Double orders and low pay
Whenever I get double orders, Rob does not notify the customers that I have double orders so they keep expecting me to deliver their order as soon as is marked, picked up even when I’m still on my way to go pick up the second order. And the worst part of this whole thing is that drop up will start reminding you that you haven’t move closer to delivery after picking up, not telling them that you are still trying to pick up the second order this is a mess. Customer insulted me for being late to her delivery, even though I never wasted time when I picked up the order according to her, she saw me in a different place instead of me coming straight to her, I tried to explain to her that I had to deliveries and was finishing up. She insisted that if I had to deliveries that they would have been notified. I understand what they mean by this because even DoorDash would always notify the customer that the driver is finishing up a delivery from Customer. Please do something about it and also your new payment is not fair anymore. You keep sending $2 to $4 each time for delivery if we don’t pick it, you mark it against us for not accepting orders. How much is gas do you think is fair please you should do better.

THE WORST delivery service as a driver
If I could give them 0 stars I would, but unfortunately it’s not an option. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT waste your time and gas delivering for Grubhub. They have 0 regard for their drivers as long as their orders are fulfilled that’s all they care about. At least once a day I waste my time and gas driving to pick an order up that THEY assigned me, only to find out they assigned it to MULTIPLE drivers. So, not only do you lose the money for the order, but they compensate you a DOLLAR for all the time and gas wasted, not to mention you have to call customer service, wait for them to confirm with the merchant, then wait longer until they cancel it before you can even get the opportunity to receive more orders. When you express your frustrations to them all they have to say is there is nothing they can do. AWFUL company TERRIBLE service. Winds up costing you money on gas and wear and tear on your car when you can be using all that wasted time working for somebody else. Oh, and if you’re on a mission and this happens - not only do the cancelled orders that you wasted time and gas to drive and pick up get thrown away, but you also don’t get credit towards the mission. Which is even MORE time and money wasted. Absolute JOKE of a company.

Why are you ending my session every single evening? What is the goal doing that? What do you achieve by kicking everybody out from your own app? Can you for the love of god stop doing that?
Every little thing that comes out in this app just like the other gig work apps, never seems to work for the driver but to hurt them in some sort of way! I mean talk about taking advantage of drivers. Doing this will only hurt your business in the long run. You have done it for years and it hurt your business. But somehow you still don’t seem to understand the fact your entire business model is built around decent drivers. And you are making their lives harder with every little thing you change and update in this app. I mean even the fact that when you didn’t have enough drivers, you increased the pay to 15$ per order. Then again, system was loaded with drivers again. Once you have more than enough drivers again, you immediately cut the pay off. Don’t you think this is unethical?

Not impressed
After driving Uber eats then grub hub they are definitely skimping on pay same orders I would take on Uber eats that pay 20 plus grub hub pays 10 to 12 and god forbid they sneak in a double order. Take that into consideration the time it actually takes to drive to deal with restaurants that don’t prioritize online deliveries and getting it to the customer even if your going as fast as possible your lucky to make 20 an hour and that doesn’t include gas maintenance anything could be standing at McDonald’s doing nothing for more. If you try to average this to hourly it isn’t cutting it should literally just be more for people’s room service because that’s what this basically is getting 8 bucks to hand deliver someone their food is ridiculous should really rethink this food delivery stuff the only people enjoying it are the customers getting their food delivered for barely the cost of fuel to do so. Also they do these bonus days like today where if you do 8 deliveries in a row without skipping they give you like 25 bucks did 2 right off the bat then it just goes dead haven’t had a order in over a hour on Uber door dash it’s non stop literally sitting in a hot zone and getting no requests so there bonuses are impossible to get!

App issues
You can be a premier, but not get the benefit of that because the app failures they will claim it is your phone and on your end when it’s not. Set availability is supposed to let you select any timeslots for the following week. I have uninstalled reinstalled updated tried everything multiple times and everything is grayed out except for at the top it’s displaying wrong and the only two times that are not grayed out are 11:30 PM and 12 AM Everything else is grayed out and you can’t select it also, it’s not supposed to display 12 AM then under that 11:30 PM then under that 12 AM again So for me on my end, regardless of what I do even though I’m a premier and it should let me select any time for the following week it doesn’t because it’s displaying the screen wrong and showing the wrong times at the top, which then grays everything out except for the top two times THIS IS NOT BLOCK SELECTION this is set availability so nothing should be greyed out. it all worked fine before, no problems for years now it doesn’t no matter what I do on my end.

Good luck
Been using this app for quite a long time now. In the beginning it was great (2019) but I stopped for about a year and picked it back up again in 2022 and when I did it was beyond horrible. I schedule myself to work throughout the week and have ALWAYS committed to following through as well as accepting EVERY order I receive so I can be assured the contribution if I don’t make a minimum amount on an order (EVEN WHEN THE DELIVERY IS WAY OUTSIDE OF MY ASSIGNED AREA) and I kid you not every single time I do I end up on the phone with support because something has gone wrong, not being able to mark arrived at restaurants, people’s houses, being randomly kicked off the app in the middle of deliveries etc and when I’m lucky enough to finally get ahold of someone to talk to them about it and have it corrected i always get the run around “oh this won’t affect your stats” and while I’m on the phone with them it my stats are affected. It is the biggest joke of a gig work system I have ever seen in my life and it’s so sad because I used to actually really enjoy doing it. Don’t bother putting in a report because nothing ever gets done about it, it’ll just get “escalated to the higher department” in which I’m convinced doesn’t even exist. So shameful and slimy and I’m beyond disappointed

Distance tips new orders
New orders pop up when in the middle of driving the first order you are trying to deliver dangerous as I’m making a left turn trying to finish the first order I’m dinged with another order I have to view physically by touching the screen while driving smh very dangerous for us drivers. Fix this please. Allow us to receive these when the car is stopped and not driving. Most of the day depending on the areas you will be hit with a 3 dollar order for 8 miles away which I will decline anything under 1.50 a mile. Lots of times the app wants you to drive 12 miles back to a fast food restaurant for a order when you left that area 7 mins ago to try another area. Example there is a McDonald’s a couple blocks away from me but the app wants me to drive back to a McDonald’s 7 miles away to come back to the very area I was just in from the McDonald’s a couple blocks away from me smh … Most people do not cover tips for the distance And gas. If your going to do orders 2 to 3 dollars and the miles are more to get to those areas then your just working for gas and paying for maintenance on your car and you eventually make nothing for yourself…

Terrible pay/milesage ratio
The new pay for orders and the miles of the deliveries are not matching. Grubhub decreased the pay on the orders and want drivers to deliver more miles for less. It seems as if they don’t car how much traffic or gas are in the drivers city. Example: 2 orders from 2 different restaurants shouldn’t be $7 and the driver has to go 8+ miles, sometimes the customers houses are in opposition direction. Also Grubhub should take out the “on time at the restaurant “ button because either one restaurant is taking too long with an order or the driver has to deliver the customer food in a high riser building and has to wait for elevators, doorman, or customer. This app has significantly reduced the normal payout of a average days of work and this will lead to less drivers picking up blocks. Also take away the multiple buttons to call the restaurant or customer. It’s no reason I have to press the call button 3x just to call someone. It should be one press for the call to go thru.
