  • Not good enough for large libraries

I love Macpaw products. Not this this one. It’s flawed in a few ways. The tools for sorting through large amounts of photos just aren’t good enough. I found That soon after I started a photo sort session I’d give up as if would just take far too long. I have tons of duplicates but the app doesn’t let you delete duplicates in one go which seems an obvious feature. Instead you have to go through each one in turn. Why?! They’re duplicates. I don’t need to check with my eyes if they’re the same. You just told me they were! Annoying

  • Download and tried for free but they still charged me a subscription.

Pretty average app to be honest and didn’t want to subscribe however it automatically deducted the money even after I only wanted the free 7 day trial! I turned off the subscription the same day I download the free app however it still charged me. Super annoying. Emailed the company to get a refund but never heard back.

  • Does Okay

Gemini II does help speed up the de-dupe process considerably. I would recommend it if you have hundred or thousands of duplicates or triplicates like I had. 10,000 photos is now down to 5,000. Unfortunately, there are a few things about the app that make me frown.

It doesn’t yet work on videos. Portrait mode only which is odd on the iPad. Asks for a review every time the app is used. Every time. Shows instructions on how to add Siri Shortcuts every time the app is used. Every time. Some photos are flagged as dupes when they’re wildly different - probably due to a similar file name or metadata.

Overall Gemini II does a good job for what it’s meant to do . . . with a few annoying head-scratching choices from the developer. I already bought the app, stop with the pop-ups. Like many other apps, please just let me use it without “helpful” advice that gets in the way of me enjoying it.

  • It actually a really useful app guys trustt!!

Im not usually the one to make a review about an app, but this one right here guys is worth it. I’m those type of people to take random screenshots, up to like 5 a day and I don’t end up looking back at them loll, and this app helped me delete everything I don’t need any more. I know you might be like, bruh why get an app for that when you can just look at your camera roll and delete the pics you know your not going to need, etc etc. But this app helps you literally separate everything in different categories that help sooo muchhh. It’s literally my favorite feature on this app, the categories helppp soo muchh, trust me it’s worth it.

  • Mrs Jane Jones

So far, I just started, it’s “GREAT!”
As you see, I have way too many pictures, but never seem to take the time to go through them! So I must tell you that so far I love it. It’s so organized and spelled out for me. All I have to do,LOL, is go through the thousands you have so nicely marked for me. There were some I either wanted or needed to keep. It made me feel guilty, but even though one was blurry, the little boy is my nephew, whom is no longer with us. And others I kept either had a sentimental value or I need them for different reasons. Not many!!
But I must say that I am thrilled with what I’m seeing!
    Thank You!

  • Great app, but could use some fine tuning

I use this app a lot to clean up photos on my phone. My pictures automatically back up using a cloud service so I can remove them periodically. This makes it easy to sort through duplicates. That said, I take a lot of photos I wish there was a way to pick photos to remove based on age and just remove them as a batch without having to sort through each photo. This is generally what I want to do by the time I get around to cleaning up my camera roll and I don't like having to take action on each photo or delete everything with no middle ground.

  • Great idea. Terrible execution.

I have about 1.5k photos and I left the app running over night and it still didn’t register all of them. It’s not just painfully slow, it’s murderously slow! When I gave up on waiting for it to “scan” all my photos I thought if I start interacting and deleting some more will come up. Photo previews take forever to load any other action takes even longer because of that. I can’t find any more details or instructions in the app interface and I’m not going to bother googling for solutions because it’s ridiculous to use a browser to solve an app problem - apps are supposed to be out shortcuts!
Is this a trick of the free trial so that we can’t clean everything up before canceling? So if I let it roll over to pay it would all of the sudden work better? If that’s the case... good job on making a preview so bad it’s not even worth sticking around the full whole three day trial.
Seriously, I’m better off doing it manually.

  • Love this app BUT

Just had something unacceptable happen. I was going through my “Similar Photos” and selected 31 photos for deletion. When I pressed “Delete 31 Similar” I received the Photos prompt asking me to confirm deletion of 261 photos. Each time I reattempted I got the same 261 even though only 31 were selected. I figured there was no way around the bug until it was fixed, and 261 seemed like a low enough number that I can check my recently deleted and recover what I wanted to keep so I just went on and deleted. When I checked my recently deleted, those 261 photos included my original selected 31, but also included 230 other memories that I might have lost forever if I wasn’t paying attention to the numbers (which I don’t always do since I like to trust the app is working). This is unacceptable. Please fix this bug. In any view where I have selections made, it is not hard to confirm that the number set for deletion == the number selected.

  • Shady pricing!

Introducing the only app in the App Store that says they allow family sharing but DON’T allow family sharing! I should've trusted my instincts and the other negative reviews. Of course, customer service is TERRIBLE. They'll happily automatically charge you while ignoring your email.

    DO NOT GIVE THEM MONEY

I sampled the app today for five dollars a month I thought I’d give it a try and I’ve already deleted maybe 16,000 unnecessary photos snapshots screenshots double photos unnecessary things in my phone I’ve cleared up so much space I was up in the middle of the night for three hours but wow what an addicting appI hate to put my phone down but the battery starting to die I would definitely suggest this app to anyone who wants to manage their phone clean it up and have fun while doing it. I never realized how much unnecessary crap I kept in my phone
