  • Useful tool

I have been using this for about a month and it is very handy. I use this when I hear a word in Japanese and I can use either romanised or kana to search for a result. It is really helpful to test if I can hear the correct saying. It is also cool to do simple searches in English. The sentences and examples are also very helpful.

  • This app is perfect

It's a life saver! It has everything I could possibly need in an app. It's a must have for people learning Japanese as it has colloquial terms and even slang which is useful if you're reading manga or watching anime. Update: to make this app the ultimate tool they should add the common tags to popular words so I know which words to use !

  • The best foreign language dictionary I’ve ever used

It’s hard to write up a detailed review, as the app is just excellent. It’s UI is great. Looking up words is easy. It has lots of flexibility making this easy. It has lots of detail, and this is clear and not confusing.

It’s just really good. End of.
  • Really Good!

This app is amazing! I’ve been using it to help with my studies. And when I move to reading manga, and there is a Kanji I don’t know, being able to draw it without knowing the reading amazing. It certainly saves me a lot of time when I find Kanji out in the wild before I come across them in my studies. I would recommend this to anyone trying to get their feet off the ground.

  • Amazing!

I use this dictionary daily! Helps with kanji and common phrases. however it isn't like google translator which I like. of you're learning japanese, it kinda forces you to make the translation of a sentence yourself and Jisho is my go-to for kanji. This help a lot with naming my OCs and when you find a new kanji you could write it down in the search bar if you don't know how to sound it out! this also shows you how to write kanji aswell!

  • Best Japanese Dictionary

This dictionary has a lot of features, definitely the best out of all the ones I used. The best feature of this dictionary for me is the flashcard system, especially if you’re trying to memorize the Onyomi and Kunyomi of the Kanjis. This is an essential tool for anyone who wants to seriously pursue learning Japanese, though it doesn’t include the Middle School level Kanji and above, its still great; besides they have a list of the Joyou Kanji, albeit not up to date, you get an overview of what is included. Overall 12/10

  • best jisho i’ve found!!

so, let me start out by saying, i speak japanese… but i’m basically illiterate in it. i never found the need to know how to read or write it past the basic kana and my given/family name, other than that i simply just speak it. but, as of recently i’ve found myself actually needing to know how to read for various reasons, so i had to go looking for a jisho. i’d found a couple before but i hated the navigation of it (not to mention they required memberships at ungodly prices). when i stumbled upon this app i thought it was too good to be true. i decided to test my luck and download it. i tested it out on some stuff i already knew the kanji for and figured out it was correct, even with slang and phrases! I rely on this app heavily when reading since i’m still not on par with how i’m able to speak and i’d argue to say i use it almost every day. 10/10 do recommend if you’re in the same situation as me or you’re simply trying to learn japanese.

  • Amazing

This dictionary is one of the best by far, easy to find words with either English or Japanese search, and it gives all the conjugations forms for verbs, adjectives, etc! There’s an inbuilt flash card system and it also helps with vocab and kanji for JLPT study as well. Great app!!
  • The best 日本語 writing app

This app is the best one I could find to learn kanji and finish learning hiragana
  • It’s free!?

Hands down the best free Japanese dictionary app available, and as good if not better than some that are paid.

The drawing-input search system that tolerates small errors in stroke order is invaluable; I often use this app to quickly remind myself of stroke orders for some lesser-used or exceptional kanji.

Thank you app-builders (?) for such a useful learning tool 😌
