They Will Not Help You If You’re Wronged

I had tried this app for awhile but it’s not worth it for my lifestyle. It travel very often and sometimes suddenly. If I book a stay and have to leave earlier hotels often are not willing to issue refunds and Booking won’t do anything to assist except call on your behalf to ask.

I booked a stay in Virginia, my flight got delayed and I was stuck in a different state for 2 days outside of my control. I contacted the hotel and was told everything would be fine. 2 days later they still cancelled my reservation and listed me as a no-show. I argued with both the hotel and Booking because Booming had told me they contacted the hotel and WAS able to have the dates of my stay changed, this was apparently A COMPLETE LIE! My $600 reservation was taken and even after Booking informed me to just dispute the charge with my bank they went back weeks later and had my bank reverse the charges again. No one at Booking is going to be held liable for lying to me, the hotel staff in Virginia is an absolute slime ball with policies that shouldn’t even be advertised on Booking’s site and I’m out $600 with no form of reconciliation between either of these parties. Destined to fail assuredly!!!

If your plans have any likelihood of changing I’d highly recommend you skip booking through this. Customer service isn’t even based in the same country as me so why would they care about what American values in business should look like.

Tiggywinkle is perfect

Highly recommend staying here with or without pets. Well equipped beautiful lodge right near the water and main building. Everything you need is on the lodge such as iron, ironing board, hoover, hairdryer, etc etc plus there is an on-site laundrette. Owner provided handwash, fly spray, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets etc etc plus a lovely welcome bottle of rose with a little welcome note which was a lovely touch. Definitely worth seeing what is in the lodge before buying any toiletries when doing your initial shop. Our boys spent most mornings in the indoor pool. Everything you need in the lodge, on-site or a short work away. Easy access to different areas on foot, by car or by bus. Asda shop delivery facility was a lovely surprise which saved us a lot of time. Owners of our lodge were really helpful and friendly as was their Housekeeper who we met when we arrived on-site early and had a walk around the site. She was the one who told us about Asda delivering 😊. We didn’t go to the evening entertainment but there was bingo, singers and comedy acts. Probably more than that but we chose to be out and about during the day and to rest/fall asleep watching TV in the evening. Lots of family games provided in the lodge as well as Wi-Fi. Staff onsite were all really friendly and helpful.

Booking applying scam to the customers

Over the years they become worst and worst, now they acting as scam company. You made a booking that state pay at the property no payment need it. For ex $300 then this price start increase on daily bases until your check won’t on the property. Which means the price of the date of your booking won’t be the same that you will pay when you do check in at the property. But they don’t tell you that they don’t mention anything about that anywhere on the app or website. Be aware this is the new standard practice of the Bookings app I just know that because a make plan with my budget for 4 hotels I paid 2 and other I chose to pay at the property. Then 2 weeks after the price rise about 15% compared to the price when a booked. BE AWARE THEY APPLYING SCAM. And after the booking I was looking to make the full payment, unfortunately booking app does not give you option to procede with the payment. I just using this app now to find the property and then contact the property direct. Not using this app anymore I was customer after 10 years good buy Bookings.

11/10 experience

This was an 11/10 Airbnb experience. Check in was easy. We were met at the property as arranged and shown around. It is a spacious house with plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms and separate living rooms. The kitchen is well equipped. The location right on the lake is amazing. Fabulous to be able to jump of the pier into the lake! Bellano is a fantastic place to stay….its a little bit away from the crowds of Verrena but close enough to get there when you want to and leave when you’ve had enough. There are plenty of ferries and it’s only one train stop from Verrena. It’s a quick 10 mins walk into the town of Bellano where there are some great bars and restaurants (top one being Truth). A truly amazing experience.

Excellent but for the Check-in

This hotel’s location is perfect. Right in the middle of Osaka and within walking distance of Dotonbori, the trains, and buses to everywhere you’d need to go. The room was perfectly clean and comfortable and there is an electric scooter rental spot right outside the lobby if you need to get somewhere without walking much.

The only reason I am not giving it the full five stars is their ridiculous check-in procedure/ policy. They have people waiting in the lobby every day until it is exactly 15:00 to check them in, regardless of whether their rooms are ready or not. The front desk employees are standing idly behind the front desk cracking jokes while waiting for the exact time. So of course, at 15:00 there is a long line of people trying to check-in at the same time and the hotel employees are running around like headless chickens even with self-check-in machines right there in the lobby… they will not allow guests to check-in not even 5 minutes before 15:00. It’s beyond ridiculous. No reason you should have guests in a terrible mood before even getting to their rooms.

Filthy rooms

We checked in and went to our room. They had just finished cleaning it and we noticed there weren’t any towels or washcloths. We went back out right away and asked the cleaning people for some. They said we had to go to the front desk and couldn’t have any off of their cart. So we did! The room was filthy. Sticky everywhere and crumbs and dirt behind the nightstand. The breakfast buffet didn’t have any big plates for waffles. They had labels on the ceiling for multiple items that were not there. One employee was doing the work of front desk and breakfast buffet. Krishna was doing an excellent job of trying to do multiple tasks. He said several employees had called in ! I told him I felt bad for him. Multiple people were complaining how dirty their rooms were ! One gentleman said the health department should shut the place down! Apparently it’s under new management. We even had a brownish red substance on the side of the bathtub that I don’t even want to know what it was. One lady complained about hair on the ceiling in the bathroom. Multiple people were complaining in the elevator and in the breakfast area!! I would not recommend staying here. Also at 4 pm on a Friday afternoon the cops were chasing someone through their parking lot and 9 other police cars showed up, it was a live episode of COPS right before our eyes. Glad our Uber arrived shortly after and we got out of there!!

Do not book with them!

I booked a hotel room and prepaid for it but when I arrived at the hotel they told me it was overbooked and they didn’t have any rooms left. I had to find out last minute as I was trying to check in. Why wasn’t I notified before hand? Since I was already running late for a festival I was going to I had to quickly book a different hotel which was farther from the venue and it was a bad hotel that cost more. I ended up missing most of the festival I was going to due to this inconvenience. Monday morning I called booking to see if they would make things better, I did get refunded for the room I didn’t stay at but I feel they should've done better for me having such a bad experience. They should’ve reimbursed me for my other room. somehow the customer service rep made me feel worse after speaking with him. After I expressed how unsatisfied I was with their services he advised me to write an email to customer service and they would work on reimbursing me. So I did with no response back. I decided to call back and now they are saying they cannot do anything else for me. They do not care about their customers. And the customer service reps are very rude people that make you feel like you somehow caused the issue. I would not trust this website for anything. They are a bad business.

This is an absolute joke - scam big time

So everyone that is using this one should be very very careful !!! I was using it for renting a car and it become a nightmare . They booked me a car and I was paying full insurance! Then after I went to the car place I was told that it is not covering anything. Every scratch will be 1000 euro ! So I got so mad that I called to cancel this and booking told me that it is not possible because it is not possible and I have to pay for half of the booking without used the service . So I had to cancel my “full “ insurance and end up paying 190 euro instead of 30 !!!! So my booking went from 180 to 400 euro . So this scam happened to my friend the day before that but in different scenario. Just because they are married couple and don’t have both credit card the car company did not work with them and they and up lost half of the money they paid 4 months ago in full ?! Is this crazy joke here with booking . When you use the booking you like to pay and annoy your vacation. Here you pay and then - good luck save money . They will make sure you will have such a miserable time and end up paying double to what they promise . So this is first and of course last time using Booking for anything then go to restroom and think about their service ! Absolute stupid place to do business .

Hidden gemm

We love initally the property to respect the nature pr the place, not just talking about the beutiful tree that you can find in the middle in the environment, but the charming of an old biilding that was cozy enough to keep u away from the Paris crowded noise. I can imagine the owner of this property sitying in his vineyar in the countryside wondering why others competitors offers such a fulish view of one of the most beautiful cities on the world!! After spending 20day in whole Europe 7days in France and bouncing around Germany, Austria, Chezia Rep among others, we have found nothing like this for such a ridiculous price! I paid a family room for 200Euros in a Hotel in Brussels that has charged me for using the security box! This hotel has all the amenities and facilities of a 4 star and this demonstrates that the small details really counts! Is a shame we found it at the end, the first ‘room’ we found we paid more and we have not close of this by any means. If you’d like move away from big brands and wanna test France with good taste, suggest this small corner!!

Nice and friendly

Very beautiful place ,nice ,clean and friendly.
Very good food and the restaurant very nice ,staff is very professional and friendly.
Kids friendly place only thing I didn’t like is the stairs from the room was dangerous for my little one 2Y and 6 months and this are the family room unfortunately,the upstairs room with bed is very dangerous for kids who love to look down….i was really stressed with 2 kids who love to go up and down to the stairs and look down all the time 🥹,in rest is very beautiful place where I love to come back if I can get a room with 2 beds for family not 2 rooms .
