Good but could be improved.
There’a currently no way for showing and searching your invoices by Invoice Number, not sure why this was overlooked. Invoice numbers are not displayed in your invoice lists when marking them paid, and you can’t search by them. So you have to manually browse all invoices to check.TeckAudio

I love having the app on my phone! Saves me so much time trying a run a small business and keep ontop of everything! Means I don’t have to get home late and sit down at my desk, I can do all my reconciling and check my invoices from bed!

While I have been with Xero for 10 years yiu should be warned that price increases are fairly constant. A few times a year. Example: they sponsored a football team and raised prices to cover it. It’s pretty gross. They add features and make all pay for it when most don’t need it. Just google it. It’s bad. If I had to start over I would choose another platform but I’m stuck.Show lessMNBrad

Hi MNBrad, The Xero Accounting app does give you access to the profit and loss report. If you can’t see it on your dashboard try scrolling until you see “Profit and loss” widget. If this is something you access regularly you can reorder your dashboard from the bottom of your device to have it appear at the top.Don’t download if you are iPad user
Downloaded almost all Xero apps on my iPad Pro, most of them don’t even have iPad version, and this specific app does have iPad version, however, there is no accounting options, you can’t even connect your bank on the dashboard page. Their expense on UI design is very concerning, I guess stay with big names like QuickBooksShow lessYCLio

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
I’ve had sever cases open with Xero for features they advertise like statement syncing and auto tax. These features aren’t working in my installation and they haven’t worked for over a year. Xero support reps reply with the most boilerplate answers I’ve ever seen. It’s infuriating. An AI chat bot could provide better answers. “Thanks for your patience while we look into this! We still have zero ETA but thanks!” It’s been a year… Seriously Xero staff if you read this. Fire your support manager and start over. I’ll never recommend this software again after these experiences with your support team.Show lessmisterctw

Xero does not grandfather you in. Beware, they continually raise prices to fund things like promotional business fund of $750K, sponsor football teams…
I would not recommend getting started with Xero for this reason. They are not small business friendly. Check the thread on Xero of all the price hike complaints and adding unnecessary additions for the small business.Show lessFantastic native app

We work on many different projects across the same large institutions, and each have a different contact person. But if you are creating a new contacts it only allow a unique organisation/company name. E.g. I might work for many different projects and people in the the Ministry of Health - but I can only add “The Ministry of Health” once.Show lessMegarillow
Shortcut not working
I have always used the Xero app, in particular the shortcut from photos. I was able to upload photos directly from the photo app through shortcuts to the Xero app. I was also able to upload documents from the document using the shortcut, directly into Xero through the app, however as of 3 days ago, these shortcuts are no longer working. I am using the latest IOS and have the most updated version of the app. Is somebody able to follow up on this as it is shive inconvenience to have to open the Xero app every time I want to add a photographed receipt or documented receipt. It was so easy to do this when the shortcut was working.Show lessBleeblag
