Much Improved!
These recent updates have dramatically improved the app experience. I find the app to be clean, clear, and easy to use. All of the functionality I need is found within these new enhancements. Well done Transamerica!Kirby Dawg
Still terrible years later
After using the app for a couple years, it’s exhausting that the company doesn’t have the basics working yet. Trying to log in, it gives you a security question page that is IMPOSSIBLE to bypass. No way to select a security question, no way to answer it. It’s been like this for two years. Either there’s no QA or the company just doesn’t care. This is just one of the many, many issues with this company’s technology operations. The website is just as bad. New Update Garbage
I used to check my 401(k) balance a couple of times a week. The new update is so bad that I just deleted it. If I need to make a change to my retirement account, I’ll just go to the desktop version of the site on my phone.
Edit: I was curious if after a year the app was any better. I downloaded it again. It’s terrible. My log in didn’t work. I confirmed I was typing the exact same thing in the mobile page as the app. My log in works on mobile. The notes from an update 2 days ago said it fixed log in issues, so the app clearly has a history of log in issues.Show lessAdam 1212
Absolutely useless
Our company switched from Nationwide to Transamerica (why on earth…) and it’s been horrible since. If you’ve read other reviews, they are 100% accurate. No transparency, not up to date at all. This app doesn’t work, at all. Online it will work but there’s certain tools they have that are constantly crashing with a 404 error that’s never fixed. It’s scary to have tens of thousands of dollars going to this company every year without a decent platform to manage it on.Show lessCharlie3294
Simple and streamlined
This app is solid. Does it have all the bells and whistles of the website? No, but if I’m checking my retirement balance or need to change my contribution quickly, I expect the process to be easy and straightforward. This app accomplishes that. Face ID is a plus!TME6

Broken
I just downloaded this app, again hoping there has been some resolution. It’s still broken. After entering correctly my log in criteria, It will pop up an error of: “The information you provided could not be validated”. Called the support number, was directed to go to secure website to log in and it was successful. Then was told to remove app and d/l again. Still broken. I was told to use the web site. If I wanted to go to the web I would not have d/l the app!Show lessTee Crowne
Easy access to the information you need while on the go
Easy access to the most important information I need while on the go. I use the app several times a week to confirm retirement outlook status, investment performance, balance info, etc. Facial recognition works fast every time. Simple and easy to use.LKT 817
Face recognition never works
They really need to improve the whole app. So outdated and so not user friendly nor the interfacing on the website even provide any information. Whoever working on the app development or online design do not know what they are doing or never go look at the competitors web stuff. They kept saying they are trying to improve it. Trash
Try logging in on app and it does nothing. Not even a loading screen or indicator. Just nothing. Same password and user name logs me in on their website though. This company is absolutely trash and I can’t wait to leave this company when I switch jobs this June.
