Needs attention

Awful app, brings you to a website instead of doing the whole check in process in the app. Buggy too and complicated and doesn’t feed the mobile boarding pass at the end

Bad UX/UI/product design

Never have i ever had so many pain points within in a flight app. You’d think being a Brit airlines it would have a fancy and user friendly app. The absence of a bottom nav on MOBILE is appalling! Instead you guys cram everything in a hamburger menu to the right, and When you open that side sheet, there are a million CTA options for user to comb through, like more than 10 options there. Just to find the flight status takes TOO MANY clicks, confusing UI layout. Too many accordions for flights while it could easily be grouped in segmented buttons or tabs. Dev and designer didn’t take edge case to consideration. When i clicked “collect the ticket on mobile” there should be tooltip or modal (dialog) that appears and let users know that the tickets have been saved to their apps. Because you didn’t create flow to let me know that the tickets are saved to my app, i ended thinking it didnt get saved yet and keep scrolling and clicking all around -> waste of my time. Awful, makes Air Canada look like a private jet

Broken app, broken website, takes your money and then tells you that you’ve been idle and kicks you out 15 seconds after making the payment

You try to choose a seat and the site tells you to enable cookies (who the hell is disabling cookies)

Then you try again and the system doesn’t give you the option anymore

Absolutely awful airline, carrier, will never fly with British airways again because their tech infrastructure is god awful - if Air Canada outclasses you at something you know you’re doing something wrong

“Something went wrong”

If BA set out to write an app that mostly says “something went wrong” (it has stopped saying sorry, presumably having decided it’s all my fault anyway) they did a stellar job. If they had higher aspirations, they failed miserably. When it once in a blue moon *can* show information on your flight, it’s always the last to know. If you are optimistic enough to use it to check in, make sure to save your boarding pass to your apple wallet, expecting to be able to pull it up on demand would be sensationally naive. App doesn't’ work on VPNs (or from foreign network it seems like) because what traveller using open (airport) wifi’s would possibly need a VPN. That said, neither does their web site so they’re consistently useless. I just hope they fly better than they do apps.

Update: jury's out on whether the brokenness is actually VPN triggered or the app is just *shockingly unreliable,* it's now been ages since I've been able to see my account in the app. This works in a web browser which is a positive surprise.

Update2: Going off app, which is still required for practically anything useful, appears BA wants us to set up two-factor authentication. To the tune of offering "configure now," which presumably does what it says on the tin, and "remind me later" which just starts the process immediately, not what it said on the tin.

Worst app I have used

Bad site.

Can’t change seats. Keeps flipping AA site. Can’t show seat map.

Difficult App

The App is very glitchy, and quite frequently does not work. I can’t change my seat ever, it just puts me in this loop. I can’t manage my booking without it crashing. For a major airline I expected a better app.

awkward to get 2 boarding passes

When you are in the app it doesn’t allow you to download 2 boarding passes together even when both are on a booking and you end up in a forever loop

Horrible app

Got locked out of the app when trying to reset my password, followed all the steps and got stuck in a death loop redoing the same step over and over and facing the same error, very annoying and unprofessional from a big airline like this

Only one boarding pass

I travel with my daughter and the app was only able to give me my boarding pass to save in Wallet.
