Reviews of PNC Mobile Banking

Worst banking app I have

I don’t know why I just haven’t closed my account with PNC. I’ve been with them almost 2 years due to a job I had that offered a type of promo if I were to sign up for an account & get direct deposit.
They have crazy overdraft fees, I recently didn’t move money around fast enough & was not even over a dollar, literally was some change, & still got the fee. Which that is more on the bank & not the app. So things I don’t like about the app, as I said, I have several accounts with different banks & credit unions. PNC every single night does “maintenance” on their app, for hours, & in that time you cannot do anything with your account. Example, lock & unlock your card. Which has been a huge inconvenience for me several times. I’ve managed to get ahold of someone in the after hours via telephone & they couldn’t help me which seemed bizarre. Back to the app issues, they also don’t have any way to display your card details. Anytime I can’t use Apple Pay & need to use my card, that’s a huge inconvenience to most of the time to retrieve my card. I don’t understand why they don’t just display your card details on the app. No where else does that. Last thing, several times logging in, even after changing my password more than once, I’ve logged in & I was met with a notification that my information appeared in a data leak. how many times is that going to happen ?

Profits over people

Give your money to a bank that actually cares about you, their employees, and the communities they serve. Its evident that the high pressure sales culture within pnc starts at the top and permeates throughout its leadership as they force employees to sell sell sell to keep their jobs and their livelihood. Pnc has no regard for the customers wellbeing or their employees wellbeing. Their products are not designed to help you succeed, their products are designed to extract fees from you around corner, they know how to squeeze you especially when you need their help the most. They post my debits immediately but then they want to charge me extra to access my paycheck. They want to limit how many beneficiaries I have on my account. They can’t seem to find all of my accounts I have with them unless I bring them each of my account numbers. I can’t redeem my credit card points on the app. I have to have multiple online banking sign on credentials in order to see my accounts. The app is down so often, it once took me 3 weeks to make a transfer. These are things that every other major bank offers… for free. Soon they will start charging me for walking into one of their empty branches. Pnc is the perfect example of a company that could do good for their customers, their employees and the communities they operate in, but instead they choose profits.

A Great Bank

As somebody me who has been with PNC for three years now I actually cannot recommend a better bank. Before being a PNC customer I was with Wells Fargo and Regions. Wells Fargo was just a horrendous banking experience money would come missing from my account and people who know Wells Fargo knows where it went won’t say anything myself. Regions was a significantly better banking experience but they just had a lot of trouble detecting fraud transactions but did great as far as fixing them Regions was a great upgrade to Wells Fargo and I believe a lot of other bank branches. PNC though just knows how to knock it out of the park they have been nothing short of great. Money is always accounted for and are great at detecting and confirming fraud and having mobile banking makes it even better easy to deposit checks though the app and having ability to unlock and lock card through app makes it nothing short of amazing.
