  • Sync problems

It wasn’t the first time my device wasn’t syncing. Why does it wait till I’m not synced for 8 days before I get a notification? At least this time I got a text, but the last time it happened my coworkers let me know because they saw I made no steps. And why does it not retroactively catch up from my Apple health app? I have no data since January 1st.

  • Walkingspree has been amazing!

My employer has used this for the last few years and has offered incentives if we met step goals. I guess it would be easier to work an extra two hours if I really wanted that quarterly $50, but I was so proud of earning my 10k average step bonus! Very sad that they will no longer be continuing the program. It was something that really made me feel valued as an employee. Hopefully I can keep walking spree and can average my steps to keep and maintain personal goals. If not, it was fun while it lasted. Some ideas for future... I would love to see an average sleep incentive! It’s common knowledge that good sleep hygiene makes for a healthier, happier and much safer workforce. Why not incentivize it?

  • Syncing

I have 3 different fitness apps on my iPhone and have this app set to sync with all 3 for
Consistency and it fails to sync consistently with them. Some days it shows no activity, and others it shows the lowest activity of all three. I have even changed the Walkingspree app to sync with only one app, and it still has the same issues..

  • Need a device

I don’t have a Fitbit or other device. So I keep my phone in my “tech”pocket of my pants. It tracks my steps very well but I think in the future I would get a Fitbit for other info. Walkingspree does not have any data on my active time and while my steps are way up there my mileage is low.
  • Syncing problem

Supposably the newest update on my phone was to fix ‘bugs’ regarding syncing issues. Still having problems with this. Apple Health will have a number greater than 10,000 steps, and Walkingspree’s number initially has matched, but later changes to a significantly lower number. If This keeps up, I will not have sufficient recordings to average 10,000 steps a day for this last quarter, even though Apple Health says I did.

  • Poor syncing

It’s a bummer that this app doesn’t back sync or correct itself. I’ve had over 10k of steps for the 25 days and for a few of days and it would say less than 900 . I don’t care for this app so much, only using it because my company chose it for the walking competition. Anyway, my average is brought down and that’s a bummer.

  • Inconsistent syncing problems

Overall, the app is very user friendly and functions fairly well. However, Walkingspree is connected to my employers health and wellness program and there have been times (sometimes 3-5 day long spans) where data will not sync. This may not seem very significant but we receive benefits based on our quarterly step averages and five 0 step days really impacts that average. I personally use Garmin Products to track activity and my steps will show on my Connect dashboard but will not sync to my Walkingspree (even retrospectively). I have put in several requests with no resolution which has been very disappointing.

Thank you for reviewing our app. I see that you have your Garmin connected. Our app normally syncs without issues with Garmin and many other trackers. However, we did recently have a minor bug that effected our Garmin users and we apologize for the inconvenience. Our developers have fixed the issue. If your steps still haven't synced, please disconnect and reconnect Garmin in the Walkingspree mobile app. Then do a Force sync by opening up the dashboard in Walkingspree mobile app by clicking on the refresh icon ( at the left bottom corner). If you need further help, please email support@walkingspree.com
  • Good but slow to refresh

I like this app a lot and my company uses it for challenges to help keep employees motivated to stay healthy.
The only issue I seem to have with the app is that it takes forever to update my steps. (Yes I have the most current update of the app and my watch is up to date software wise as well). I use an Apple Watch so this may be the issue but that is my only complaint.

  • Works well with Fitbit

Downloaded for company for intention to work with Fitbit and so far it works well and displays exactly as you’d expect. I wish you could look at other timeframes however than the default ones in the app.
  • Customer service is so helpful!

Walking spree is used in conjunction with my health insurance. Customer Service has been so helpful to me in the change from the omron devices to smart ones!!
