  • Feels like a grift

Developer does not list app cost in the App Store. Price is not disclosed until after you set up an account with personal information. Only then does it tell you the 7-day trial ends with either a $48/month or $199/year fee. That cost is obscene for what the app offers, and it’s more than double the cost they charged a few months ago. The 20% financial assistance discount they offer has a 6 month waiting list! That should tell you the price structure is exorbitant. Plus, 7 days isn’t enough time to assess the efficacy of this app, especially when the online counselors take 48 hours to respond. Responses should be immediate like other therapy apps (which don’t charge $200-$576 a year). The whole thing is shameful.

  • Helpful!

Diagnosed ND for over a decade. I also suffer from BPD, depression, anxiety. While Inflow is not meant for the others, it has helped significantly! I have never received decent mental health care, let alone the tips & tricks you get with Inflow, from any providers. So through my own research I know about things like DBT. Having inflow helps give me an actual example of what to do to utilize this knowledge. I’m also reinforced to stick to my progress, otherwise it’s just so easy for depression to keep me from motivating myself. Now, I can open Inflow and read inspiring tips and it naturally motivates me to be a better me, easy peasy 🥹

  • DONT DOWNLOAD UNLESS YOU WANT A PAID MEMBERSHIP

literally asks you to set up an account to only find out it’s a free one week trial and you have to pay afterwards…and it doesn’t even tell you the price when it asks you to continue. They just let you know that you don’t have to keep the app or you can cancel the membership. THEN if you don’t want to do the free trial you have to go an erase your account.
    *finds out it’s 200/yr*
As an impulsive person, i cannot impulsively invest $200 a year towards an app. I was so hopeful that it was going to be affordable but just an app you have to pay A LOT of money for. The problem isn’t that they’re charging for their work. It’s that it’s so much money at once that it seems wildly unaffordable. I did read that they have programs to help financially but it all doesn’t sit right to me. I think it’s reasonable to assume that a vast majority of people aren’t going to pay $200 a year for an app they just downloaded 7 days ago and don’t even know if their impulses can keep up.

  • How much will this actually cost?

Add my voice to the chorus pointing out how predatory it is to entice those who struggle with organization into an expensive subscription before they can even try out the app... but, more interesting to me, check out the prices mentioned in the older reviews. "It's $40 a year!" ..."I can't believe it's $96 a year!" Right now the price they're offering me is up to $199 a year. If you do subscribe, who knows what higher price it's going to renew at? They can reply all they want about how hard-working their developers are and how terrific this service is, but they're making money by targeting the very audience that's going to struggle to jump through their cancellation hoops (and if the other reviews here are any indication, you'll find that the information behind the subscription is pretty common and easily available for free elsewhere).

  • Really impressed

I am enjoying the content on the app. The speakers and the challenges are good quality. But the thing that impressed me the most, was that the app sent an awesome email prior to the end of the free trial basically stating, “we get that you have ADHD and you’ve probably forgotten to cancel things before you got charged and we want to remind you to do that if you plan to.” I was honestly on the fence about keeping it but I respected their effort to keep me from losing money. I have not been disappointed in my choice. Thanks Inflow for not exploiting the people your app is meant to help

  • Don't be fooled like I was.

Before downloading to try it out there was a pop up stating that if anything happened and I forgot to cancel before the free trial was over, I would be refunded. It said something like, 'We understand having ADHD would make this really hard to remember, so we will refund you if you forget.' -- something to that effect. That is what pushed me into downloading.

Of course I forgot to cancel the trial and it automatically signed me up for a yearlong subscription ($200). I reached out to support and mentioned the pop-up, casually saying thank you for the refund policy. In response the person told me I need to reach out to Apple first to ask for a refund. I'm currently waiting to hear back from Apple. THEN they will refund you only after you have received a no from Apple first.

But here's the point. The company tries to imply upfront that they have a lenient refund policy BECAUSE they help people with ADHD. Instead, they make you go through the process of asking for a refund from Apple, which for someone with ADHD is another obstacle. What a sham! I went through with it because I was so enraged by the deceit but I know many others won't, and that they make money off this. Shameful.

Hi Kat, thanks for reaching out. Apple does not allow us to issue refunds on their behalf, which is the reason you were asked to request a refund from Apple as a first step. This is usually a quick and easy process. If for any reason, you are unable to get a refund from Apple, we will issue you a refund through manual bank transfer. If you would like an update on your refund, please write to the support team at hello@getinflow.io
  • Need longer than a week trial

I definitely wish it were longer than a 1 week trial. It even tells you to try it for 2 weeks. And of course, I can’t remember where exactly it says that-shocker. I haven’t even gotten a full week of use bc I haven’t been able use it everyday. I have two baby boys, 1 and 2 1/2 years old. I don’t have a lot of free time with my phone. A few things I’ve read or learned in the app have been enlightening and helped some. But I can’t do every step of every module AND put everything that I’ve attempted to learn into practice in one week. The usage I’ve gotten has given me just enough to wish I could explore it a little longer but not even close to enough to pay that much for it. There are so many areas I haven’t had a chance to explore yet. I really appreciate what y’all are trying to do. And I understand the price is for the real life coach and all the tools and resources. But I definitely need longer than a week to determine if I want to commit to paying that price. I was really hopeful for this bc Im loosing my mind a little bit lately. 😳

  • False security

I was diagnosed with severe (very severe, I’ve been out of work over a year & am struggling to keep up with medical bills/etc) adhd in addition to my ocd a few weeks ago, so looked for apps to help start healing. I have 3 therapists but none were experts on this, so decided to try the app. It reassured me it would *remind me* before it charged me.

It didn’t. I was charged, wrote them asking what the heck, & was told I have to contact apple. I am currently in a state where that sounds like climbing everest, so I’d rather just let myself be eaten by the debt.

Angry. Predatory app playing off its users’ exact weakness. Cancelled & warning others.

  • Helpful esp since newly diagnosed

I like this app a lot, use it daily, would recommend it and I will keep using it long term. I am very newly diagnosed and needing to learn more. The modules on various topics about coping with Adhd have been helpful to learn more. I also really like the community aspect since I don’t know anyone else with this, and I really like the accountability coach aspect. The whole app is set up in a way that is very adhd-user-friendly. Tech support has been very responsive / helpful. It’s been a huge resource to me, new in my journey / dx, and made me feel much less lost.

  • Informative

What a great resource to help navigate the workings of adhd.

The concise lessons help you to understand hurdles and how to handle them. Being new to all of this, I’m also just learning all of the aspects of my life have been affected by adhd. This education has made me hopeful that I can do less slogging and more living.

Thank you to the developers of the information and software, very well done!
