  • Does what it’s supposed to, no fuss

I worry about the strength of the Bluetooth connection in certain parts of the house but that’s not the fault of this app, which has worked flawlessly so far and the connection is only necessary when monitoring the fan or checking/changing the presets. The user interface is tidy and well-designed and the range of options practical and intuitive. With the fan unit out of reach — to me — on the roof, the true test will be whether the app and the hardware stays rock-solid through the CA summer and for years to come. So far, so good.

  • Fan Control

The remote (local) function works great. A Remote from anywhere WIFI controller would be something that customers may be interested in.
  • Newest app update has broken fan control

I went in to change my summer settings after the app update wiped out the old ones. it’s a two speed fan and I set the lower speed temperature at 55° and then I set the upper speed temperature at 75° and a warning comes on telling me that the middle speed temp cannot be higher than the higher speed temp. ITS A TWO SPEED FAN there is no middle speed!!

It’s becoming aggravating at this point

  • App is great just add history

Everything worked well with pairing the app to the controller. No problems with using the app at all. It good to see what’s going on in the attic. The one complaint/suggestion I have is I wished it would give you history so that you can see the different temps and humidity levels. This would be useful if you were trying to find a problem and it occurred during a certain time of day.

  • Baffling Design

This thing does not make a lot of sense. The benefits are minimal to a standard $20 device.
Since it runs on Bluetooth, none of the benefits are available to you outside of your home, including monitoring the humidity in your attic, or actually being able to run the fan during high humidity instances while you’re away. For example, on vacation.
Additionally, with the limited mode settings, if your humidity is above 50%, that fan will simply just run 24 hours a day. Most of these fans are generally permanent, so that thing will be burned out before too long. The overall design of the app is so basic, it might not have even been worth creating in the first place. Hopefully another brand will come along with something a bit more robust.

  • Request for enhancement

I bought the quiet cool attic fan a few weeks. It has worked nicely. I love the app supplying temperature and humidity measurements. However, it reports as instant data samples The app does not keep the measurement history available.
It will be valuable to users to see the history curves of the measurement for home improvement. I hope you can publish an upgrade to the app soon. Thanks!

  • App needs some additional features

The app connects well with the fan and overall works pretty well.

There is one issue, the app lacks the ability to sense outside air temperature or have time of day control.

The app only has the ability to turn the fan on at preset temperatures, which means in the early morning if your attic temperature is cooler than outside temp, it will still turn on even though it is cooler in your attic vs. outside.

Not sure why in Phoenix you would want to pull in hotter air from the outside.

They could fix this relatively easily through the app by connecting to local weather data or allowing time of day block out time that keep the fan from turning on.

  • Used to work, now fails to connect. Needs some love.

Please update this app to fix current 2023 bugs. Three years feels like you’ve sold or outsourced the development to a different entity that’s deprecated the app.

Also, I still don’t understand why this app can’t stay on WiFi since the firmware update already connects to WiFi. This would make much more sense for home users (or make Bluetooth secondary). Taking up 2.4ghz spectrum with another Bluetooth host device isn’t best commercial/residential practice.

Fortunately, the fan is second to none. But nevertheless, frustrating when the app controlling it doesn’t work - which reflects on the brand/product experience.

  • Need to be able to set based on outside temp

If this would let you use outside temp (even if just through a weather app reading based on location) it would be a HUGE help!!!

Ie if it's 100 deg on the sensor but it's 105 outside then it could be set to NOT turn on until the sensor temp was higher than the outside temp. Even better being able to set it to say "if sensor is >10 deg over outside temp, then turn on fan. (And a winter equivalent obviously.)

NO ONE I can find on the market offers a fan controller that can do this!!! (Or not for less than several hundred dollars!!!). If you are open to the idea, contact me and I'd be happy to provide better details!

  • App needs more features

The app needs to be able to set the humidity settings for the fan at high, medium and low speeds depending on humidity levels. Currently the only setting for humidity is one speed at one level of humidity. There also needs a way to track historical data so I can try to narrow down sources of excess humidity from household activities.

Two stars because the features and settings it does have work great, but extra features are needed.
