  • Hiking and driving

It is by far the best offline map for hiking as trails are marked spot on. Turn by turn navigation for driving a car works pretty good too. This is definitely the number 1 offline map app. Simple, good battery use and works seamlessly in airplane mode.

Thank you, we completely agree with you ;-)
  • Amazing Offline Maps

Organic Maps is the best map application there is. It uses extremely accurate data from the OpenStreetMap community. It has turn by turn voice navigation that supports walking, cycling, driving, and public transportation networks in various regions. The driving time estimates are accurate thanks to speed limit data. There is also offline Wikipedia data for some POI making it easy to plan a trip with no cellular service.

Thank you! There’s a lot of improvement still, especially regarding a missing address data that can be added into OpenStreetMap.org. With your support we’ll make the best maps app!
  • Love updates

Every update is a serotonin boost because not only are there more cool features and bug fixes but also map data gets updated and I get to use what I've been contributing to OSM the past month

    Developer Response

You can also add or edit some point features too!
  • Relieved to discover this app

I’m delighted to discover this map app after MapsMe went so badly wrong. I made sure that my bookmark lists were exported first and opened them in this app, then deleted MapsMe.
    The maps looks sharper.
One thing I don’t understand though…why do UK maps include British Indian Ocean Territory? It’s not like you can get a ferry crossing - it’s on the other side of the globe!

  • Great privacy-respecting app

I love this app! I’ve had to do a lot of traveling this year and it’s great having all the maps pre-downloaded for where I’m going. If there are any parts of the map that are outdated, I like to go ahead to OpenStreetMap and update the data, and see it reflected in the new version. It’s my favorite OSM app on iOS.

My only gripe is that it may take a while to see the newest OSM changes.

  • Amazing for Hiking.

I use this all the time while out hiking. Having high quality offline maps while out on the trail is amazing. I also use it while out cycling too but not so much for navigation but for knowing what’s near by for stops in spotty service areas. Another use case is road tripping in areas where service is bad cell service like in the mountains and most of rural Canada. Love the app!

  • Free app - free maps & works offline

Not for profit FOSS (free open source software) written and maintained by the community that renders OSM - a free community created and maintained global map (cf Wikipedia - knowledge shared by the community). Needs no mobile network internet connection to function. It is ideal to avoid extortionate roaming data network charges when travelling abroad. It keeps working where there is no network coverage in remote areas when hiking. OSM shows routes like footpaths commercial operators ignore because they cannot “monetise” them from advertisers. App does not yet import gpx tracks but, with support, the community will keep making it better. Peerless free offline mapping on portable Apple devices.

GPX support is coming soon! Thank you very much for your donations and support!
  • Glad to be back

I hadn’t realised that the original App had changed ownership and so pleased to come back to the ‘original and best’… it does what it needs to and no more (in the best way!)

Wish I could import routes with multiple stops though…

    Keep up the good work.

    Developer Response

How are you creating these routes? In which format? Can you please create a detailed issue on our Github, or send us a detailed email?
  • Amazing app

Love the simplicity ! What maps should be !

    Developer Response

Thank you! We love it too!
  • Absolutely top mapping solution.

OSM data is starting to get better than OS mapping data now. This app does an absolute perfect job of using it and making it accessible without the privacy and data sharing concerns of other systems.
