  • Very disappointed

After paying in full and booking 6 adults and 2 grandchildren under 5, the communication was next to nothing. Never were we asked about scheduling an early dinner seating…we were assigned an 8 pm with a one and a three year old that couldn’t make it through dinner. We attempted to book excursions weeks in advance…the app listed all shore excursions as sold out. We attempted on numerous occasions to call..after literally over an hour wait time each time we attempted we figured we could just schedule once we arrived. We did not ever recall the contract stated we could not take our minor grandchildren ashore unless we booked an excursion. This was so disappointing as we had family that were meeting at the port in Jamaica to show us the island. We then tried to book an excursion…all sold out. 8 day cruise and only able to leave the ship at 2 ports, over crowded beach excursions in Cozumel and Disney's private island with no chairs or seating available The grand cayman stop was canceled, would have preferred to spend the 20k somewhere else.

  • Winter fun

We had a great time. I have a 6 year old and a 4 year old the fireworks were too late at night for them to stay up after an already very busy day. The beauty and the beast performance was amazing!! Wish we would have seen more photographers on the beach/castaway cay. My mom purchased the big photo package and we didn’t get any photos except when we just got off. We did the pirate ship at Nassau. That too was awesome!! They did a great good with the kids!! Thank you for having an option to get off and not have to go into town with the kids. The extra food options coffee/beer/drinks were very reasonably priced and because of that we were able to enjoy some extra goodies. The amount of characters that we saw on the ship was great. I’m dairy free the desserts were amazing but the dinner selections was ok. Some nights I could order off the regular menu but the chicken/salmon/steak got old very fast. The beds were amazingly comfortable and the towel characters are always cute. We had great time. Thank you!

  • Tips from a gramma on a scooter!

Having just had back surgery before the cruise I had a rented scooter so I could keep up with my kids and grands. It was EXTREMELY difficult to go out on the main decks (to watch the grands swim or eat). I would have to get a fast pace to get over the hump and it bounced me terribly and as I “landed” and on the deck it shook everything on my body and the scooter. Everyone around me looked in horror —I made them feel better as I laughed and said something about Disneys new adventure ride. I have a walker too but I could t keep up so anytime we had to go outside I would have to take the walker and was so uncomfortable. I noticed as we got off the ship there were carpet runners over the “humps” and I could roll right over them. I saw many many people with scooters and they had the same complaints. Just thought I would bring this to your attention.

  • My cruise

I would like to speak on my first Disney cruise. The dates were from November 4-8th on the Magic. This was me and my husband’s first trip without the kids. A week prior we were offered an upgrade to concierge. This level of service was sincerely needed and appreciated as working parents that don’t get or make enough time for ourselves. Unbeknownst to us who have never experienced concierge service before, yet only on a Disney cruise, the experience was priceless! The staff from start to finish was exemplary! The cleanliness was impeccable! The food was indulgent! The staff knew us by name everywhere we traveled throughout the ship. The ship was not crowded at all and didn’t once feel overwhelmed or uncomfortable with the procedures to various functions and services throughout the ship. Needless to say that we have planned another cruise with concierge and will continue to rave to any and everyone about our wonderful experience! We highly recommend Disney cruise line with concierge!

  • Fantastico

My finance and I are blessed to have had this wonderful adventure aboard the Fantasy Halloween Cruise on the High Seas, October 16-24th. Everything was absolutely perfect, except for disembarking without our coffee flavored tequila, which, the ship did not deliver back to our room. Unfortunately, Disney did not send us a reminder to pick it up before departure. It has now been four days and we have not received notification regarding this. We did attempt to contact Disney. cruise line and the port. It is impossible to reach them by phone. The recording should give a wait time. We waited over 1 hour and never spoke to anyone. I sincerely hope Disney will improve their phone system and
improve the communication between the passengers and crew as far as retrieving confiscated alcoholic beverages.
Other than that, the cruise and excursions were fabulous. Disney took all precautions to protect us from harm. We look forward to future cruises as we are DVC members
    Best regards,

  • Family test cruise

First I want to extend a big Thank you fir this great opportunity to test and vacation at the same time. As always the service from our cast is beyond words. I want to bring up the closest to us during our wonderful 4 day cruise on the Disney Fantasy. Jermaine our stateroom attendant with his warm greetings every time we saw him and his details to bring a smile to our faces every time we enter our stateroom, Senol and Jackson for all their attention during our dinners and breakfast on our last day. They were both outstanding with all of us in the party but most with my niece the princess to ensure she had her diner fast. Lastly Duan, our server at Palo. She patiently explained the menu and gave us great suggestions to ensure our dinner experience was a memorable one.
I would like to thank all the characters for their great appearances and also every cast onboard.

    Sincerely,
    Alba M Pérez

  • Best Vacation

I am 75 yrs old and my first cruise and to be on The Disney Dream was my dream come true. On the 24th when our bus carried us to meet the ship I was in oh of the size and the number of people getting on. From the welcome the crew gave us to the farewell they gave us I felt like the most important person there. Our stateroom was for me being being disable, what a room. So much room, two port wholes. Large bathrooms. I had a pink scooter and everyone loved my scooter. We were treated so special at our meals . Lenox and Zolton were the best. We were treated like family. They made us feel special every time. Then Pong was our hostess and we were given a surprise welcome each night when we came back to our rooms to sleep, he was our family also. Coming back to real life was hard to come back to. Our dream on the Dream was the best vacation this 75 yr old Meme ever had. Thank you Disney Cruise. From Brenda Solmon

  • Disney Does It Best

First time on the smaller Disney ship and it didn’t disappoint!! I was worried, as other cruise lines older ships (even renovated) are so dated and beds uncomfortable, rooms small, little fixes are seen all around and they just smell old. The Disney Wonder was just that, Wonder-ful! Disney has an impeccable standard and the staff is equally as efficient and friendly! Disney was my first ever cruise and (eight years and many cruises later) so far there is no comparison to room size, comfort of bed and bathroom, entertainment is incredible (although I do wish for nighttime adult comedy), quality of food, theatres, Castaway Cay is awesomeness!! I went with my best friend and it just didn’t matter that we didn’t have kids! This was just a repositioning Cruise but there was always something happening. There is something for literally everyone and places to be that have no kiddos. Disney Simply Does It Best!
    Thank you Disney

  • Still Needs Work

I’ve had the app since the days of the old fashioned suitcase which displayed the number of days left before the cruise. I’ve also been on 5 cruises (Iceland, Alaska, etc.) so I’m not a novice. The ultimate goal is to get rid of the daily paper navigator, which is an admirable goal. Here’s what needs work: still having to go in person to sign up for brunches, tastings, etc. Each time I’ve had to sign up in person, because the app shows no availability only to discover there was lots of slots still to be had. Palo was deserted and we had six people in our bourbon tasting. When the cruise is short, this time trying to book is burning my vacation time. Secondly, the ribbon that shows “Daily activities, character greetings, etc,” does not have a left swipe arrow to indicate that banner moves. I talked to others who didn’t realize this as well. The WiFi signup should coincide with the final setting up the app on board. There should be a prompt that indicates this as a next step. Don’t send me a long sheet of paper about the WiFi when the app could automatically do this and start the clock on the 50 mg of WiFi. Also, get the app to do little drop downs asking you to sign up for your placeholder on the app. Several new folks thought they had to go to the desk to do this. Keep working on this. I have faith in the design group! Put me in the testing group!

  • Re app and ways to improve

The app was a little tricky to navigate especially hard to figure out when you don’t have access until on board for all of the navigator. Would have been easier to plan out events if I could have had an idea of what to expect and tried using the app at home first. Also on the daily activities there Should be away to not only see your favorites but also to show things you want to do as a must do. For ex maybe have an additional option to place a star on all the events you want to do and use the heart for the ones you must do. Bc I chose a lot of option for my favorites but it was hard to remember which ones were the ones that I didn’t want to miss.
Also room service items should list more clearly what is available to get episode mentioned getting cheese platters and stuff it would be nice to know what all the options were and if any breakfast items were available And those items that cost additional should list the price. Lastly in case of an emergency there should be a way on phone that directs u to the muster area we went all over our ship on day 1 lost trying to find F. Very confusing if I needed to get there I would never be able to find my way. Just my thoughts.
