Sleep Schedule Failures
In general, this is a good app when it eventually connects to your WiFi. Sometimes it says one camera is too close and my other too far away and sometimes, they’re fine. My main issue with this software and the reason I’ve cancelled my Event Recording Subscription, is because of the bug within the Sleep Schedule section of the software. Let’s say for example, I create a Sleep Mode Schedule Mon - Wed 4pm until 6am, so that the cameras monitor between 6am and 4pm. The software will put the cameras into Sleep Mode Mon and Tue after 4pm but on the last day, it doesn’t stop at 4pm. It continues monitoring until I manually switch it into sleep mode. I have only given an example of the Sleep Schedule above but regardless of what I set, it does not go into sleep mode on the last day. Watching events of when it should have gone into Sleep Mode and seeing myself undressing after work, isn’t a pretty sight (not funny). Therefore, the software should be rectified immediately. Update June 10th. Have now uninstalled this app and using the Birdfy app which works perfectly. Do not install this app. And now, after buying SD Cards for your NetVue CCTV cameras instead of using their paid cloud service, NetVue have now put additional firmware into the cameras that will now only take event photos and have stopped you from taking event motion images. A few features needed.
The quality of the camera and videos are great and the options of where to hang it up are good to. But the motion detection definitely needs fixing. I have mine set up on a tree where birds can perch and eat, but every time a gust of wind moves the leaves it goes off which is very annoying. Another thing is that there should be an automated setting to scare off certain animals or species of birds that eat up the seed. The grackles have been the worst for me and I have to go for periods of time leaving the feeder empty. If an automated setting to scare off species like grackles who devour the seed is in place it would be very helpful. Only loads random videos
What’s the point of this app and product if you can’t even see what’s been recorded? It randomly decides to load videos for playback , others it says “play videos after loading” and nothing happens. God forbid you need the footage in case of an emergency because you won’t get it! I try to check the SD card footage on the timeline part of app and soon as it starts to play, it crashes.Show lesswildbyte
I love this app!!
My first Birdfy was a birthday gift from my kids, best birthday gift ever!! I love this new Birdfy Pro! The addition of the hummingbird feeder and the suet holder allows a much larger variety of birds. Having the solar power panel is a big plus! I don't have to bring the bird feeder inside to recharge. The camera takes excellent pictures! I absolutely love watching birds, and this Birdfy Pro makes it possible to do so anytime anywhere!Show lessDebbie Henson
Works for a bird feeder!
I use this app along with the Birdfy bird feeder and it works just fine for this purpose. I am able to see the birds and my backyard clearly. The camera detects motion quickly and I am promptly notified through the Netvue app. I can easily pull up a Live View of my backyard when I need and talk through the app to whomever is outside, though I have little use for the app for security purposes. Have not experienced any bugginess or malfunctions in the app while using it.Show lessTheBlueMorpho

We have used Netvue for both our Birdfy feeder and our Birdfy Nest.

I have used the Netvue app for a year and it just keeps getting better! Every update brings new features and better performance. I have several of their cameras and they are excellent. Birdfy
The Birdfy is amazing. Very clear pictures of the new birds in our area. Using the Netvue app to capture all of the new information is wonderful. I get alerts when birds arrive so I can watch them live or through the camera if I’m not home. Love it and highly recommend for birders.Gr4ybeard
Birdfeeder
We use this app with the Birdyfy bird feeder. The camera connection is easy and we have two feeders. The one in the backyard is about 50’ from our cbs house and has a strong connection signal. The one in the front which is only about 16’ from a window was a medium signal until I moved the antenna down to horizontal , now it signal is strong and the antenna has become a perch. The app has a cooldown time that we set to 1 hour because all the bird notifications were to frequent. The picture quality is great. I have not had this app crash and have been using it for about 10 months. My only request would be to add a motion filter allowing us to adjust the distance past the feeder to be ignored.
