  • Hate the new layout.

    1) I would like to see my balance, rate of return, and contributions on one screen, with an option to change the date range. I’m tired of clicking and scrolling around the app. The old version was much better at giving a snapshot of my retirement status.
    2) Why is my projected retirement income always “temporary unavailable “?
    3) Why does a retirement savings app need to know about my health? Very intrusive.

  • Fix your app, please!

    I am one of those people who check their account on a daily basis. I constantly have issues with the app. Totals on the initial summary page are out of date all the time and do not match totals if you go into the details.

    Also, it takes a lot longer after the market closes to have updated totals show up in the app (on the details... should show on the initial page, but that issue is referenced above)

    On the old app I was able to see both my Transamerica accounts AND my remaining u transferred balance in TIAA/CREF. So nice to have all in one place, but that went away with the December update.

    I keep checking to see if there is an update to the app and am continually disappointed. All these issues (and more) started with December 2020 update. It is now 3 months later and there doesn’t seem to be any sense of urgency in getting these issues resolved. I no longer have confidence in Transamerica.

    Please provide a summary of all the known issues and provide a timeline for getting them fixed.

  • Does this cover life insurance accounts ?

    I have been paying into life insurance account a few years now. I really would like to figure out if there is a good quick app from Transamerica to get into that whole life policy ?

    Does this one do it or is there another ? I’m having issues figuring out how to get online access. I just want to make sure I’m going to the right app. Need customer support response. Thanks

    Hi Texaggies. The Transamerica Retirement app only includes access to your retirement account. We currently do not have a separate app for life insurance accounts. We are working on adding outside accounts to the Transamerica Retirement app soon. In addition, we are also working on improved ways for insurance policyholders to access their accounts online. Our agents at 1-800-Pyramid can help you get the policy information you need today.
  • App is constantly down

    This app is constantly down. When using fingerprint or physically logging into the app I get a “We are experiencing system issues” and told to call a number. Calling the number listed in the error gets you their automated phone system and takes forever to get the one small piece of info I need. All I want to do is check my retirement balance.

  • Very disappointed

    I’m very disappointed with the TransAmerica app. The design is terrible and it doesn’t even handle the animation for “back” properly. I only point that out because I had to dig, and dig, and dig to try to find what I was looking for and I got annoyed when trying to back out to get to home.

    This is the worst financial services app that I have. The team that designs and builds this app need to be replaced.

  • Getting better

    They butchered the app several versions ago, but the developers are listening to feedback and implementing features that were removed. Thanks developers for considering the input of users, and I appreciate the return of biometric login and also being able to see more detail on the account. Look forward to seeing more updates and features added in the future.

  • App Reflects the Company

    It’s a shame Vanguard sold their Annuity business to Transamerica. Initial experience with both the company itself and their web platforms has been pretty awful. Initial account set up went well, but everything else has been like pulling teeth. Step it up or lose my business permanently.

    Edit in response to your reply: If other Transamerica products are unavailable on this app, you shouldn’t be sending discourse asking customers to download an app they can’t use. The fact that it was never actually possible for me to view these accounts online is frustrating. Waste of my time.

    Hi Rhino. 24. We're sorry to hear about your recent experience. The Transamerica Retirement app is designed to provide account access for customers with a Transamerica Retirement Plan. Unfortunately, other Transamerica products are currently not available in this app yet.
  • Can’t Log In

    I have tried to log into this app on my mobile device for about 4 months with no success. I use the same login as my PC which I can login with no issue. I have called cust support and they can’t figure it out and haven’t addressed my issues at all. I am very disappointed. If it wasn’t through my employer I would change retirement companies because of this. I am trapped.

  • Feels like I’m being scammed

    I’ve called customer service and reset my log in multiple times. I’ll get in once after about an he process. A few days later “your account information cannot be validated.” Interesting since I saved all the info. I honestly feel like Transamerica is keeping me out of my account so I can’t check it or move it out. It’s disgusting, this company is awful and shady. And 1.8/5 star rating at the time I wrote this should tell everyone something...

  • New version not so good.

    The new version doesn’t update numbers correctly on Home Page. The numbers on the home page are different than the totals when you drill into account.

    Can not update info in Get On Track feature. Add info to start and it does not save it.
