Love this money saving app
I love this app, it’s so much cheaper then target because they give you free gifts and free shipping! Also it’s their full vegan inventory as opposed to whatever target happens to have in stock. I just placed my second order with them. The first order was so much fun to receive it came in a cute box that looked and felt like a present. I know nothing about makeup but I that ELF has tutorials that I desperately need to watch. I’m also excited that they finally started making vegan nail polish! I also really want to get the surprise box. Oh so many fun things that elf offers. Great company. I worked with a make artist years ago and she is used to using super high end Sophora make up and she said that elf make up is really great!

Removes things from Cart
For some reason every time I added a product it would disappear from my cart. Some times the color choice I picked would change as well. I don’t understand why this was happening but it caused me to not end up buying the setting most because I had added it OVER and OVER and I couldn’t do it again and something else would disappear from the cart. It’s hard to purchase things and makes me not want to order again. Hopefully I can find it in store

I love the idea of buying from e.l.f cosmetics online, and I’ve only had the app for one day because I was looking forward to looking into the products. I spent half an hour, maybe more filling up my cart until I could purchase. Came to find out my cart was empty, literally everything I put into the cart was gone. I tried adding some of the things again but after a few minutes everything would just be gone. Aside from that, and sometimes being slow, it is truly a good app.

Rejects purchases, freezes, asks for inexistent updates
First off, I love elf and thought it’s such nice idea to have its own app, I downloaded it and placed an order, which was a pain to go through, I used Apple Pay and the app kept rejecting the transaction saying the billing address was invalid, I ended up deleting the app and downloading it again, this time the app didn’t reject the purchase, what I changed? -nothing. Later I wanted to check another product, the app kept loading the initial screen never moved forward, solution delete/re-download app, today is asking me to update the app, but I’m already up to date, I definitely look forward to the app working properly, meantime I’ll just pass :/
Edit: not updating the rating, unfortunately I had the same “invalid billing address” issue even after latest update, had to go through web page again

Great products, super customer support!
I have placed quite a few orders and products come pretty quick in nice sturdy boxes. I have had a problem with redeeming reward points on my last order, and it was after their office hours. Customer online support was very patient and helpful and resolved my issue very fast. I am thrilled to do business with the E.L.F. Company. They also have super sales and offer free shipping occasionally with all orders.

Terrible
I liked the app up until I decided to purchase something. I double checked my billing and my shipping address. But for some reason my shipping address changed to a mans name and automatically put in a street address that isn’t even in my town. And I can’t change my shipping address? Why? I’ve never been more frustrated with trying to order something. Now I probably won’t get the things I ordered. This website needs to make some changes with orders as well. We should be able to cancel an order if we want to. Please change that.

Basically doesn’t work
I’m using an older iPhone model, but I’ve used other makeup vendors’ apps which perform miles better than this one. The home page opens with a pop up i can’t close out of, the menu doesn’t pull up at all, and if I do manage to click on a link it’s a coins toss that it’ll actually go anywhere. The browser website on mobile in a similar way which makes me think this is just the website ported into app format. Love browsing through elf products, but apparently that’s a desktop only endeavor for me.

Hopefully an update is in the works...
Talk about SLOOOOOWWW. Remember dial-up internet? That was faster than this app. I’m sure it’s something that can be corrected eventually, but in the meantime I absolutely cannot use this app. Pages take an eternity to load, you tap on something and the lag is incredibly annoying. I absolutely love the layout of this app, and once it’s working properly I’ll change my review.

After an update in August.... I see no changes. In fact, I think it might be worse. I haven’t opened this app since I left my review, but saw there was an update so I got my hopes up. I can’t even log in. It just totally freezes up. Sorry ELF, I don’t have 5 hours to spend logging into your app. I love your products and I’d buy a lot more if your app actually worked. This is just pathetic.

Worst app ever
I downloaded the app onto my iPhone yet every time I click on the app it just shows a black page with LN it on hold for about 30 seconds and then just go away how can I order your products if I can’t access the app and this is very disappointing to me because I have worn your Cosmetics for over 15 years my daughter uses your cosmetics and we love them but I guess we’re going to have to switch to Smashbox their app is very easy convenient and doesn’t disappear every time you try to click on the app. I really do hope you can resolve this because I do enjoy your cosmetics!

Awesome app
I really liked the app. It has a friendly interface, easy to understand navigation, even if you are using the app for the first time. I really liked the Virtual try-on function, it is especially valuable in the current conditions of the pandemic, because I no longer have the opportunity to test cosmetics in the store, and I have to make purchases online. Make-up looks authentic, it's nice that you can not just look at the shades on models with similar appearance, but apply them to yourself, look from different angles, take a photo. I definitely recommend the app!
