  • Good app, can be better

Overall the app provides some good notifications and scheduling capabilities.
Need more flexible ways to communicate though in my humble opinion. Chat function is only limited to people in the same room (or we didn’t know how to do it, either way it’s inconvenient design), which in our case with multiple rooms it didn’t work as what we needed.
Activity bookings are convenient, but a lot of times they were disabled without any information, for first time cruisers like us, because of this we missed some good and important sessions like royal gathering. And once booked, in my case some paid activities didn’t have easy ways to cancel.
The last night on cruise and luggage policies should be explained more clearly. There were like 10 last night activities for cruisers to attend to and we just noticed at dinner through random conversation that the luggage needs to be put out at the hallway before 10:00pm otherwise everything needs to be self carried. What a shock and exercise for ending a vacation.

  • So good.

This is our second sailing in our first sailing we did concierge’s. I am telling you there’s no need for concierge’s unless it is something that you just want to do to isolate yourself a little bit from the ship. You cannot book the cabanas unless you’re sailing concierge’s which we did do the first time, but not this time and Castaway Cay was just fine without the cabana. We did do the new dinner on the Wish and Enchante’ was better in our option then La pergola in Rome (although comparing at this level is silly as they are obviously both as good as anything you will ever have). The dinners, food and service were so terrific. The new Aqua mouse is worth the 30-40min wait as it will remind you of Mickey’s runaway railroad from Hollywood Studios a little. Shows were like being on broadway, and there is something for everyone. Our 11 year old did Edge and loves it, our 7 year old liked oceaneere’s club but since she did not have her big sister with her this time she asked to get picked up after only 20min which was just fine with us :-)! The obstacle course, by Incredibles, was also definitely worth trying (30min wait) but make sure your swimsuit is on TIGHT (no joke lol). So happy we went on another Disney cruise and can’t wait for our next one!

  • Not great

The cruise offers a lot for kids but the long lines were wearisome. I would never subject my small grandchildren to that again. The nightly formal dinners were too much. Disney needs to offer other options. Kids and adults in this day and age eat more casually. I cannot eat fish, do not eat lamb so it was beef, beef and beef and the formal dinners took forever.

The biggest concern is the special activity offers. I saved for years to take my granddaughters on this cruise. But because I didn’t buy the most expensive room or have a Disney membership, I was not allowed to sign them up for the desired experience—Princess Tea Party. This was heartbreaking. Why not offer more experiences so the poorer class can have this experience with children they love as much as rich people. In the ads, Disney makes it look like the princesses and Mickey etc are walking all around. The truth is, to see anyone, kids have to stand in lines for over an hour

The pool was fun for kids and the stage shows were wonderful. The character shows were only visible to the few kids that had front seats
Additionally, we paid for 3 destinations—-but the 3rd was cancelled because of weather. There is no benefit given. You lose the trip and the money AND Disney didn’t offer one other event or opportunity to a ship full of disappointed kids and parents. Kids and adults love Disney. It’s too bad the company doesn’t do a better job awarding that loyalty

  • Halloween Cruise

We had a wonderful cruise. It was very clean and everyone was so friendly. However, on the 5th floor where the popcorn is, you need a bigger popcorn mechanic to accommodate your passengers and a waiting area for popcorn. . I observed people sitting on the floor on the corner by the elevator. It was a fifteen minute wait , because the little popcorn machine wouldn’t keep up with demand. A older lady (65) walked around the corner and tripped over the people that were sitting on the floor by the elevators. She fell flat on her face. This was unacceptable!!!!!! I alerted your staff. They did ask the older lady if she was okay, but never asked the people to get off the floor. Disney has everyone on their phones to check places and times. You can’t have obstacles in your way ,if you’re encouraging everyone to use their phones. I encourage you, to look back on your cameras and make sure this doesn’t happen again. This and the buttons on the elevator are the only two negatives, I have. Definitely will be booking again. Thank you

  • I love it but doesn’t work on iOS13

I do thoroughly enjoy this app and everything it has, but it says that it is compatible with iOS13 when it is in fact not. It makes my app crash and does not offer and older version that does function on an older operating system. I cannot update my phone because like with most technology it will destroy the battery that was not made for the features of iOS14 and above. I would prefer if it could work on my current operating system and not have to make me sacrifice my phone to use it. Please do fix soon, I love this app.

Update: I feel like the developers don’t really read these things. I was saying how I can’t get into my app at all because it keeps crashing, and they tell me to go into the app to report the issue in the future...IF I COULD DO THAT I WOULD. With the new update you can download an older version pre-iOS 14.1 BUTTTT it’s the a version that still does not work on iOS 13.5.1 and previous! Soooo what’s the point? The last app update to function properly was the 4.11.0, please bring that one back!

  • Wonder Cruise

Chef Marsden in Palo, his food simply divine and sublime, in my opinion better than Remi on Fantasy (February sailing). From the first bite you can tell the greatness of flavor. I never had a Chef make us special item for dinner and brunch. He was certainly the shining star of our cruise experience when it comes to Disney Cast Members. We will be talking of him for many cruises to come!
Our server Nikhil worked extra hard on the very first day as he was without his usual assistant and we could tangibly see how efficiently he hustled to satisfy us and everyone he was assigned. He was also attentive to us during non-dinner times at breakfast, remembering our names and likes/dislikes as well as making us feel special. He would make a great addition to Palo (which we dined in four times on this cruise)!
Rosetta made towel art to a whole new level and the room was immaculate and felt clean. She even made signature towel art for our anniversary and special celebrations and had attention to detail when cleaning the room to what areas we used more frequently. She was a lovely room host!
Alcohol class was fantastic with Craig, Kareem, and Pen.

  • Frustrating

This app was one of the most frustrating aspects of the Disney cruise. It crashes regularly meaning when I’d get a notification and try to launch the app, it would just close. The texting function is just ridiculous. For one, many sent texts are never received by the other person. My husband would show me texts he sent me, and I’d show him my app messages which wouldn’t event show they were there. Secondly, why do you have to know the other guest’s 6-digit number even if they’re in your travel party? Trying to book the Star Wars Hypeforce experience was unacceptable. The user would have to click into each “available” time, click Confirm, only to see that time slot was not available. The most frustrating was that the phone needed to have very specific settings to work: needs to be on DCL-GUEST Wi-Fi, but in airplane mode, with Local Network on for that app. It would make sense to give each stateroom a document walking through it and/or send the instructions along with the port arrival form.

  • Disney FABULOUS 🚢♥️

This was a truly magical week! I traveled from Texas with my daughter and granddaughter. This cruise was my granddaughter’s 13th birthday gift. I ordered ahead and Disney delivered a happy birthday cupcake, with her name on the plate, to our door!!! We were all three in amazement of how friendly the crew greeted us throughout the ship, the cleanliness was superb, we noted what great shape the ship was in, the dining is to die for and the servers were AMAZING! The onboard live shows were definitely one of the highlights and seeing a new Disney movie that has not been released to the public yet. WHOOP! The navigator app is very user friendly…. everything you want to know is in the app….. even contacted guest services a couple of times…. no need to wait in line. Or you could tune in on channel 1 and cruise director, Darin and Anthony would fill you in on the days adventure. You could be as busy or just relax!
    We are definitely going back!!!

  • Disney dream 2022

My family of 5 just finished our 4 night cruise to the Bahamas. It was our first cruise and we definitely intend on cruising again soon with Disney! The service was exceptional throughout the entire vacation. The staff was very attentive and made our food allergy top priority. Thank you to Budi, our server and esmarelda! Rooms were very immaculate despite our tornado children messing them each day. Shout out to Eric for keeping them so clean for us! We did take part in the spa services. I booked a deep tissue massage for a member of our party which was only rated maybe a 6 out of 10. Sorry Disney, but we have had better massages for half the price. And as much as I loved the options and presentation of all the food, I was not impressed. There was only one day at enchanted garden, pirate night, when every appetizer, entree and dessert was to die for!! Absolutely fantastic food. All other nights, I felt the food lacked flavor and sadly, just wasn’t that good. However, I loved our vacation with DCL! I reserved a place holder for another in the future and cannot wait to return! Thank you Disney for making mine and my family’s trip so memorable!

  • Cruise experience

I wanted to thank Disney and their staff for allowing me and my family to experience such a magical journey! I sail on many top rate and we’ll known cruise lines. I have now abandoned ship with these other cruise ships! And officially now onboard the Disney team! You have gone over and beyond to release my COVID19 fear to travel again! For the app pre-checkin count down app which was super cool and easy to navigate! To the stress free and we’ll organise check in process at the port! No lines and stress free check in process! It took us less than an hour from our Covid testing to embark to for our fun to begin! It was so awesome to know everyone on the ship was required to test and know the entire ship was COVID19 FREE! The personal touch and attention to detail does not go unnoticed as if we have been cruising with Disney for years! The staff and shows was amazing it brought my family to tears every time we would discuss out evening events the next day! Disney has raise the bar so high that the other cruise lines has no latter to reach! I have begun my planning process for a cruise this upcoming fall! I am beyond excited to visit my next destination and ship with Disney! I can write a book on my experience but I will just have to wait until my next Disney cruise experience review! Thank you Disney for not giving up on Walt Vision you made him proud!
