  • Loving the B9…

    I’ve been using B9 for almost a year now and have had nothing but a positive experience, the cash advances are great being able to take the extra boost. If you need, it has come in handy several times. Customer support team is very quick at responding and getting you the answer that you need if you should have a question in regards to your account.. I get paid two days early. I’ve never had an issue with my direct deposit.. I would recommend B9 as a primary account to anyone, even if you’re not utilizing the casualty as a feature. Do you know how to see your credit score make extra money by referring friends and family. It’s just really an excellent online baking option for all spread the word because they’re great and take them for a try. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed!!!! Jennifer S. - happy loyal customer

    First let me start with I appreciated everything b9 has offered me I struggle paycheck to paycheck and I love how convient it is to borrow and I love the rewards cashback and the fact that if I don’t have my card I’m offered a virtual. I honestly believe this is the best and safest bank to have especially when you are in a bind. I have so much respect for the customer service because they respond and help you until the end with any solutions. I had a charge that was fraud and they immediately handled it simple quick and easy l they are family oriented and you can tell overall good people. I love this bank and forever grateful for the experience and overall time I’ve been with this bank. I would recommend it to friends family co workers especially when you can get half your deposit before your payday it’s amazing .thank you again

  • HORRIBLE BANKING

    DO NOT DOWNLOAD. This app will charge you $10 for just having their app with no features for having a bank u have to wait 24 hours to get support… if you pay $20 for their premium service the support is supposed to be fast and it’s the same… they also claim to give you two atm fees reimbursed but fail to tell you that due to their small business they charge an extra $2.50 of atm fees on top of the merchants fee so you never get anything waived and it’s only two times they give back anything. Disputes take 90 days and they don’t answer for 24 hours so if you miss their response they will just close the service ticket for the dispute and make you resubmit everything even if you already sent it. The card doesn’t work everywhere like it should and when you try to update your account or own information they request similar info over and over and act like what they request isn’t verifiable and cause you to go in loops on resubmission. They’re absolutely useless… it’s frustrating and a way to take money for services they do not fulfill. Worst customer support I’ve ever experienced on a banking system. DO NOT USE!!!

    Admittedly, Truebeachsurfer, this was a tough week all around for everyone because of the CashApp glitch. Our already small team was overwhelmed with a flood of calls and our usual fast response time (avg 1.5 hours for Basic Plan) got similarly crushed which meant response times suffered—even for those with Premium support which, under normal conditions is way faster because those tickets get prioritized (during business hours of course). As for ATM fees, there might be confusion as to how it works. There's a $2.50 charge by B9 for ATM withdrawals. Those charges might show up in your transactions but will, if you're a Premium member, be reversed once the transaction it settled (for the first two ATM withdrawals, that is). For disputes we usually give you 48 hrs to provide all the info, after which we'll still continue to follow up. For any calls to support, make sure you provide the original ticket number that was created rather of starting a new one. Because we have a tremendous amount of tickets created every day we can't always check what was in the old ones (we'll do our best but sometimes it's just no possible). Same thing for updating any information on the accounts.
  • By far the worst

    I just opened this account because initially I wanted to get paid early, now I regret even downloading this app it’s useless, I switched my direct deposit to this bank just recently and after my first deposit i tried adding my temporary card to my virtual apple wallet, no luck. Then I tried uploading the card to cash app to add funds and transfer them to my BoA account. B9 took the funds out of my account and approved the transactions, but was rejected by them through cash app. So I’m out of luck and money because I cannot use my funds at all, and the support team is no help at all, you have to pay $20 just to get someone to answer and resolve your issues quicker. It’s lousy and I hate it

    Really sorry, trenae. I hear your frustration. We're frustated too. CashApp had a 2-day glitch and wouldn't allow any transfers to our customers. Once we figured out what was going on we approved the funds even though it exposed us to possibly losing our shirts (by approving transfers without an ok from CashApp and simply hoping they'd work it out and we'd get paid back). If the issue didn't get resolved for you, let us know and we'll do our best to make it right. In terms of support, we're usually pretty good at getting back same-day (sometimes as fast as an 1.5 hours) but keep in mind we're a small (but mighty) team and when big apps like CashApp glitch out the weight of our customers' frustration comes crashing down on our backs. And yeah, maybe we shouldn't charge extra to jump the line and just make everyone wait their turn but we're all about financial freedom, trenae and if someone wants to spend their hard-earned money on a quicker answer, that's their choice. Hope that clears things up.

    The best part about B9, minus the pay advance you get when you switch your direct deposit over, is the simplicity and how user friendly the app truly is. It’s all spelled out for you, so there is no need to contact support on anything. It allows you to receive cash back from purchasing every day items from your local grocery store, cash back for using your card for ride shares, and best of all, it gives you cash back on using your card to pay at restaurants! So everything you would use your card for gives you the opportunity to gain cash back! So your advance, cash back, your paycheck early! What more could you really ask for? Thanks B9!

  • Game changer!

    This app was meant to be a means to an emergency cash issue. I’m happy to say it has turned into so much more. Not only do I now use it for my direct deposit I use it to monitor all things financial. Payday is two days early and you can’t beat that! The virtual and physical card come in handy. The 5% cash back is an added plus. The more you deposit the more cash advances you can use when you need it. I recommend this app to everyone!!! Very happy customer!

  • The worst

    Said my direct deposit would not go to them if I canceled. Well it did. Customer service did not help. Super rude. They have my whole paycheck and now my regular bank account is over drawn as I did not get my money. They will not reopen my closed account to transfer the money to my account either. I am very disappointed and concerned that they are stealing my money. When I called to speak with someone, Diane, she was nicer but not very reassuring. Karen, that I contacted through email was awful and very rude. No empathy at all that i have no access to my money. My money that they said they wouldn’t take. Do yourself a favor and do not download this app. Fingers crossed I receive my paycheck back because they took the whole thing.

    Yikes, ndbbjen! Really sorry you feel like you're getting the run-around. That's not our culture and it's the last thing we'd want you to experience. Rest assured, your complaints have been duly noted and I've personally run them up the CS flagpole. In terms of the process. Unfortunately, it typically takes 1-2 payment cycles for your deposit information to be updated. And that's even if you've disconnected your payroll. Why? Because your deposit might still hit your now closed account if your employer inadvertently sent the funds to us. This happens a lot more than you can imagine. And it's why we always advise our customers to check with their employers to make sure that no deposit gets sent to us after they've closed their B9 account. Rest assured, your money doesn't disappear. It's just is made to jump through the bureaucratic hoops the banking system's famous for. It's as frustrating for us as it is for you. Not sure if that helps but at least you can understand what the hold up is. Let us know if your issue's been resolved at support@bnine.com.

    At first I was like they re just like everyone else but they really give you a overdraft I thought it was you will get your entire checkbook front so that’s the only misleading part where as I thought you will get your check and able to access your next check amount but it’s not way still so great to be able to take a extra $400 if you really need it and they’re answer your by email but usually really fast.

  • SCAM AND DECEITFUL

    Nothing they claim in their about info is true. Apparently you’re only allowed to transfer money into your account 1 time or up to $20 every 7 days. I just tried to transfer money into my account via card and it blocked me stating I had exceeded my limit for transfers for the week. In the last 7 days I’ve literally made ONE transfer for $20 into the account and no transfers OUT of the account. And if you want customer service to respond to any issues, you gotta pay $4 for 3 days of them responding to you “within an hour” otherwise its “within 24 hours”… and to get the advance you have to pay their monthly AND get your direct deposit moved to them because they won’t go off your current deposit history like every other advance app, nor will they accept it even if you connect directly to your employer/depositor. This whole app and institution is a sham and a scam.

    Out of curiousity, Lisa, which "About" did you read because the only one we currently have is in our FAQ section. And if that's what you read then what part of it do feel isn't true? Re what you're allowed to transfer, it's pretty much a banking rule (and we work through a big one, Evolve Bank & Trust). Bank transfer limits are set by the bank or financial institution and can vary depending on various factors but mainly they're about preventing fraud. Does that mean we think you're a fraudster? Of course not! Everyone has to abide by these rules. We hope you understand. In terms of Customer Service response. The truth is we get back to most everybody (on average) within 1.5 hours but those who want an even faster response time are usually willing to pay a little extra. That's not unsual. Re the advance. It's true, you do have to pay a monthly fee ($10 on the low end $20 on the high) in order to get an advance but keep in mind that that advance comes with NO INTEREST! Zip. Nada. 0% APR. While our competitors charge ludicrous amounts (some over 300%!). The subscription model is the one we felt worked best but clearly it's not for everyone. And the ONLY way that any of this works is if you direct deposit a minimum of $300 every pay period (or every two weeks) with us and that you pay back the advance we give you in the time designated. We don't look at your credit history or your deposit history. We only ask that you create a rock-solid history of trust with us. Once shown to be solid (usually within a few months), the advances quickly get bigger.
  • This app has some major issues

    First, customer support is very slow considering that they are dealing with other people’s money. On top of that they charge you for “premium support” and will answer you within an hour?…which I’ve also tried…and isn’t true.
    Second, I’ve had two issues with sending money to an external account/card. First attempt I made was to a card attached to Capital One. They tell me I have to call my bank to have them grant some type of permission to allow external transfers? Never had this issue with any other app and never knew that was a thing. My second attempt which I’m dealing with now, I decided to add another card this time from a credit union. I use the instant transfer which they charge a percentage depending on what amount you transfer which is pretty standard. The crazy thing is it says it transfer within minutes and I’m still waiting for my money after 9 hrs and counting. I attempted to reach out to their trusted customer support team once again and no response yet. How am I supposed to use this service and can’t even get access to my money when I need it??
    So for what it’s worth, yes you can get a nice cash advance if you link your payroll provider but it seems they plan on trapping you into just using the money from their app and will charge you extra fees for services they say they provide but don’t actually.

Regarding Premium customer support - well, it's definitely faster but like everyone else, we have set hours which are 6am to 9pm PST during which we're available by phone, (888) 297-5504, or email, support@bnine.com. In terms of your transfer to Capital One, it's possible that your external card doesn't have its Push feature enabled, which means that your Capital One card won't allow funds to be sent to it. Reach out to us so we can help you get to the bottom of it.
