  • Buggy App—use at your own risk

My employer uses this app for step challenges. I participated in my first step challenge in July. In the last week of the challenge, Walkingspree lost all my information. I contacted HR, HR contacted Walkingspree and it took them three days to do anything. I already wasn’t going to place in the challenge—I knew that. But this buggy app lost my information and wiped away any sense of accomplishment I might have had. So, going forward, I’ll use another app. I’ll walk for exercise but I will never allow this lousy app to ruin my progress. Since my employer is using Walkingspree, I won’t be participating in the step challenges either. It’s more important to me to have a quality experience and enjoy my exercise.

  • Not my favorite...

It doesn’t sync well with my Apple Watch or apple health. Actually, it never syncs and if I don’t remember to reconnect it, I lose the data. It doesn’t back log the missing days that I wasn’t connected from my apple health. It would be great if the app is able to identify the missing days from when I wasn’t synced and add them for my work contest.

  • Way too many prompts to rate app

Walkingspree uses iOS notifications to hound you to rate the app, which is a violation of App Store guidelines. Well, here’s you rating. I use this app for a wellness program at work. I don’t have a choice. I don’t want to be harassed to rate the app, especially through notifications. It’s bad enough to be asked to rate the app every time I open it, but the notifications are too far. STOP.

  • Health and wellness

I use Walkingspree both for professional and personal reasons. My employer introduced the app as a health and wellness initiative. For participating, we receive incentives (Jump rope, socks, etc..) More overly, I have personally set goals to exercise more often for heart health! The app tracks my steps, it’s in sync with my iPhone. It is easy to use. I recommend Walkingspree to others seeking track their aerobic activities.

Hi Conscious Fitness, Thank you for the great rating and review. The team here at Walkingspree think it is AWESOME that you are using the app to engage your co-workers. We hope you tell more of your co-workers to check the app out and use the club and friend challenges. Be sure to use our chat feature if you have questions on any of the many things you can do with our app.
  • Do not purchase a product

I purchased a product and then needed to return it so I emailed them and they said a refund would be issued once item was received. I sent it and they have never refunded me. I emailed several times and they said once that they’d check on it but never emailed back. I even wrote a letter and sent it in the mail to the one of the management teams and have still not heard back and no refund as yet. That was in March and it’s now May. Not happy at all with this aspect, the app is fine but not customer service and to me if you don’t satisfy that then I won’t use the app.

  • Good app

I really like this app but gave it 4 stars because I have problems syncing my steps. It does not auto sync and if I skip more than 2 days without syncing my step they do not show up. I can see them on my Apple Watch but will not transfer.
  • Buggy, buggy, buggy

This isn’t worth the hassle getting it too work. In order to have this app correctly list my Fitbit steps I have to send in logs so they can manually update the dashboard. Others in my company using the app have similar issues. Or the app will update and short the number of steps. Buggy, buggy, buggy. What should be a fun and community building program is beyond frustrating.

  • It’s eh

Doesn’t allow you to input miles. However when you put in kms, it converts it to miles but still says kms. So.....are we getting cheated out of manual input???? Also no description of what is considered Low/Med/High for activities. It’s lame really, but my work is using it for a challenge. I’ll delete it and use my normal app to track once that’s over.

  • Wish I knew...

Overall, it’s a great app for employers to use to create step challenges for their employees. But I wish I knew to physically sync it to my smartwatch before bed...now it’s too late, and days later I realize it doesn’t sync automatically. So it looks like I walk a lot less. Just kinda bummed! Otherwise, very good.

  • Great app that’s earned me quite a bit of money!

The hospital I work for gives the employees financial incentives for using this app. The app is very accurate with recording steps/distance. Lots of encouraging features to keep one motivated as well.
