  • Worse

    Supposed to be the new app but way worse in every way. Old app worked great.
    There obviously was no proper design thinking in this new app development, the layout is horrendous. Old app I could see all the stats on one page, this new app you can only see 1 stat per page, so 12 scrolls to see the full information.

    Please employ some proper design thinking and understand your users before you go and create a new app and force people to use it.

    Hi customer, I'm sorry for the inconvenience caused. The new app is slightly different from the old one as we have integrated more products into it. This has resulted in a different interface from the earlier Renpho app. However, with the new app, users can manage data from different devices on a single platform, making it more convenient for some users. Our APP supports adding shortcuts so that the APP can directly display the measurement page as soon as you open it. You can follow the steps to set it: 1. Open the APP, it should default to the "Home" page of the APP. 2. Tap "Body Fat Scale" listed under "My device", this will take you to the measurement page of the body fat scale. 3. Tap "Settings" 4.   • Disappointing update

    The app no longer tracks your average weight over the lifetime of usage, or highs and lows. It was never able to keep a running graph of daily weight changes, which really should be the whole point (you can graph by week, month, etc, but the data points are only averages, not your daily weight - I mean really, anyone tracking weight loss knows that it’s important to see those numbers, not just averages!). Anyone can build this sort of graph in excel in two minutes, why can’t they do it in the app??

    Your statement that the app automatically displays the highs and lows in a given time period is simply incorrect. Rather, it displays the lowest and highest *average* value from whatever subset a given view uses. For example, the three-month view displayed weekly averages, not daily values.

    I repeat: anyone using this app to track weight loss will be interested in the highs and lows overall, not just averages for arbitrary subsets of data. I have been using the app since June: what’s my low weight - the “number to beat” to be at my lowest point since I started? That data is totally lost with this update.

The app automatically identifies and displays the highest and lowest readings in each period. You can tap any other data point to reveal its precise reading if you want to view other data points. I would like to clarify that if you take only one measurement during a day, our app is designed to display the actual value. However, in scenarios where multiple readings are taken within the same day/month/year, the app calculates and displays the average of all these readings.   • Piece of junk

    The old app is better. This is just a bunch of widgets stuck together without any through thought. Your developer should be embarrassed given that the old app works so well. Do I really need a store to appear all the time, do I really need the community to appear all the time. What I need is my measurements to be tracked all the time! They are not. One day it auto loads, the next it does. One day the measurement scream is there when I open the app, the next day I have to search for it. When I have that happen I get a white box asking to select the measurement, but after I’ve selected it, the only option is to exit and delete which deletes the measurement. So where I have had a measurement almost every day since 2018, now I have missing data. This junk and should never have been released. Unfortunately, I got the scale that uses solar power which forces me to use this app. I’m returning it and going back to battery power so I can use the old! I’m frustrated beyond reason!

    Dear customer, We apologize for the disappointment you have experienced with our new app. We understand your frustration and would like to offer our sincerest apologies. Regarding the issue with data not syncing to the app, please note that our scale can be used in two different ways. Firstly, you can use the scale with the app open which allows for immediate syncing of your measurements. Secondly, if you use the scale without your phone, it can store up to 10 measurements. When you next open the app, turn on Bluetooth and GPS (for Android), wake up the scale, and the stored data will be automatically uploaded to your account. It is important not to remove the batteries or press the reset button before syncing the measurements, as this may cause the data to be lost. If you take measurements without the app being open, the data will be stored on the scale. To sync this data with the app, please step on the scale with one foot to wake it up and connect it with the app. The measurements will then appear on the screen with a pop window, allowing you to choose which data to save. You need to click"Choosing all" and click your username, then the data will be saved. Regarding your feedback on the shop and community features, we will pass this on to our tech team to explore the possibility of implementing these improvements.     New update: company responded very quickly, and the app is now working as it should be. Thank you very much for such a rapid and quick fix and I appreciate having such a good app. Need to be a

    Your latest update of a couple days ago does not login to the Renpho Health app. The old app now still works and I have to use that with my scale. I don’t know what you people are doing. Whatever you did. It’s screwed up the app really good. After multiple tries to update the app and not able to or logging failing every time I will not use this app until it’s been updated properly.   • Absolute rubbish

    This scale is absolute bogus. I have been doing a 23 hour fast and restricting calories for 2 weeks now and exercising like an absolute fiend and it says I gained a pound?! Literally one day it will say I have excellent muscle mass and the next day I have very low muscle mass. It says I have subcutaneous fat that is too high and yet I can visually see a huge difference in my body and it doesn’t show any change. I think this is all a scam. I will not be using this scale anymore and could quite possibly throw it out of my second story window. It does nothing but give random numbers. Honestly, hth could this scale provide accurate insight into anatomy and physiology? I literally hate this thing-it makes me want to quit trying to be healthy.

    Yes, all my settings are correct. I share the scale with my husband, but he has his own app.

  • This app is actually terrible

    When I first got this app, I saw the reviews, and made the mistake of assuming that people were frustrated more with the change of apps than the app itself. I was wrong. This app just throws numbers together. You aren’t able to see accurate trends, because the people who made the app don’t seem to understand how graphs work. The graph will dip and rise, even if your numbers are exactly the same! There’s no way to see the numbers and trends that matter in a readable way, and the numbers they do make it easy to understand, are absolutely useless. Just fundamentally terrible.

    The products are great. The app feels like it was made as a high school sophomore computer science project. It’s bad enough that I wouldn’t even recommend the product to anyone, no matter how good it is.

    I never used the previous app, but bring it back, because there’s no way this one is an improvement.

  • Excellent App

    Great app and scale. I activated the scale open the app and everything connected automatically. It just works.
    If you want your scale setting in the app to open automatically go to settings and select homepage to create an icon on your home screen to click.
    If you want to delete all your data, it takes a week for them to clear it. So you can’t just clear your data and do a fresh start off the cuff. My workaround is just to quit and create a new account with another email. Then you have a whole new data set. This is the only fixed I would recommend them to make is to make a button where you could delete all your data and have a fresh start. Company is very responsive to customer comments.

  • Why mess with it

    My wife and I started a weight-loss journey around four months ago. My daughter insisted that mom and dad needed a new scale to show us all of the things that are wrong with us, lol. After we got it set up, I started using it and was doing OK, collecting four months of data. My wife was very reluctant to be added to the scale, but I convinced her, and she, too was happy with the results. Along comes the new app with a note saying “get the new app because the old app is going away”. Well, I think I’m going away too. It’s just easier to weigh yourself on the dumb scale, then write it on the calendar. You guys have loaded this app up with so much stuff that you just get lost. Nice try but the old app was way better!

  • App will not download - updated

    Update: If you have the problem listed below - reboot/restart your phone and see if it helps. It cleared up my problem. The app is easy to use & to set up. ******************** Original review: I have tried all day to down load this app after getting my new scale & it does not download (just spins and spins). I have an iPhone 14 pro for reference & no other issues with the phone or any other app. Going to have to return the scale if the app doesn’t work - currently it is a just a regular scale without the ability to check any other stats. Wrote to customer service this morning on an email listed from a previous review’s reply - hope they respond.

  • I love data, this app makes me sad

    I loved the old app. I loved the various graphs. I loved the ability to see information over a week, month, and year. I loved that I just opened my app and stood on my scale and the data was just there. It was pure it was perfect.

    The new app taking that away was a bummer to say the least. The really cool part of these devices (for me) is the ability to see fluctuations across various metrics. When you only have 2 data points to compare, you lose so much information You’re inviting outliers you can’t control for, you’re allowing for the data to be scewed. I liked using the data to help make adjustments to my exercise and diet. Now I can’t tell if that change was due to changes in my routine or random fluctuations in my body due to hormones, life events, stress, etc. It’s bad data and it’s tough to use effectively because it’s not statistically reliable or valid when there is SO MUCH DATA that could be presented longitudinally.

    It feels like the really useful, and well put together graphs were replaced with the store. Which is annoying and somewhat transparent. It feels like you’re taking away information to get people to buy more devices to try and fill in the gaps. And maybe that’s a little conspiracy theorist but that’s how it feels.
