Fails To Connect

The app found the pacemaker and registered it without any problems. That was the last time it worked. Since then every time we attempt to use it we get an error that the system is unavailable and to try later. We were told by the staff who walked us through the installation that my husband could install the app on his iPhone in addition to it being on mine. He gets the same error attempting to log in to the account that was created for my use.

Almost worthless

This is the most buggy piece of software I’ve ever experienced. The one time I needed it to record a heart event, it failed. It seems to constantly lose connectivity to the hunk of plastic in my chest.

This isn’t some free game to kill time. Its the most “mission critical” software I own. I almost hope that my cardiologist received a big pay-off to use this application. I can understand greed more than this level of incompetence.

If your cardiologist suggests implanting a monitor, I’d suggest you make sure to avoid this app unless you enjoy daily baby-sitting a piece of software. I am about ready to tell my doctor to remove my monitor or I’ll cut it out myself.

Needs updated

The app works ok overall as far as I know, I always have it on and open and my internet works fine. But I’m a little worried about accuracy since this app hasn’t been updated even though Apple is constantly sending out new iPhone updates with security updates. I only bothered to check if this app had been updated recently because as another user stated , I’m only on the newest iOS software with a newer iPhone, (iOS 17) and this evening I had a notification saying that the “system” was “currently unavailable” due to certain parts of the app not being available due to a Medtronic network issue. “ Effectively telling me that it can’t connect to Medtronic.
I’m not particularly impressed with this since my electrophysiology team are getting readings that are unusual … I’m now questioning if the readings are accurate , or if there’s possibly an issue with how things are being transmitted…
This needs to be fixed asap.

So disappointing

I wish I would have reviewed apps before I decided what pacemaker brand to have installed. There is no excuse in todays age with what this pacemaker costs to not be getting any real time USEFUL data to the patient. I never would have imagined the app would be this bad.

I keep thinking that soon there will be a great update that will impress me, but year after year nothing. Medtronic- Do better and do it faster!!

I don’t even use this app, except for once every three months to make a transmission. It’s just a battery drain that does absolutely nothing for me.

Timeouts Galore

This app has become an exercise in futility. More than half of attempts to record symptom events end up timing out. Calling Medtronic support I’m told the problem is that I have an Apple Watch and AirPods. And that in order to successfully record symptoms I need to turn those off. Except you can’t turn AirPods off. So instead you’re told to walk far enough away from your devices to not have “interference.”

However this wasn’t an issue even 3 months ago. But all of a sudden the same devices I’ve had for years result in results timing out?

If the app can’t work with other smart devices around, then why is it even an option? And how does the standalone activator work but the app can’t?

Provides no useful information

The fact that this app provides nothing in terms of operational information makes it virtually useless. I have a separate bedside monitor so don’t need the app to upload anything. I wanted to see data on when the device intervenes and how often yet no such useful data is offered. VERY disappointing.

Can’t view any data!

I have an insertable cardiac monitor implant but annoyingly this app is only for connecting and sending the data to your clinic.
It’s disappointing that us, as the patient are unable to view any of the data recorded.
Considering you need a smart phone and app to connect the device it would of been nice for some data to be available, like heart rates recorded throughout the day. This data could then be implemented into the Apple health app where all my other health related data is kept.

Despite the device working, the app implementation gets 1 star from me.
Disappointing.

Frustratingly broken

The "RECORD NEW SYMPTOMS" feature doesn't work. Times out over and over again. Lots of attempts leading to lots of stress (not great considering the target audience).

Good overall.

The app is unobtrusive and generally just works.
I’d like to see a “system theme” option so it follows light or dark themes.
Anyway good app overall

Frustrating

Wish it would just completely run in the background without constant reminders “do not turn off” every few seconds !!! As well as run the iPhone battery down … great idea shame about the application !
