Needs about 300 updates.
I’m happy with my Mate services themselves - but this app is shockingly basic. It takes me 9 clicks to locate my mobile data usage and even then, all I get is the total used. No total GB remaining, no percentage remaining, not even days left until reset - 9 clicks to find only a running total of daily usage. It feels like this app was made in 2000 and hasn’t been updated since. Please make this more user friendly. Please enable Face ID login for those who want it. Please give us more information about our usage and service at a glance without making us go from page to page to page to find only the bare minimum. 9 clicks… come on guys.

Terrible App - Too basic without the essentials
I was invited by a relative to join mates. I thought I’d try it out as a one off and it will absolutely be my last ha!
The app does not show your data usage, etc. sent a simple written inquiry: waiting for response.
called them: put me through ai voiceover (for another round of verifications lol) and then on hold for way too long.
Just joined today and will discontinue once the plan expires in a month’s time.
Who needs enemies when you’ve got these kind of ‘mates’.

Very basic and not useful
The My Mate app only gives the most basic information. There is no way to check how much data, calls, or texts I’ve used. it only shows text message details. For a mobile app, this is extremely limiting. I need to see my usage clearly, and this app just doesn’t provide it. Very disappointing.

Hi. - SO HAPPY I HAVE DISCONNECTED THIS SERVICE. Mates don’t treat mates this way. If I could give negative stars I would.
Without warning or my need. Multi factor authentication was imposed on my account. I don’t do waiting for codes and when this MFA code finally shows up, it’s late, the session I was logging into has expired. I have not been able to log in. Hence the bill went unpaid. They have not sent me a bills and now the service is disconnected.
I tried to call but my only phone with inmate is disconnected. When I do get thru to phone an agent, they try to send a MFA codes which are not received … cause the phone is disconnected. They basically do not help and don’t take ownership of this problem. LEAVE AND RUN AWAY NOW. Don’t do it … go to another NBN / Telstra reseller. Btw the app layout is positively old and designed by aliens it is not user friendly. If you need more convincing, the last 5 star review was last September, that speaks volumes. Ta.

Bring back usage graphs!
The old version before it updated was better than the current one. The main use for a mobile plan app is to navigate your services and usage. The interface with graphs showing data usage was the best!

There is nowhere I can see in the app that tells you what your usage is

You really need to update this app. It’s painful to use and is far behind all the competition.

Being able to quickly see if there was on outage on the website was easy (most of the time there wasn’t and it was reboot, reboot, reboot), now to see outages you have to download the app… When in the app it states “unplanned outage” with no further detail.
This time around I’ve spent 2 days having to hot spot from my phone with another provider. Obviously a great set up for doing hour long presentations to 300+ people, not to mention the added expense.

Old version was better
Hi team, please bring back the feature of checking how much data you still have available via the app, that was the main thing it was good for. Currently there is no way to check usage via the app, that stuff should be front and centre. Also you should more easily be able to make payments via the app instead of having to login to the web service. Thanks

Sad excuse for an App!
This is probably the worst app I’ve had the misfortune to come across. It’s functionally useless, forces me to get new a password calling it ‘Invalid Credentials’ even though I used my saved one. It’s a waste of time, don’t bother with it and I give it Zero stars.

Horrible User interface
This current user interface (15/10/24) is by far the worst user interface I have experienced on an app. I don’t know what look they’re going for but it is absolutely miserable to navigate. Things are much harder to find than they should be and there is so much confusion with locating what I need.

I am on screen reader as I am blind, and this app is completely useless as none of the icons will describe what they do absolutely pointless to download
