Reviews of HIIT (Watch) Timer

  • Needed

A volume control and the ability to change the sounds (only a whistle now). Otherwise, good.
  • Haptic Feedback Too Weak

Love the app, but had to take a point for the haptic feedback, it’s just too light. When doing Tabata I miss the cue frequently.

    Please make it stronger.
  • I use this watch HIIT app several times a week

I got this some months ago when I was about halfway through a 10 week program in the book “you are your own gym“. Now I’m in week 10 of a second 10 week program, and this little watch app has been so useful! The only downside: you can have only 20 reps, and the book, on the Tabatas days, calls for three groups of eight: oops, that’s 24! Hey, that’s OK, Tabatas are hard anyway :-) 20 is fine.

I really like how the results of the workout feed into the activities app. In order for this to happen, you have to agree for access to Apple health. Make sure you decide to do this the first time, otherwise you will have to delete the app and reinstall it again to activate this.

There are several different configurations of HIIT that I do, and it is very easy to adjust those using the watch interface. It comes with a Phone app as part of it, but I have never used it. I always use the watch.

I would definitely recommend this app if you are doing high intensity interval training.
