money was taken from my account and not returned. I spent hours trying to get the money returned to my debit card account only to find out they put it on my google pay balance and then limited my account so I could not transfer it to my bank account Or Send to a friend . So now my money is just stuck on this account and I have no physical ID CARD at the moment so they will not fix my account to allow me to access my own money . I have tried contacting support multiple times and they have been completely useless to help . I never even authorized my money to be added to my google pay balance and now it is stuck there . I NEED TO BE ABLE TO ADD MY NEW DEBIT CARD TO GET MY MONEY BACK . This money was all I had left for a week and have received no help. Absolutely horrible

Very disappointed
Knowing there are many who do not use Apple, I wanted to use GooglePay to pay for goods or services to parties who do no have Apple accounts.
I tried Google Pay app (GP) today and was very disappointed. I just deleted it.
I found It to be too cumbersome, very intrusive and, if I were to not pay attention to what I allow the app to do, I could opened the doors to the google world into my finances.
I had no desire to deposit cash in the GP account, but I was not able to easily find the way to add my credit and debit cards as my payment vehicle. I Google-searched for that, but it was not possible to follow instructions I received using the curren GP app version.
The app wants access to my contacts list to allow me to easily send money to my friends and family; no, I do not want Google to have that information.
Of course, It is very easy to link bank accounts to GP, and Google could tell me how good/bad I’m doing in managing my finances.
This app also offers me information on getting rewards, or controlling my expenses, or providing information on other vendors, etc. etc. etc…
Thanks Google Pay but,
NO, thanks.

Data mining garbage. Beware!
BEWARE! This app will ask to invade your privacy and obtain access to your info (and share it with third parties) at least three separate times during initial setup, including sending all your contacts to Google and recording your third part credit card payment info so you can “earn rewards.” Besides that, it only gives you the option to pay recipients and not to request money unless they have downloaded this new app, gone through the setup, and made themselves “searchable,” even if they had the old app. This new app and new setup process is clearly all just so they can have the chance to sneakily gain your “consent” to obtain and sell your confidential data. Terrible app from a now terrible company. Try any of the MANY other options for money transfer apps instead. Your bank probably already offers Zelle within its own app and it will be faster and more secure.

Reward system is a scam !
Really unpredictable. Even if you are in a good network area, process goes on for a few minutes most of the times, may end up in try after some times/ processing, money not debited yet/ money debited, but the recepient not received yet statuses. And the worst part is that they need 72 hours to tell whether it got processed or not. What should we (both customers & shop owners) do till then ? Stay in that shop till we are good to go ?! No alert if the payment fails after 72 hours, WE have to continuously monitor whether it was successful or not. Their customer service is pathetic ! Has anyone really talked to any of the customer care executives ever ? I think, no one was lucky enough. Complicated procedure to get in line with customer care phone service, need to stay online in their never ending queue, you will never get opportunity to talk to them ! Finally, about their reward system.. Such a fraud team & fraudulent plans. You will get some cheap rewards when you do N number of transactions. Ridiculous ! They are not providing coupons even if you do eligible transactions, and nothing happens even if you create tickets. I am shifting my UPI to other ones. Fed up with their pathetic service. I strongly advise my fellows to keep away from them and go for some other apps in the market. That may save some of your time, money & peace of mind !

I enjoy reading apple users who post worst comment or bad review. Why google pay? I thought…..wait….no.....i knew google stated once that google doesn't charge anything but then now customers of users are not free anymore. Congratulations google. Amen. I’m proud to be back to Apple Pay and cash app even though I don’t have banking account so I don’t have to go to the banking building nor worried about getting charged fees. Nah. Apple Pay and cash app don’t play at all as far as I know for sure I love enjoying Apple Pay/Apple Cash and cash app forever. Not PayPal, other unheard new companies. Nah. I do love google organization except for few features that are required to be paid for subscription. No thanks. That’s why I use my iCloud email forward to gmail instead so I use it as iCloud and gmail is secondary. Not back up. iCloud yes cause it doesnt need all peoples info exchanged. Just contactless payment instead of no credit card and no cash. Simple. Sorry hit google search is awesome as free forever.

Read before creating an account!!!
I was trying to purchase a watch from a site that didn’t accept Visa or Master cards. I had a bad experience with PayPal and have been leery of third party money transaction sites. I thought Google Pay would be better established with security features, but what they ask for when establishing a functioning account is suspicious! First, they wanted the typical info like name, address, birthdate, last four of my ssn. So, I’ve already shared substantial sensitive info about myself and then it asks for my full ssn. I reluctantly shared since this is info needed to establish a credit card…but still found this odd. Now I have one foot deep in the Google web and I couldn’t move beyond the personal identification page until I provided a copy of my driver’s license, a piece of mail with my address and worst of all a COPY of my social security card! I felt like I was joining the military again. Please use caution when using these apps, big giant companies want too much info!

2 weeks to deposit $200
The tl;dr is if you can, avoid Google pay at all costs.
Somehow someone decided it was a good idea for the money you deposit to take 5+ days to post if they’re feeling generous despite any worthwhile app having it available in literal seconds. (venmo or cash app) it’s going to take me two weeks one way or another to get the money I tried to deposit. At this moment Google is saying they retuned the money to my bank that I tried to deposit but I was able to call that bluff within 5 minutes of calling my own bank. So clearly they’re lying to the support team in an effort for them to take the blame. At this point I don’t know when I’ll get my money back if ever. On the bright side I’m trying to get my bank to use Zelle so I can pay my rent. Technophobic brainless landlord who only uses Zelle or Google pay aside, the moment I don’t have to use Google pay I will never touch it again. All of this because Google feels they have the right to gamble your money for 5-14 days in order to line the pockets of there CEO so he can take airplane rides with J Epstine to a private island. All in all, Google gives a good reason to have a corporate death penalty. Give me my money back Google.

Flaw with Transactions
Until recently, I never bothered with the Google Pay transactions that get stuck in “Processing” assuming that they would fail eventually. Apparently, these transactions can be successful after a few days (Poker Face) and the Google Pay customer service team proudly claims this to be true but “unfortunately” cannot do anything about it.
So imagine if your transaction gets stuck in processing when you are paying a shopkeeper, you will have to pay him again if the transaction does not clear in the next few minutes because he needs to be paid and cannot rely on Google Pay’s “processing” time. Now if the transaction becomes successful after 2 days, you would need to go back to the shop again for a refund and explain the “processing” time Google pay takes. Imagine paying on the way while travelling long distances, you do not even have the contact numbers to reach out as they are masked on the Google Pay app.
I am guessing this would be an issue with other payment apps as well, though Paytm upi has let me down less number of times. I would rather play safe and use Wallets (Paytm or other) rather than UPI for random payments.

‘Payment is Processing’
Most unreliable platform for digital payment, Imagine if you’ve bought something from a very far away place and are bound to not come back to that place. Imagine having to rely on this app to pay then suddenly, you see ‘payment processing’ written on the screen, so you make another payment(because aint no one gonna give us shet for free) imaging the 1st payment getting stuck for 2 days and after 2-3 days, ‘bling’ somehow the payment becomes successful, now you don’t have any way of contacting the merchant who you double paid. All that’s left to do is go to that far off place or leave the money in god’s will. So to the kind developers, please use your brain and try to think of such possibilities and try to program around that. So far I have lost a huge sum because of this, there are even times when the amount is shown to be ‘processing’ yet the recipient would have had already gotten the money! Who do i blame? I believe it’s about time for you all to get serious about your user’s money.
