  • App Reno Coming... When?

    This app is so sketch, it makes me feel like I’m using something that’s been compromised. Between the excessive load times, the lag in showing when a transaction has been made on my card, and all around little user friendliness, I don’t feel comfortable connecting my bank account to make my credit card payment... if I even have the ability to do so. The only thing worse than this app is the customer service, or lack there of, I have received. How do I talk to someone in this company? What kind of outfit is this? Considering returning to Discover.

  • Terrible slow and unavailable at times

    I just opened accounts with you and this app is so clunky, slow and unavailable at times. I get the message that your online bank is unavailable. Please fix your dinosaur app. Please also remove the spinning wheel for loading. No other bank apps in Australia that I have used are this dinosaur! The navigation is so clumsy. I have to touch a few area to actually get where and what I want. To load up the app to simply check bank balance takes forever. Not realiable in this age where we need quick balance and 24/7 access. I cannot rely you on as my main bank until you fix yourself!!

  • Worst Banking App EVER

    Mobile banking apps are supposedly meant to make things a little easier when dealing with your accounts — well not this one!! It not only looks, but feels, old and outdated. It is extremely slow in comparison to other banking apps I have used and it somehow manages to feel clunky and somewhat messy.

    I have scrolled through the reviews to this time last year and they are still just as horrible as they were then!! Obviously customer satisfaction isn’t high on HSBC’s priority list.

    A MAJOR update is desperately needed and would be crucial to not only keep your customers happy, but to keep them banking with you at all!! Put a little effort into your app as it is something a lot of people, including myself, have to use EVERY DAY!! Never been so disappointed!

  • Freezes- Can’t Connect- Please Update

    To the creators of this app: please update your app. I don’t have the time to go into the bank to deposit my checks and when your app repeatedly crashes while I try to mobile deposit my check I lose a little bit of sanity.
    Sometimes it will take 15-20 minutes to attempt to send the information to the server and never complete it- so I don’t even know if my check has been deposited. I have to check my deposits to see if it worked.
    Please update. Fix bugs. This app is insanely buggy.

  • Worst app of all time

    I work on a digital product team at a bank and this app took over 3 hours and two customer service calls to work properly. Very poorly crafted.. my local credit union does a better job! Almost considering canceling and moving my accounts elsewhere - that is how bad it is. Problems:
    1) Getting access alone is a nightmare. You need to receive multiple different codes first (forget two factor, this is like three factor authentication) - and they don’t make it clear that one of those codes expires shortly.
    2) If you like me have trouble clicking “log on” despite using the right passcode it may be because you are using your phone’s generated passcode but not manually entering it. Apparently it only takes manually entered codes (the should clearly state that). I had to call three times to figure this out. The first two customer service reps I spoke to did not know this. The third figured it out.

  • Outdated and Slow, Feels Unsafe

    I have refused to open more HSBC accounts because of how horrible this app is. The interface is definitely not up to Apple standards, and it loads very slow and jittery. The app feels sketchy and insecure.

    What makes it even worse is that every other hsbc app for non-us countries IS up to date. Yet the US version is still stuck in 2008.

    Sadly, I will not be using my hsbc account any more due to the issues I’ve had with this app. Even my local credit union has a better and faster app than hsbc. I’m very sorry for the bad review, but I hope the developers of this app take me seriously and make some changes.

  • Horrible

    Stop asking me to reset my password every time I log in! Why do I have to reset my password when it’s correct? This app is worse with every update. Why update for a worse user experience?
    Now with this lasted unnecessary update I’ll need to activate a digital secure key password. Why do I need to activate another one if I’ve already had one??
    Please put more investment into this app and stop making it so hard to use it. I haven’t got time to keep changing and resetting my passwords, let alone trying to remember them. Make up your mind which password you want us to use, the digital key or the online banking. I don’t want to call HSBC to reset my passwords every time I change phones, it’s annoying!!
    Please listen to the comments of your customers and do something about it.
