Great app but finished product is terrible a very time costly and expensive mistake!
I wanted to do yearly photo books going back to 2009 so it has taken me weeks to create my books on the app which is great and easy to use. Once you add on extra pages this gets costly so my books cost between £40-80 each which I was happy to pay because they looked amazing in the preview.
What I have received is just awful I could have (actually did) cried all that money and time (luckily I had only paid for 8 of the books but had already created the rest I now will not purchase)
I expected some of the older images to be poorer quality but every single image across all of the books is dull, grainy and dark you cannot differentiate between them and the high quality images I know I have used. I spent so much time editing them all for zero reason they’re just terrible, grainy, dull awful quality photos when I know the originals are amazing resolution.
I have held the book against prints from boots and they are nothing alike 2/10 compared to a normal photo!
So so very disappointed and upset, I have contacted them and awaiting a response but I can’t see how this can be rectified if that is how they come PLEASE DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME like I have it’s taken literally weeks to do. Ideally I would like a full refund and I will send the books back as they aren’t even worth keeping they’re so bad but I’m sure the reality is I’m nearly £300 down!Show lessAlexandra917777

I make lots of photo books and it’s a massive pain usually because of choosing photos, uploading and not having them in order, plus takes me days and days to format the images etc etc I saw this app on someone’s Insta and spent maximum 2 hours making the perfect annual book from my zillions of photos. It’s easy, straightforward, has nice fonts, the paper is lovely and over all I couldn’t recommend it more if you want an easy, great way to churn out photo albums. I used this app to create photo books for my family for Christmas. We had an issue with one of the deliveries and customer support handled it really well. It’s pretty user friendly but it’s very limited in how you can customize your book. But what I’m more upset about is that the estimated delivery date was wrong. I know I was cutting it close but I ordered it just in time for my anniversary and now they updated the delivery date to even later than the max estimated day to be delivered. It took them over a week just to print and it’s not even a big book. I assumed the long delivery time would be due to shipping not slow printing. Just a bit dissatisfied with that.Show lessuber is awful

I downloaded this app on a whim. I was in the middle of my vacation and I really wanted some sort of photo album to remember all the wonderful moments. This app has repeatedly popped up on my Facebook and I had to give it a try. The shipping is my only slight complaint. But it was packaged perfectly to where the book wasn’t harmed in any way. The quality of the photos are simply beautiful. The book binding is fantastic and not cheaply done. The app it self is so easy to use and it quickly loads the photos. It’s absolutely perfect. This app eases so much anxiety about the thousands of photos of my kids wrapped up in digital jail. So much simpler than trying to get them printed one by one and organized! The process is SO simple, but one thing would help immensely- the interface automatically crops and centers photos for the frames in the pages, but having them centered often means someone’s head is cut by the border. If we could drag photos around within the frames to maybe cut off the bottom instead of the top or move them side to side, etc., this would fix the one and only problem I’ve had with building a book.Show lessNBKailey

My fathers wife told me I should start making photo books for all the photos I was taking on my most recent visit to the USA. I was unsure as a lot of the other apps out there I’ve heard are a headache. This one was far from that! Easy to use, easy to stop and start, and easy to preview! I’m so excited to receive my book and see the photos I took of family members I haven’t seen in 10-20 years.
Only suggestions would be if you could crop in your photos , or even an edit option!Show lesshaydengan

This is the fifth year I have used Once Upon to create picture books of my kids to give to grandparents etc. The app is so easy to use and creates great layouts, it really is a pleasure to use, but sadly I have to agree with the review below that the print quality is now terrible. It was always great but this year they must have changed suppliers because the pictures are all smudged and blurry. Unfortunately these arrived just before Christmas and are presents so it’s too late to make new books elsewhere but they’re also not good enough to give to anyone.Show lessDelsh
