  • Ease of Use, expand compatibility with Trackers

Using for a company step challenge. Only ask would be to accept other fitness trackers, not compatible with Coros tracker. Besides that great app and easy to input activities and track individual and team progress.
  • Calculation is off and support is bad

In the activity stats when you convert steps to distance it calculates incorrect I have over 200k steps and it says 30 miles it even reduced over the last couple days.

I contacted support and he simply says “we don’t convert steps to miles” which is totally inaccurate. Activity Stats>Select the drop down for Distance.

I’m required to use the to keep my health benefits at my work and hit a set amount of miles and not only is it not working correctly but support doesn’t even know what the app is able to do to fix it.

Hello Azalea, the distance viewed in the Walkingspree app is directly transferred from the activity tracking app that you have connected, in your case Apple Health, and thus Walkingspree does not convert the steps to miles but it transfers the miles that you have taken in the Apple Health app. Please do contact support@walkingspree.com or use live chat feature located in the help section of the app for further clarification.
  • Incentivizes Me and Enables Me to Measure Performance

I enjoy using this app to : (1) enable me to measure my daily performance relative to my goals; (2) giving me an added incentive to maintain a daily program and achieve my goals; and (3) measure and report my performance. The app is easy to use.
  • Problem with Fitbit data gathering

Normally I love my Walkingspree. The past two days, and today, it’s not picking up data from my Fitbit ap, very frustrating. So I went to the website to address the issue; I still don’t know why it was messed up—but at least I think it’s fixed.
  • Email notifications

I enjoy getting my email notifications... and wondering if you might consider changing the layout.... many people, and I for one, glance at emails. In the Walkingspree emails there is valuable information for getting people moving, including families. Maybe put the participant’s name at the top with the great suggestions underneath their name and then the participant’ stats at the bottom... most people, I would guess, want to see their stats, but don’t even read the suggestions because they are clear at the bottom. The current layout of the email, with the suggestions at the bottom, may not encourage people to scroll to the bottom. Just a thought! I am a nurse and a health coach, and always thinking of ideas for encouraging people! Thanks for reading 😀

  • Great incentive!

I started this app and got my Apple Watch when my employer offered incentive points. It has really helped me to stay mindful of making sure I get enough steps in each day and at least stopping to breathe a few times , as well as doing some exercise each day.
  • Sometimes crashes and is slow

It takes quite a bit of time to update steps and points table doesn’t open right away.
  • Autosync doesn't work

App says you can auto sync with Iphone health but this feature doesn't work. Talked to customer service and they said it should given all the permissions I had on. Pretty frustrating for it not to work and have to check the app daily at the end of the day for it to upload
  • Good with a few minor issues

App is pretty solid. Customer support is quick. A few issues with it not syncing or having the wrong numbers but generally pretty accurate.
  • Security problems

The app is fine, we used it for a company challenge. My problem with it is that if you want to connect a Fitbit to it, it asks for a bunch of unnecessary permissions including access to your profile and health info. I contacted their tech support, and their answer was basically “don’t worry about it, we don’t use that info”. Completely unacceptable! Security matters and these guys are second rate developers.

Update: 5 months later and nothing has been improved. Tech support is useless.

Walkingspree: You are asking for an intrusive amount of information for connecting a Fitbit. Why? This is an employer sponsored thing and I should not be asked for that much info. Please improve it!
