Shockingly bad app
Aside from the massive over-charge for poor service levels, I can't quite believe am ISP and IT company has such a terrible app (and website) - pages either take ages to load, or don't load at all, and the "services" offered are unusable. This is what happens when there is no competition in the market. The company should be ashamed to offer such poor value.Show lessDeveloper Response

Awful service and very expensive.App is useless if Du can’t fix its mindset and paper-fixated policies
This app struggles with issues caused by Du management policies.
Here are my pains;
Wanted to reset a wallet on prepaid SIM. I just got a reissued SIM from a store. The employee forgot to reset the wallet. It’s useless to top off and unable to switch to a pay as you go plan. I am forced to drive again to a store in holiday traffic and stand in line for hours in COVID surge. Thanks Du!!!
I wanted to add an authorized user on my postpaid SIM. No way. Can’t be done. I have to grant my whole account to my family member.
I wanted to change from a postpaid to prepaid. Can only be done in person. If you get stuck outside UAE, prepare for endless bills and possibly visa issues. Du won’t allow you to end a contract and pay a small penalty remotely.
Then why bother with apps if you are stuck in 19th century mindset?Show lessDeveloper Response

What’s so incredibly urgent to stop the same current version app from functioning until update.
So sillyAuto payments don’t work
Every month is a new issue with the auto payment.
My registered card works fine for the phone bills but didn’t work for the internet. The accounts are linked.
After several calls to customer support - they said it is sorted.
This month both payments failed because it is trying to use my OLD card which isn’t even on my account anymore.Show lessDeveloper Response

I have had numerous problems with using this app. I changed my credit card due to fraud and updated the new card in the app and used it for a credit purchase.
Then keep getting texts and emails that my card is not active.
I went to a store and confirmed my card is active. Still get the texts etc. went to another store showed the info in the app and they again updated it.
But yes still get the texts. I email support who say yes it’s active and then guess what? My services get cut off.

When you arrive at DXB the immigration official will give you a free Du SIM that’s good for 24 hours. Problem is you can’t recharge via the app with an international credit card. You gave to go to a Du store (where they are quite helpful)
Once you recharge, the app doesn’t tell you what your remaining usage is. You get a text when you have 100 mb left which is pretty useless.Show lessDeveloper Response
Hi Terry, unfortunately only GCC/UAE issued Mastercard & VISA cards are accepted for Online payment/recharge. If you activate a Tourist plan bundle, the data plus minutes are available on the app; furthermore, you could dial *135# or call 135 & follow the instructions to check the balance. GoodBad experience
I got forced to pay for package that I didn’t use because it was canceled by the provider one day after activation. I was overseas and it was an internet connection. Instead of giving me a gift for that huge mistake they started to blackmail me to pay or to lose my number.
