An app that helps start your day in a beautiful way!
I wake up every morning in anticipation of two things...this app and coffee (of course). I pour a cup of coffee then quietly sit down and read today’s devotional. Liz writes with a clarity and calmness that is comforting and gives me an opportunity to reflect.
Each week there is a theme the devotionals address. They are beautifully choreographed from day to day. There is a main tie in that runs throughout the week, but each day allows for slightly different reflections.
If you are searching for a quieter, calmer morning routine...my suggestion...start with this app...it’s simply the best!Show lesscarrie//j

No place to hide from these real and honest reflections about life and faith in these devotionals. Thankful to have found a daily reading that not only thoughtfully considers scripture, but also current events and well suited quotes of wisdom from a variety of different people. Just what I needed...
In the midst of self isolating and quarantine my mind has been full of uncertainty, worry and doubt. My monkey brain has resorted to comparing myself through my phone. Too much “social” that makes you feel anti social and not enough peace. Thankfully last month I found the practice co. This morning as I woke up and went to check my phone I felt called to open up the practice co instead of instagram and Liz’s words and interpretation spoke directly to me. Helping me to find a moment of calm before scurrying off for the day. Not only did I find calm in the morning but her words kept coming back to me multiple times during the day. As I get ready for sleep for the first time in quite a few weeks I feel calm and a sense of peace. I was introduced to The Practice Co. on Instagram when a friend sent me a post last year on grief...right after my dad passed away from cancer, only nine days after receiving his diagnosis. I like to do things “well,” and wanted to be intentional this past year on how to grieve...this account has helped me through that and appreciate life even more. I ironically work as a nurse in the intensive care unit, so am faced with sickness and death every day...yet feel more full of life than I probably ever have before.
I’ve been told a few times recently by new-ish people I’ve met at work things like, “wow, it’s nice talking about deep stuff with someone,” or, “not a lot of people want to think/feel that intentionally.” I’ve been blessed to have grown up with and still be surrounded by friends that are lovely...and we often are checking in with each other about the “hard stuff” of life, so I forget that not everyone is used to that sort of thing. The posts inspire me to continue to help people slow down, be intentional, and appreciate the life that we have to live.
Besides really enjoying the Instagram page, I’ve also recently downloaded the app and purchased an annual subscription to the devotions. They’ve been such an encouragement, especially during these strange times.
I feel that I’m on the same page as the writers of this app, but they’re able to put things much more eloquently than I. It’s such a blessing to have available!Show lessCari Jo 24

I adore this app...I purchased it after following The Practice Co on Instagram and really connecting with the ideas and words they shared there. Having the app is brilliant, the topics they cover are so spot on, and the content is written so beautifully, thoughtfully and graciously. I look forward to my morning reading of the devotional, it's honestly the best start to my day! Also, the support they offer is brilliant...I had an issue with the app not updating and after using the contact form on The Practice Co website I received a reply the next day with a quick and easy fix...so thanks, Jesse. I've recommended this app to multiple people in my life and will keep doing so. In my experience, the Christian landscape of information and teaching has been one that’s often left my quite bamboozled.
Across the years I’ve leaned into a life of faith that was out worked via a list of should’s and should nots that I’d gleaned from a 4 point charismatic sermon. But, as life has progressed and real events like death, sorrow, unexpected endings (work and relationships) happened, my faith instructions on life have kinda failed me.
For me, the daily readings from this app have offered up real words that have helped to frame a different lens that I now do life through.
(Including the highs and the lows)
I’m soooo grateful for the honest heartfelt words that are written here and I have to say, on more than one occasion I have felt the daily reading was written just for ME.
If you’re after a dollop of truth in your world, that’s not full of hype, but instead hope, I reckon you should download this app.
For the past two years it’s been one of my most well used / loved apps and it’s here to stay as long as the creatives keep writing.
We maybe strangers, but I feel like we could be sisters Liz. I'm cheering you and your family on from the West Coast of Australia.

I love this app! I start every morning with my coffee beside me, the devotional in front of me and a notebook and pen ready. The message is always relevant and real, ties back to scripture and helps me reset my state of mind. The messages are full of truth and strip away the mask that the world often hides behind to take a look at truth. The wallpapers are also beautiful and I often download them. This Changed My Life
I’m a college student who, after leaving home to go to school, stopped really going to church. I wanted to figure out if I really believed in what I’d been taught growing up, or if I had just never been taught different. All I knew is that I was tired of so many of the issues with churches and Christianity nowadays. I always felt like I wasn’t a good enough Christian, and some people even told me because I didn’t believe in all of the rules that I wasn’t a “real Christian”. This devotional was the first time I’ve ever felt connected to a message, and like the preacher (or in this case author) was actually talking in a way that made sense. I will forever be grateful to Liz Milani for allowing me to learn the message in a positive way and to finally feel like there is someone out there who believes what I do, and makes that message accessible.
