Good but latest update is a mess
Since the update a few weeks ago, I have to manually refresh the screen where all my smart plugs are to see if they’re on or off. The app doesn’t seem to automatically sync to the plugs anymore, particularly if I have Google Assistant turn them on or off via voice command.
It is extremely annoying that pop up ads come up every time I open the app. I just want to turn my lights on or off and I’ve already bought your product, so the pop up ads are particularly irritating. Ditch the constant pop ups, please, so the app can function smoothly again.
Other than those two gripes about the latest update, the products themselves (or at least the smart plugs) and the app work well.Show lessEazyWeazy

Hello, we apologize for the inconvenience. Our latest app version can now disable pop-up ads. Android 5.1.22 : https://smartapp.tuya.com/gosundsmart and IOS 5.0.3: https://smartapp.tuya.com/gosundsmart. Please open the app, click Me> go to Settings> App Notification >Advertising Push (under Display Home Banner). Stopped responding
It was working great until randomly it stopped responding to my phone. I tried everything I could think of yet it still didn’t work. I bought the lightbulb because when I moved into my house the string to turn off the light while still having the fan on broke. So I bought this so I can still sleep with the fan on without having to take out the light every time I want it off. The bulb itself still worked so I have no idea why it won’t connect. No more Siri?
I used to control my tap-to-run scenes with Siri via the Shortcuts, but now it seems with a recent update (or iOS 15) that was removed? Please bring it back!TheCapitalC
plant problems = solved
i use the Gosund power strips & smart plugs for the grow lights for my plants. having the app makes it so i can control the lights from anywhere — even on vacation. i’m able to have them on for whatever time frame i need which is ideal for my sensitive tropical plants.

A must add-on for “Smart” Cameras
These devices are easy to program and manage, including their dimmer switches, with which you can remotely dim or brighten outdoor (or indoor) lighting.
For those who utilize security cameras like Nest, occasionally these need to be reset. Nest online help guide instructs that if you can’t reset a camera that is not functioning properly (such as a picture that entirely blurry and unfocused) by using their app, you need to do a hard reboot by unplugging and plugging the camera back in. But of course you can’t do the latter remotely.
Adding these smart plugs, however, makes these remote power reboots possible — and it has worked twice already for me in the past five months.Show lessBoston2Maine

I have had many of the GOSUND products (outlets and bulbs) for 2 years and have LOVED them. However, today my phone did an update to the app and it appears the app no longer supports Siri Shortcuts for iPhone. This was the main reason I purchased this product. I didn’t want to have to buy an Alexa or Google Home device and loved that I could just use my phone. Siri Shortcuts integration set them aside from all others because they were the only ones I could find that would work with Siri. But now there’s nothing special and my days aren’t as efficient or easy. 🤬🤬🤬Show lessCluhrissuh13
Great Product.
This is an awesome gadget in itself but now I have learnt how to use the timers and other features like the schedule thing for programming it to come on and go off I feel it’s genuinely a 5 star product.Nigel.Bunney
Horrible since update
I had to log in all over again. China keeps popping up as my location. I can’t change my account information. To change my email address I had to enter my password but the new app says I can’t use symbols in my password. I used to be able to. So I had to change my password with the new requirements before I could try to change my email address. Then when I get to the passcode step it just says “Address already bound” and won’t update. You all messed up something that wasn’t broken.
This update was so bad I actually checked to make sure I didn’t install some malware spoof of the app by mistake.Show lessjrod3787
Latest Update…
This has been reliable for me since last year April when I bought my smart bulb… until the latest update, which has removed Siri functionality, now I can’t control the light without manually going into the app 🤦🏿♂️. Hopefully this will get fixed soonGujuluju
