Ease Of Use
This app has been a game changer for me and it helps me stay on track with my annual exams. I’m able to communicate with my Primary Physician quickly and I can refer to lab results at anytime. I’ve honest become quite dependent on the HSS app. It’s kept me on top of my healthcare and well being.
Knee Surgery
I had my knee surgery with Dr. Steven Haass on July 6th he was wonderful to deal with & i must say all the staff on the 10th floor were amazing so caring & kind just absolutely incredible. I came from Ireland for my surgery & two weeks post op i’m doing great. Dr Hasss explained everything to me in detail before & after the surgery, i saw him today 2 weeks post op as I’m flying back to Ireland & he was so pleased with my procedure & my progress. It’s definitely a painful journey so far but I’m looking forward to being pain free & having a great quality of life. Definitely glad i made the journey to get my knee replacement with Dr Steven B Haas he’s just a lovely man who knows how to make his patients feel at ease

Professional Excellent Care!!
I was fortunate to see Doctor Nicholas Sama Trauma Surgeon, at HSS, following an accident on October 15, 2025. I was run down by an suv while out walking-I sustained a broken leg and ankles. I was highly recommended to see Dr. Sama. He performed surgery, and I am walking again. More recently, I tripped while out walking and injured my shoulder. I was seen by Dr. Sama again. Doctor Sama is a true professional and dedicated to his profession. I highly recommend Dr. Sama, and his wonderful support staff.

I’m here too much. Going for 12th knee operation tomorrow. Always done professionally and with care. This is the best Hospital anywhere. Everyone here is very friendly and they all are the best at what they do.

Visit for evaluation of shoulder
From the front desk to the x-ray technician my visit was awesome. My doctor, Dr. McKenna was great. She was attentive, listened to me and came with suggestions for my care. Would highly recommend her to anyone.
Broken sign up
Could not use the sign up because captcha failed repeatedly on their end. Why is HSS using a broken provider like this.
Also why is the app co branded with epic and my chart. A bain of these corporate and insurance apps is people giving them multiple names so you end up with three times as many apps as you should have and they mostly have names unrelated to what they do.

Still Concerned
I continue to have concerns about left knee revision. It feels as if something is very wrong even though I can bare extreme pain and my range and motion continues to improve. MRI or Cat Scans which can possibly dismiss most of my concerns is not considered at all. Staff is polite. However, patient (Darlene) concerns are not respected. Not sure if that is right or wrong. Just leaves me concerned

Doctor matt is my favorite doctor
There why this history of HSS is a medical history fact it’s very important to understand that my family is so important and health of my right shoulder is very important Prp is incredibly special to me and my dad. My blood is very sensitive to the fact that my family has a lot more history. I feel so much better now.

Issues with HSS App
App is generally fine and helpful. But it would be much more helpful if their entries were dated so it would be clear immediately what you need to see and what you’ve already seen. Also the shortened medical references are hard, if not impossible for a layman, to understand. This is particularly hard after an operation, when one isn’t at ones most clear-headed due to the effects of anesthesia and pain drugs.

Medication and pharmacy
This feature should be improved I couldn’t locate the pharmacy I chose because it gave me 50 pharmacies from 50 different states and there was no place to tell my doctor where to send my prescription
Get Fixed
Using the HSS app for over a year. It’s a well done and user friendly app where I can find everything I need including a portal with which to ask questions directly to my doctors.
