  • Is there more?

So far this app and the controller work great for me via Bluetooth. I was hoping this set up would allow me to monitor the fan and temps while I am away on vacation. Is there a way to do this ? Or a wifi component that I can add?
  • Love the fans! The remote, not so much.

We LOVE the QuietCool whole house fans!!

When it works, the wifi remote works well. But when the fans’ WIFI drops out, it takes several steps, that aren’t all intuitive, to try and reconnect. I have tried deleting and reinstalling the app, I tried to find my fan’s wifi on the list of local WIFIs, turned off the circuit breaker and turned it back on, and have now been advised to go up I to the attic crawl space to turn the fans’ WIFI off and on again from the button on the unit, not from the (easy to access) circuit.
My husband has had to go through these steps like 20 times since we bought our fans (which I again have to say we love!)

This weekend I am having the QC RF hub installed, which I’m hoping will work more consistently than the “smart wifi”.

  • CANNOT BE CONTROLLED REMOTELY VIA THE INTERNET

This device can only control the fan via one Bluetooth device that has to be located near the fan. It’s not a smart device that you can control from any location of from multiple devices or via Alexa or Google Home. Wifi is used only to make firmware updates, not for controlling the device. This limitation needs to be made explicit in the description. Can this capability be added with a firmware update?

  • Works as Advertised

The app does exactly what I need it to do. As another user mentioned, I would love to see a bar graph of the temp over time to see the highs and lows throughout the day. And even compare it to the outside temp. PS. I installed one of these fans in my garage as well and couldn’t be happier with my decision.

  • I can’t really rate it because my husband is the only one who can connect the app

It would be nice if this was multi-user, but since my husband paired it with his phone, I am not able to pair the app, therefore can’t control it 🙁
  • App controls are bad

You can’t update the app. Fails every time. No fan control aside from auto temp controlled which is bad since you end up sucking in hotter air from outside. Add a date and time of day controlled feature to the app please!
  • Much Improved Ap

The big companies in smart home technology set the bar so it’s hard for other companies to compete. Having said that,Quietcool‘s new smart fan app is a big improvement over the previous Wi-Fi enabled app. Wi-Fi is just too complicated for most people and not as stable as Bluetooth. I especially like the ability to transfer control from the app to another user without having to pair the second user with the hub directly. No more trips up on the roof to pair the system. While this app is greatly improved and easy to use, My hope is that Quietcool can continue to make this app better and more user-friendly.

  • Don’t waste your time on this app

Don’t waste your time on this app
Just download the Home Breeze app
And you will be find your problem to connect the fan has been solved.
  • Good but app needs work

I just had my attic fan installed today. I think I've found a could of needed improvements right out of the gate. First, an ON and OFF button so I can have manual control of the fan rather than having to run one of the smart modes. Second, since I have only one fan, it should auto log into the fan rather than me having to select it and wait for the WiFi to kick in.

  • Cannot stay connected once another phone is paired

The app doesn’t allow more than one phone to be connected to the attic fan. Using the pair function, phone A gets disconnected once phone B establishes a connection. Tried both phones back and forth using the pair function and it just doesn’t allow both phones to be connected to the fan. Please fix this!
