This app is sort of beat.

Have attempted to set up malware blocker about 4x. Just takes me on a link loop back to my own email. Trying this on a 2 week trial. App isn't great & is sort of hard to navigate. Seems buggy, although it gets great reviews? My phone is less than a year old & no issues elsewhere.

In addition to that, I was very interested in the data broker removal feature. I've had the app for about a week now. Most of the removals are 'paused', looking for some sort of 'authentication' from me. Yet, the authentication screen is blank. No idea what info I'm supposed to be providing to unpause the removal of my info from data brokers?
Meanwhile, I've managed to get responses from many of these broker sites doing manual data removal requests in the past week. It's annoying & time consuming, but at least it's done. And, let's all be honest-most of us really use apps like this for this exact feature in the 21st. This app, especially considering the price, will be a hard pass from me.

Not Great

As with anything there’s always something for everyone. This app is difficult for me to work with.
The main reason I wanted to try this app was because I get countless calls per day from scammers, telemarketers, and robots that I unknowingly signed up for.
After experiencing most of the 2-week free trial they gave me, I don’t think I will be purchasing anything in the future.
Please note, they do not give you an estimated time span for how long it might take to successfully remove your information from certain companies. At least not that I know of and it’s hard to research it. My information has not been successfully removed from any of the companies they claim have it.
Lastly, there are quite a few requests that have been “paused” and I cannot figure out how to get them unpaused. There is always a text bar that I can write in but no prompt for what needs to be there so no progress gets made on those specific companies.
When I tried contacting Aura’s support team, the “chat” button does not work at all.
I’m very grateful for the free trial experience, but I would not recommend this app if you’re going to use it to request removal.
It seems to work on the other services, as they found a data leak for an account I made seven years ago and had no idea I even had an account with that website.
So at least they’re good at finding leaks, but they don’t seem to be good at removing information from databases.

I feel better with the protection but there is a lot of room to improve

I signed up for this service and it seems to do a lot for the price. But the app can be really annoying and it seems like it should be able to “learn” over time but it doesn’t. I have to clear the same alerts every month (same paycheck every month) and it isn’t just one alert, it generates multiple alerts for the same item - very annoying. And both my husband and I have to each clear the same, multiple alerts instead of one of us being able to clear alerts for the account.

The VPN also occasionally glitches with other apps so I semi-routinely have to turn it off and restart my phone. Apps just won’t load or open at random periods of time. I have a secondary vpn that I often have to switch too until whatever bug is going on seems to clear itself and then I can switch back.

I like the concept, I appreciate having the monitoring in place, but the app makes things frustrating.

Excellent Service, does have a bug every now and then

Excellent easy to use application. Amazing customer service. My only complaint is that it bugs out sometimes and tries to charge me after I already paid for the 1year 144 dollar subscription. I was told it was a bug and they are currently fixing it. I also think a location choosing feature would make an excellent addition to the Application. It has froze on me and stopped working once or twice which had me worried but I spoke to Matt from customer service and he helped me get through the problem and answered every single question politely. I plan on being a long time Aura customer and am excited to see the added features they will be using. 5/5 stars for Service and quality. 5/5 in being easy to navigate. 5/5 stars with the features it offers. I hope that in the future they will make it compatible with more devices. 4/5 stars when it comes to bugs, still bein charged on an old card but was assured they would handle the issue will change it to 5/5 after it is handled. 1000% recommend for anyone who values having Privacy in a world where privacy is non existent

Disappointing - Kid monitoring

I canceled within an hour of signing up. I was looking for an app to replace the Bark app I had to monitor my child’s iPhone/iPad. When I searched and saw this app I was was ready to change right away. With the Celebrity Robert Downy Jr.’s endorsement I thought it should be good.
I downloaded and kept trying to find where to monitor my child’s devices. OooHHHH you now have to purchase the “Family” plan. UGH more money. So it went from $125 a year to $300 (monitors 5 adults and unlimited kids) a year. Um NO, I only have 1 kid I am not paying $300 and thats only what I saw I didn't even upgrade so I don’t know if there are more fees/charges once you upgrade.

I cant get over the cost to even try the kids monitoring and time limits. I only have one child and I have to pay the same that someone can monitor 3, 5, or 10 kids. Because you have to upgrade to Monitor your kids is a disappointment. I thought this was an app to help protects our kids. Going back to Bark.

But found it conflicted with the VPN that comes with my service and I was constantly having to turn one off or on. They also offered a spam phone call service for an extra $5.25 a month and I had signed up for that as well. When I realized that neither were going to work for me I canceled in June. Still got billed July and august for $5.25 spam phone call part. No big deal. I called Aura and spoke with a lady who assured me it had now been canceled. Fast forward to September and I got charged again. Again I call and a man said he can see I’m still being charged and he would escalate the matter to see why, but it will take up to two days to get back to me with an answer! It has been two days. It’s not the money as much as the principal. I’ve been charged three times since originally canceling and I’m still waiting for a call back. UPDATE: was charged again after making NUMEROUS phone calls to cancel. Was assured each time it was done. Was told I would be refunded and never was. Never received a conformation email as promised and was charged again today October 14!!!!

Aura customer service understands me!

I had some questions about the protection by Aura and I was glad to hear that the customer service agent was a North American, regular guy who can relate to me. I am not against speaking with people from beyond the pond, or even in Latin America, however, I have gotten annoyed talking to a gentleman one time from another major company, who spoke English and was obviously, Hispanic, he did not understand me in an English, so I asked him if he spoke Spanish and conducted the rest of my conversation in Spanish with him. I shouldn’t had to do that, but I had to because he just couldn’t understand me an English. I’m glad to see I can speak to a regular American voice who can understand English and can relate to me. He answered all my questions and helped me discover new things about Aura’s services.

Aura you need to bring more better features for the Aura app and you should work with all the other credit bureaus you already work with Experian you should work with Equifax and try to get the credit lot for Equifax. She can lock the other credit bureaus. and you should try to get the credit lock for Trans Union so you can be able to lock your credit score at all the three credit bureaus inside the Aura app. And you should try to get Lifelock your company. You should try to get Lifelock and see what features Lifelock has and then you should implement those features inside out or app so you can know what features that Lifelock has an implement them in the Aura app so you can know what features that Lifelock has. to add your personal data and then you can take those ideas and then go on the Aura app and add those features to the Aura app. And please get a team or they can stutter study other companies that have identity Monitoring and see what features they are using and what features that we need to improve to make our app Aura more better more faster more liable to keep peoples identity protected 100% to make sure no one that stealing your identity and make sure 100% that you are identity is your identity in 100% with the Aura app? and you’re protected 100%
