Digital ID was scraped, now is back with different name
I am a bookkeeper and most of my job I have to use gov app’s. I was okay with all of it until now. This is a red hard line for me. I would rather be unemployed than making people digital ID’s.

Utter garbage
Utter garbage. Doesn’t work at all. Help options have conflicting advice to take photographs with ID in the palm of your hand, then a white background before telling you while taking the photograph that you should avoid a white background. When you somehow get it to work it fails anyway so you just use more traditional means. So glad to delete this rubbish from my devices. This is an app devised by government ministers and politicians who think computers/IT systems are made of magic, rainbows and pixie dust!

Very impressed at how easy it was, instructions nice and clear.
Rubbish setup
Idiotic setup said there shouldn’t be any glare whilst taking the passport picture and the passport has shiny lines all around pictures so it’s impossible to not have glare. Took ages just to scan the passport pic page. Also would be ideal if they show the picture on instructions what to scan when scanning the chip on passport.

I’ve just been trying to renew my driving licence and the process using the app cannot verify it’s me, I’ve tried 3 times so far and it’s just kicked me out.
