  • UNPROFESSIONAL AT ITS FINEST

My account’s been on hold for weeks, which ran through my membership for the month, I was offered no reason as to why there was a hold, nor was I offered any help to get this matter resolved. I contact customer support and get hit with rudeness from the associates, who want to play ring around the rosey when I ask to speak to a supervisor, then when I finally get a supervisor (my last encounter was with a supervisor named Lewis), he too is rude and unprofessional, ignoring my questions and closing the chat before a resolution is met. So my account is locked, my money is wasted, no one has contacted me, I’m not allowed to contact anyone, where’s the professionalism? Why can’t I even get an answer as to why my account is locked? It makes absolutely no sense… my advice, if you want to stay clear of a headache, DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP

  • Not worth the 4 star rating

The Citi bike app should not be worth the 4 star rating as it’s given.
First off all, when I started using this app I didn’t know it charged you for the amount of hours you ride, so when I docked out the bike from Fordham to go and run a few errands, it charged me a total of $76 for 3hours, and another $101 for a ride because I didn’t dock it after riding it, I didn’t know you’d have to dock the bike after riding it. Because I was new to the Citi bike system, it also charged my friend $113 for 5hours of ride, and as of today when I checked my bank account, I saw they deducted a total of $97 dollars for a ride over a week or two ago which is absolutely outrageous

Secondly, the amount it charges for a ride is outrageous and expensive, and I think it also charges you even when you’re not riding it because it’s not docked in.

Citi bike should reduce the amount of riding charges they bill you and also provide more docking stations so it can be easier for the bikes to be docked when done riding, and to also give a heads up to new time users that they charge you for the amount of hours you ride and tell you when you exceed a $10 mark

In my opinion and user experience I think it’s not worth it and there are many other alternatives of transportation apart from this app, overall it should be given a 1star from the other reviews and other people’s experiences so far.

  • Expensive and unreliable

I use this sorry excuse for a service for commuting due to a lack of better options. Even with an annual membership, the additional prices are ridiculously expensive. Not to mention that - as a member -, I had 5 free unlocks for my wife if she occasionally wants to bike with me. It should be 5 per month, not 5 in total. The availability of both the bikes and the docks is terrible - I just missed an appointment as neither of the 2 docks I went to had any bikes DESPITE THE APP SHOWING AVAILABILITY. I was standing right at the dock with the app showing available bikes and there were none - all of them were flashing red.
The quality of the free/blue bikes is just abysmal, unusable. 0.5% inclination? Forget it, you will die trying to cycle up there.

Everything is just falling apart due to negligence and lack of repairs, terrible.
