This new version of Neat is absolutely TERRIBLE, the reason why I used this service was for it to help me create a report from the receipts that I scanned in which the older version of the app did, this new version does not allow me to reconcile unless I have my bank linked to it which I prefer not to have. At this point I will be cancelling my account after 7 years of using the services. Thank you for your time but I will no longer be paying $35 your updates services which are now useless to my needs. Cancelling my account effective today!

We are very sorry for any inconvenience caused while using our mobile application. Our developers are constantly working to improve the Neat experience across the board. Although the reconciling feature is meant to work alongside the transactions feature, you can still scan and save receipts with using the mobile application. The scanning function is horrible. We can point and press a button
I’ve been a Neat user since the first scanner...now all I have is an iPad ....this app is useless ....how do I transfer my over 10 years of documents to a new platform and what platform..... This is unbelievable for the monthly paid...so disappointed!

A lot more difficult to use than the legacy software, I relate this new software as going from a Maserati over to a Ferrari.You half to go back with their IT people and reestablish what you had before. This is very frustrating and aggravating , but It can be done and takes a little work, and for those I need a very sophisticated System this is pretty good. If all you want is organizing your receipts. It takes some work, But with their IT people, Very good and patience ,you can do this. Once you’ve got it established it’s actually pretty easy to work with. Rather than using scanners do you use your phone which actually is very sweet. Not having to use a scanner is definitely a plus. Using your iPhone to take pictures and put it into categories there’s really no different than the whole legacy software, Once you have learned their system.But you have to go through the training with her IT people and they are very good and very patient. I was impressed with that I did not want to leave the old legacy software but once it was done I’ve been pretty happy.
The interface between the phone and the computer makes this app convenient and easy to use. I have been using it for several years since it had the Neat scanner. It is definitely gotten more easy to use in personal device friendly. I would have given it five stars if I had more control over the camera. And taking photos of receipts it does not seem to recognize receipts unless there is a drastic difference between the receipt color in the background color. It would be nice to be able to control that on my own...to manually frame the receipt and manually take the picture.

Thank you again for submitting your feedback! You asked and we listened, manual capture is now back in the mobile app! When launching the application, you can simply toggle between turning Auto capture on and off. Now all of your documents will be in your Neat account exactly as you want.So they changed the app AGAIN?!!! This is getting ridiculous. Two scanners, mobile scanner and software defunct. Now file app too?!! Scam.
Have no heads up of changing their app. When I realized the last week of receipts weren’t loaded into computer, I went to investigate and found out they were frozen in an app that is no longer supported! I will be looking for a new service.
Today after my brand new ND1000 unit was taken out of storage and need to be put to use I contacted customer service. I was directed to purchase a plan and then was transferee to tech support where my rep was Danie. Danie was very informative and patient as I am not very tech savvy. Danie got me up and running, helped me set up my mobile access and helped me with any and all question and showed me examples on the system and I can assure there were many. This was the best customer service ever. After my old archive files are accessible, I know I can reach out to customer service without reservations and get the best customer service. Danie has set the bat very high!!! Thank you so much!!
I’ve used Neat since 2012. I just went back to an iPhone and downloaded the app to get some paperwork off my desk. It’ll take me 20 years to file all these receipts with the convuluted changes you’ve made to this app. You’ve ruined it. I’ll be canceling and finding another service ASAP. I don’t have time for manually putting files into a folder, nor waiting for your app to magically take the picture. I used to be able to open the folder I wanted things to go in, point, click, boom, done. Now I have to position the phone just perfect way above the image and wait for your app to take a pic and then it puts it in a random area that I then have to go back and find and place in the correct tax folder. That’s insane.
Just installed this because the old app said it was being retired in favor of this new version. Downloaded and opened it up, and it's nothing but a money grab to get you to upgrade to a higher-priced tier of service. The only thing you can do with a basic subscription is scan receipts. Every other function requires an upgrade.
With the old app I could see all my scanned receipts and files in the app - not any more...not even with an upgrade. No ability to see your stuff at all in all app. Total junk.
Time to look for a new solution for saving my receipts and documents.
