After extensive use, mapping out thousands of locations for dozens of countries, these are my thoughts:
I was so disappointed that maps.me turned into such a money grabbing mess. Google maps tracks too much data and their walking paths don’t work well. Totally frustrated, and in need of a robust offline map app as I travel extensively, I came across a reddit post about Organic Maps. Really glad this exists, and will be pleased to recommend it to everyone. It does however have a few issues.
One big downside is that it uses a data source which is very incomplete. When I try to bookmark locations on organic maps, less than half of them can be found. Whereas on google maps, almost all of the locations can be found. It is missing massive amounts of locations, and some are very large/well known, and on google maps they are easy to find and have thousands of reviews so they are definitely key locations. Not sure how this can be solved.
That said, its a clean, user friendly UI that is responsive and intuitive. It may be missing satellite imagery but that feature can sometimes make the map hard to read.
Its high rating is definitely justified.Show lessGraysdir

Do you mean to see bookmark titles on the map? We’ll implement it. If you want to rename the bookmark name, then select it, drag the bottom panel up, and press Edit Bookmark.Love it!

Appreciate all the efforts to make an app free and useful for those who doesn’t have the money to pay a lot for a super app maps but the essential to take a look on digital maps to have an idea where they are or where there can go in an emergency situation for Apple users which is hard to find.Show lessJoseC Napoles
Accurate, Efficient, On- & Off-Line
Excellent crowd-sourced app. So much detail you'd never find in any other map: park benches, water fountains, public restrooms, bike racks, pet-waste bag dispensers, ... It's amazing. And it works offline with no data usage after downloading the map via wifi. Love everything about it.-odjbo-
Mapping Utopia!
Fast rendering of vector based data with little to no lag. Download entire states, counties, etc. Never get lost. Rarely ever use Apple Maps or Google Maps now. Donate to their open source project from their web site.adventure_tense

This app is great works CarPlay and it does not need to have internet connection if you download the maps. No matter where you are even if there is no service you can pull up directions to go anywhere. I recently used this app on a long trip and I would give it 10 stars if possible. …within days of discovering it an update was issued which removed the functionality I had long sought. Would it be possible to restore the minor utility/service tracks as an optional overlay? They were extremely useful. Some of them disappeared entirely. Otherwise, a superb and comprehensive app that I will certainly use with frequency. Cheers!Show lessadamhome
