  • Great App!

Ok, this app rocks! We all know how tough it to make ends meet, and feel like we can never catch a break. But with B9, it's a whole different story. First things first, you can get paid up to 15 days early! Yeah, you heard that right. No more waiting for someone else's payroll system to catch up. YOU EARNED IT, YOU GET IT RIGHT AWAY! Plus, with the B9 Advance feature you can take out up to $500 to cushion those tough times. And the more you make on-time payments, the bigger advances you can qualify for.
They also have debit card that offers 5% cashback on everyday purchases. Couldn’t find anyone else doing that. That cashback adds up real quick too. B9 also has stuff to help you manage your money like free credit checks and for tax season, synchronization with the april tax app. Like any money app, B9 does have you jump through some hoops to get set up. They do an ID check with either your SSN or ITI card. But NO BACKGROUND CHECK so don’t worry! Once you’re confirmed you can take out the advance amount you need and use your B9 Visa debit card. And with no transfer fees, you can send money to your peeps whenever you need to. Definitely useful. Thank you B9.

Hey, Leezet4. Thank YOU so much! We really do work hard to make sure our customers get the best service possible—especially with things like early paycheck advances. Comments like yours validate all that hard work and we really do appreciate it. 🙏
  • Great Application!!!

I like B9 bank app very much. I work hard and B9 know it. I get money in advance if I need to so don't have to wait for payday. Also 5% cash back when I use B9 debit card, which no other bank app offer! It easy to use! All I have to do was switch my direct deposit and start using the app right away. And no to worry about transfer fees when I send money to family. Overall, I think B9 is best bank app for people like me. Thank you B9!

  • DO NOT DO IT

They want you to deposit 80% of your paychecks into the B9 account and you can’t get an advance until after your first deposit that makes no since the people using this app needs money now not when they get paid then you have to pay all these fees just to get a $30 advance I’ve had them for less then a hour before I logged back my job site and changed my deposit back to my normal account come to fine out they wanted $1500 of my check to go to the B9 account I think not yall don’t do it it’s not worth it I will ask you to go read the reviews before doing anything and not the 5 stars witch I think is paid for read the real ones

Hey, blackopsdj76. Not sure where you're getting the whole, "80% of your paycheck must be deposited" idea from. Certainly not us! The minimum amount needing to be deposited with us in order to get a B9 Advance is $300 (within the last 14 days). Yes, your initial advance may not seem like much but try looking at it from our perspective—we need to see a history of deposits before we can trust a client enough to give them an advance (because, unlike other Fintechs, we're not charging any interest on it). Then—also over time—we need to see that you'll pay your advances back. The first advance starts small but then gets larger as both the consistency of your deposits and the timeliness of your repayments is proven. To get that very first advance all you have to do is make your first deposit. You'll be charged our $10 monthly fee 30 days after your account has been created.
  • This place is very horrible

First let me say this I don’t leave reviews, But this place is the worst every from the app to the customer service and management , let me start by saying that I needed some cash this weekend I said I will try and get a early pay advance from one of my pay check from my part time job , first I got the app then register ok now mind you they wanted your ADP ok find what they did was because because both of my jobs are with ADP they taken the biggest Amount from my other job that I did not give them and I did not set it for direct deposit with that job to make a long story short they lied to me about setting up direct deposit and then I ask repeatedly is direct deposit set up they said no I told them to cancel this app they did and I get a email from ADP saying your direct deposit is set up I call and got a CSR that was rude and then I call back got another one that lied and I call back and gotten somebody I ask for a manager he got smart and he had the nerve to talk to me in the most indignant way like I was not smart told me in case you don’t understand like because I am black I guess he feel I was not educated I let him know I am very well educated and I will write a review on how this place is I do not recommend this place to no one but I take that back I don’t recommend this place to no one people that have a lot to lose in this place they are scammers and the most disrespectful people ever thank you so much manager for not helping Mr smart

Oh my, Chi. Truly sorry you had a bad experience with us. We do our best to monitor all aspects of our business (including customer service, of course) and sometimes it doesn't turn out like we want. If you recall who it was you spoke with we'll do our best to get to the bottom of it. In terms of your direct deposit, yes we work with ADP. A tremendous amount of direct deposits to us are done through them. But keep in mind, we can't set up that connection without *your* expressed written consent. You said that money was deposited to us from the wrong ADP account (the one with the "biggest amount"). But we don't get to choose which account to draw money from—you do. If that direct deposit was made in error then we'll of course close off the account. But like everything in finance, we need to make sure it's done correctly! Check with your employer and make sure they know to turn off whichever account you don't want B9 drawing from. It's as simple as that. Please reach out to us at support@bnine.com and we'll make sure you're taken care of.
  • B9

This application has not been good for me because it takes more of my monthly social security disability than they are supposed so that I have to get a $ advance and end up owing them more money, and any money that comes my way gets eaten up my this application which works more against you than for you, and it is also hard to get a hold of someone in customer service to resolve any necessary issues that you will experience when you are getting used by this application. Usually a person uses an application, but not in this case. Please avoid using this application and save yourself the hassle

Hi, Dennis. We can't actually "take" anything you don't directly deposit with us. In terms of owing us money, that's only if you end up taking out an advance (which we don't charge any interest on). Regarding our customer service, we have phone support. Call (888) 297-5504 M-F 6am to 6pm PST excluding bank holidays and we're quite proud of our 1.5-hour avg response-time. Please reach out to us at support@bnine.com to see if we can resolve your issue.
  • Bad customer support service

Their customer service is very bad and this bank has no facilities. The commitment they made to the customer when we opened the account is not the same as their commitment after opening the account. This bank does not have any plaid connection system. Very bad very bad customer service. I am not at all happy to be a customer of the bank..they don’t have any supervisor .I call 4/5 times for ask questions about advanced payment.. how to they calculate advance payment? Customer service representative said it’s totally depends on syestem . I deposit 2900 within month They show give me 24% Which is supposed to be $696 They give me $135 and if I pay $9.99 more I will get $160 What is that ? No benefits Don’t open any account with them
Please don’t open any account with them
They took my $700 from my account and now I’m broke ..App Store cancel this app please

Hi, ParthO. I think there may be a fundamental missunderstanding about how we operate. Yes, we do give advances that go up incrementally with consistency of deposits and paying back of advances on our customers' part. If we give bigger advances we take greater risks which is why we charge about ten bucks more a month for customers being able to pull even higher amounts. In terms of how we calculate those payments, like the the person you spoke to said, there's no simple calcuatlion because a lot of factors do go into it ( I'm not being purposely vague, the system basically runs a risk assesment). In terms of our not having any facilities... yes, and no. We are after all a fintech company. And because we are, we save our over 400,000 customers lots of overhead fees that most banks charge. What we do have is a worldwide network of dedicated professionals doing their level best to give you a great product and service experience. We don't always get it right but we do own our mistakes and try to fix them asap. You say that there are "no benefits" to our product. We do, however, offer things like $500 cash advances, 15-day early paychecks, and 5% cashback. Lots of people find them pretty beneficial.
  • Correction to not great review previously left

Although it did take an extra day to receive my direct deposit (day sooner with Chime) I did get it and was pleasantly surprised that my starting cash advance limit was $45. Many of the other cash advance aps (including chime) start out VERY low (I.e. $10-$20) even if have over $1,500 direct deposits by weekly.

  • Caution Deceptive Predatory Lender

I established a B9 account with the promises of establishing a credit history and increasing loans up to the full amount of my paycheck, early pay day. Sounds neat and super convenient. Noooo. They will star you at like 10 dollars then go get a few months move you up to almost 50. You’ll receive an offer for a large advance next time. Congratulations you’ve unlocked a 500 payday the emails say. Mind you I’ve made perfect payments on the exact same day every month, good payment history the free world calls it. Right after paying my advance I notice there’s zero history or credit showing. B9 claims something that doesn’t pass tue common sense test about an extra day or something stupid and bam whole history and credit erased. Didn’t happen. Thank you David at customer service for explaining B9 can and does change its criteria regularly and with no open disclosures. They offer no interest a cash back system that has useless categories making it a waste of time. Don’t bother with them it’s all designed to chafer you fee’s for everything even to see your own money. YOU’VE BEEN WARNED! I’m moving to a real bank!

Hello, we are sorry to hear that! We are a payroll solution, not a financial company. If you are looking for an instant personal loan, we encourage you to look at your local bank or financial institution. Many of our members see their advance limit grow, and they get elected to cash out more of their next paycheck within 30 days. We look at many factors, including your employment history, transactional history with B9, and your recurring direct deposit. All our fees are displayed in the app and the Account Agreement. We charge a monthly plan of $9.99 and also offer a premium monthly plan for $19.99 (or $47 for three months, which makes it $16/m). The Premium plan includes more perks and features and credit monitoring tools. Many of our members experience a higher advance limit with the Premium plan, but it's not guaranteed as it depends on many factors, including the duration of your Account with B9. Want to know about a life hack? When you use your B9 Visa® Card to make a day-to-day purchase, we pay you a cashback of up to 5% (please check eligible categories), which may pay off your monthly fee. So you can make your B9 app free for you. We also offer free bank transfers so that you can send money to and from B9 Account via ACH free. And yes, we charge a fee of 2% for instant or turbo withdrawals for the convenience of getting your money from B9 to any other wallet, like Cash App, in minutes. However, B9 does not charge mandatory Instant or Turbo fees for crediting our Advance in your B9 Account. Don't hesitate to contact our support via an in-app chat or support@bnine.com and talk to us! We would love to improve your experience with B9.
  • DO NOT BE FOOLED TO GET THIS APP!!!

Please y’all I beg of y’all don’t fall for the tricks I fell for. I let a tough time convince me to get this app and it was the worst move in the history of ever. They have no intention but to rob u of most of your money. Customer service is the worst ever. They won’t do anything but show u the hidden fees and stuff that they don’t talk about which is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!! I paid for service I never received and customer service laughed when I asked for a refund. I would never want anyone to experience what I did. “Cecilia” seems like the only person on customer service always and has the smartest mouth ever so I’m guessing she runs the app and enjoys stealing from people in need. PLEASE don’t make the same mistake I did. It’ll leave u worst off

  • Hidden Fees - Misleading - Lawyering Up

I’ve reviewed a lot of fin tech, banking apps and this is by far the most misleading app I have encountered. I’m in the process of submitting formal complaints to Apple that it should be removed from their store as well as legal remedies to recoup the hidden fees that were stolen from me during my test run using the app. If you don’t read to page 26 of the customer agreement you’ll never have a clue that very common banking transactions are charged fees. Transfer money in/out with Cash App? You’ll be charged a fee. I’ve never seen an app fail to mention this either up front, or during the transaction itself. Customer service reps are clearly non-US based, and in one interaction I had the rep was not even able to look at 3 months of banking activity and identify the deposits. Seriously! The app gives you your B9 score, using a tracker that is supposed to show your past advances, whether they were repaid, and give you an idea of how to increase your future advances. The tracker broke after one advance and all my info was reset to zero. After having the app for 3 months, with 3 months of payroll deposits, I pay $10 a month for the service, and I’m not eligible for any advances. No one could ever explain that. I have a long list of things wrong with this app that will be part of my complaint to Apple and legal remedies. Bottom line: this is a dishonest app not worth anyone’s time.
