I run a professional office, but I do so working between home and my solo office, a lot in my cell phone.
Ooma allows me to do everything from a central phone number and project myself as sophisticated prepared professional.

Mobile app is buggy
I’ve been with ooma for almost 2 years in my business and the mobile app has consistently been a buggy. It will drop calls many times in a middle of a call or drop the call as soon as you try to answer. I’ve been on the phone with support many times. They are always very helpful, but Ooma has not been able to resolve this issue. It’s always blamed on poor Wi-Fi or cell service. More recently I have had to close the app and reopen multiple times a day because the app will freeze up. I will not be able to call out or answer calls without the restart. Ooma is yet to resolve this issue and I will likely be changing services.

I appreciate having my work phone number on my personal phone in a separate app. I did not want to carry two phones around.

The app consistency with crashing is amazing. The calls drop, calls are missed when trying to answer. The app caused my phone to freeze. I was unable to access my phone because this app is so horrible.

Customer service is very difficult to communicate with, often I cannot hear them or they cannot hear me. To get a problem corrected takes too many steps and too much time. I keep have technical problems that I just deal with because they take too long to resolve. Look elsewhere for VOIP services.

Everything works as it should. Customer support has been helpful when issues arise. The system is affordable. Overall this is a great solution for business operations.
Would be great if I could log in
I can log in fine on the website but the app is a different story. Even tried changing the password but still can’t get into the app.
Excellent Alternative
We got two desk and one cordless phone for our Clinic and none of them work properly with the vape for months we’ve had consistent issues, and I came across the option of using the Uma app with our personal cell phones! Absolute lifesaver and no issues since!

OOMA is terrible for business. The app is the worse on your phone. Calls have issues coming in, if they come in at all and everything else is so slow and behind. The only way it’s worth a darn is if you have a hardwired phone e otherwise forget it look elsewhere.

Fairly unreliable and frustrating
The app drops calls quite frequently and has errors retrieving my call history and vm fairly often, it’s pretty frustrating. If those items could be fixed I’d be pretty happy with it.

When I signed up for Ooma, I was promised a lot of features that the app simply doesn’t deliver. The app constantly says “internet not connected” even when my connection is perfectly fine. Syncing is delayed, calls are unreliable, and the audio quality is terrible more often than not.
For a business phone system, reliability should be the bare minimum. Instead, the app feels buggy, outdated, and inconsistent. Very disappointing experience overall.

Exceptional
I’ve had Ooma for over two years and I haven’t experienced a single issue. It’s been flawless in its operation so far. And the cost has remained the same!
Worst service
We’ve been using Ooma for nearly 5 years and we have so many problems with them. Today, May 2026 has been the worst for nearly a month. The app has not been working on my phone saying that there is no network connection when it clearly I have 5G reception. Updated iOS updated app deleted and reinstall the app and every time to even try to login, it says no network connection. The worst service very hard to get out of. They hold your phone number hostage for 14 days if you want to port it over to another.
