  • Stuck on startup

    Trying to order for the first time in a while. The app asks for my phone number, and then says it’s associated with an existing account. But! It doesn’t give me a chance to log into that account. There is no option to back out and try to log in to that account a different way.

    Really think about this for a second, folks-
    I cannot log into my account because I have an account. Ridiculous, ain’t it?

    I live right next to a Buona (actually a 1-minute walk) and can’t order ahead due to this app’s minor oversight. I remember other minor app goof-ups when I ate here more regularly.

    Also, please don’t ask me to “just redownload” an incomplete app. I’m eating elsewhere and probably won’t look at Buona again.

  • Family Meal - No Gravy

    I purchased the Buona Beef Family Meal. As a person who orders my sandwiches “baptized”, I made a point of inquiring about the gravy and was assured there would be gravy in the bowl. I get home and was very disappointed to find a very small amount of gravy in the bowl. Not even enough to add a small amount to one sandwich, let alone 4 sandwiches. So, basically a super dry sandwich. Next time for family packages, I guess Portillo’s is the place to go.

  • Birthday Sandwich Purchase ,August 19th.

    I attempted to purchase or redeem my B/D sandwich for August 18th. I attained the age of 74. The young clean cut white male cashier told me that I had put it on the “App”? He could not or would not help me. If I had been a 74 yr old white male instead of a black male he would have checked my account thru my phone record. He claimed there was No record of me? Really! I sat down , checked my phone through the “App” for Buona’s. It was there. When I came back to the counter , I walk with a cane, handicap plates on my car,etc. He saw me but wouldn’t come out to wait on me. Another young lady came out from the back, very pleasant person, helped me with my account , scanned the “Barcode” and was a perfect employee. I thank you for my Birthday Sandwich & I purchased a Large sandwich for my which, who is at work! Kudos to the young Lady! The Sandwiches were Great!

  • Great Food! Great Service!

    We’ve been loyal customers for 25+ years. We typically don’t return to many restaurants just because there are so many restaurants from which to choose. However, Buona is an exception! We love the food not only for dining but definitely catering as well. The food gets delivered and set-up and all we need to do is enjoy!
    The only thing we miss are some of the older employees at the Hillside location. They were truly gems of the restaurant.

  • 100% chance of ruining order

    NO SALT MEANS NO SALT! It does not mean dunk salted fries back in the oil and give the customers BURNT, OVER-SALTED fries. Nobody clicks the well-done button for a reason: STOP BURNING FRIES! Hint: those white cubes clinging to the fries ARE SALT CRYSTALS! The most casual glance will tell you that! On to cheese fries: CHEESE FRIES ARE SUPPOSED TO INCLUDE CHEESE. GET IT? Cheese PLUS fries! It’s in the name. You charge a dollar extra for cheeseless cheese fries! Could I pay a dollar extra for unsalted, unburnt fries instead? DRY MEANS DRY. Dry doesn’t mean soggy or dipped! Why are all these features on your app if you’re simply going to ignore them? Oh, BECAUSE YOUR APP DOESN’T WORK AGAIN! Can’t login on the app. Can login on the website and have my order ruined that way, but the app is garbo. Time for another rebuild where you steal everyone’s Points AGAIN. UPDATE: Migrate the points they just stole from you to the New Rewards pro… oh, wait, they stole the points so there’s no real point in migration. This is what, the FOURTH point stealing “update”? Can’t you just “expire” points like regular sleazeballs? Do you not see the irony of punishment on Loyalty rewards? And if it’s been a while, do you think STEALING those points will bring me back?

  • No more forced tipping.

    You know so many of the restaurant ordering apps have forced tipping? Buona took it off of their app everyone. Round of applause!! Just for this, I left a good tip for the hard working staff at the store when picking up my order. Buona has always worked hard to improve their customer experience and made me into their loyal customer.

Good thing Buona was able to put a stop to that quickly otherwise the Chinese developers of this app might get current credit card data.

  • Great service, excellent food!

    This is by far the best beef sandwich of all time, no comparison! The fries are perfectly crispy on the outside and soft inside, they hold sauce or cheese well too.
    The staff was great too, especially Noelia, she went above and beyond in helping up find ingredients for the Nashville hot chicken sandwich as we had a food ingredient sensitivity to high fructose corn syrup. She didn’t hesitate to obtain the ingredients and make us feel heard, we appreciate your professionalism, she should be the manager of the Oswego Buona location, no question!

  • Great customer service!

    We have been Buona diehards for years and they are our favorite Italian beef. Recently we ordered a two pound beef and some others stuff for takeout. When we got home we found that there was no juice! I called and explained that I road my bike to get the food and really didn’t want to ride the 4 miles there and back to get it. A manager got on the phone and I gave him my address and 15 minutes later he dropped the juice off at our house. People make mistakes sometimes and that was a great response to the situation.

  • Strawberry & Avocado Salad

    This is my go to salad at least once a week, however it’s getting disappointing lately it’s getting smaller and smaller with each time I order it… today was extremely disappointed I had literally 1 slice avocado in the salad 🥗😱😰
