  • App

    App glitches out and doesn’t send me notifications about the system being armed or disarmed until I open the app. And yes I have the notifications enabled. It also doesn’t give me the option to add cameras and the app and my phone are all currently updated.
  • The app is not as useful as I would like.

    The app freezes especially when I attempt to use it to arm the alarm or disarm. It oftens get stuck and then I have to get repetitive response that are delayed. The app is not that great. Some bugs really need to be worked on to allow it to be useful as comprable systems
  • Not really worth it but oh well

    Have had Alder over one year now, everything was fine and dandy at first. Now all of my products with sticky backs (front/back door chime, motion sensor, glass break) are falling off my walls and not sticky anymore. Not necessarily anybody’s fault and the motion sensor I have propped up on a shelf, but was told I’d have to pay them $20 for EACH sensor replacement...so now they’re currently clear taped to the door frame, because who wants to pay $60 for something that I’m gonna have to replace EACH YEAR. (Not to mention I had no clue when I signed up that it was a 3 year contract but oh well at this point)

    But now my issue is that allllll of my sensors don’t show when triggered in the app. Example- I leave for work in the morning and am gone all day, I go to the app to see if my landlord entered without permission, and the only notifications I have is the dates where the alarms were set or turned off.
    Called customer support and sat there with the man for an hour and 20 minutes trying to figure it out and walk around the house holding the panel and opening and closing doors looking like a fool, only for them to tell me that I have to WAIT FOR THEM TO UPDATE THE APP!!!! it’s been over a month!!!! What the frick is the point of having a system and having an app to check it if I’m unable to see activity!!!! (Their response- “well you’re still able to set the alarms and it shows you those notifications” yea but if my dad came over and walked in with the alarms set while I’m at work, I don’t want to have to have him try to explain to the sheriffs why the alarm went off. Plain ridiculous Alder, if you would do regular maintenance on the app then you wouldn’t have so many negative reviews and open complaint cases with the BBB.

  • Highly recommended

    I have been a customer for over a year now and when I was getting the app I read a lot of negative reviews about them but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I have with no issues with the app or the cameras they installed everything works Perfect.
  • Needs major improvements

    This app needs a lot of improvement. It lags, it doesn’t disarm or arm when I press it. It’s just overall bad right now
  • This app is terrible

    This app needs to be completely revised. It constantly freezes and at times will not log out without shutting down the entire I pad.
  • Horrible service - Scam

    I had their alarm system for a year which was decent so I decided to add an outdoor camera. They told me I had to renew my contract for 60 months and increase my monthly payment. I was in really desperate need for outdoor cameras after a scary incident so I agreed. It’s been three months I have never received my camera. I’ve talked to over 7 representatives to get my account cancelled and the won’t without charging me a 60 month penalty fee for a service and an equipment I have never received. I am being monthly charged and they refuse to provide refunds or cancellation or even an eta on when I should receive my camera. At this point I created a case with the BBB I santo cancel this scam of a company and have nothing to do with it.

  • Just stay away from this company

    I’m only writing this to warn everyone to stay away from this company. If you already signed the contract strap in you’re about to be robbed of $3600. You’re at the app so you’re probably already signed the contract.
  • Terrible do not purchase

    Purchased 4 outdoor cams 2 door monitor, and 6 window monitors. Wasn’t satisfied tried to cancel they will not let me cancel and ship equipment back. I’m stuck in 5 year contract. Alder constantly sends Sherrif out to my house. Without notifying me first
  • Camera detection

    Yall need to work on human detection and vehicle detection more often i get alerts from spiders in the camera when i should be getting alerts that someone is approaching my home or that a vehicle is pulling into my home thats the purpose of the cameras and i get all these notifications about everything except what i need to be notified about! I might be switching to adt if this is not improved within the next month
