  • Used to be good…

    I have been using this service for years. Reliability and quality of work have gone down hill over the last couple of years and I am on the verge of canceling my recurring lawn service. The most recent issue, I ordered on 5/14 for service on 5/16, the order was accepted and assigned very quickly. It is the first now of the season so my grass is getting quite long. Dinner time rolls around on 5/16 and there is no sign of the landscaping company. I reach out via Chat to Customer Service for an ETA. After some time they come back and say that the provider is running behind and doesn’t know when they will get there so they are canceling and reassigning it. I ask how long that will take. All they say is ASAP. Two days later it still hasn’t even been assigned to a provider. I have reached out numerous times. Nobody has any answers. I am disabled and can’t mow the lawn myself. I am now receiving hostile notes in my mailbox about the length of my grass and today is the last clear day before several days of forecasted rain. Customer Service just tries to placate me with generic apologies and “we try to assign things as quickly as we can”. Nobody has escalated my order or offered me a discount for the no show of the unreliable provider they selected the first go around. I’d be willing to continue to pay for the service if it were simply reliable and they communicated proactively or showed some level of concern for basic customer service.

  • Gardening fail

    We paid for a gardener for two hours. He did not check in with us before starting, and ended up pulling out mature lupine flowers that had matured for several years. He did not check in with us before he left. He did not complete the weeding. He only worked for one hour instead of the two hours we paid for. We submitted the concerns to management. We sent photos from our security cameras with time stamps showing the arrival and departure times, proving we only received 1 hour of work. We sent 25 photos of all the weeds he didn’t remove, before leaving 1 hour early. We sent photos of the lupine flowers before and after they were removed. We asked our local flower shop what the value of mature lupine flowers and requested management compensate for the value of the flowers. After all that hassle, management was only was willing to refund 50%, which only covered the 2nd hour of gardening we paid for, but didn’t receive. They did nothing to compensate for the damages of the removed lupine flowers or the poor customer experience.

    Hi M485729! Reading through this, we remember working with you on this. Your tip is 100% correct, and exactly what we were explaining. If you need to move a job, and do not have a date you'd like to have it rescheduled to, then let us know to cancel it until you are able to find a date that works for you. Conversely, if you ask to reschedule and have a date in mind, let us know and we are happy to move it to then for you. You asked us to reschedule the appointment, and we happily said we would. We asked to when, and you never responded. We will always err on the side of caution, and because you didn't say you wanted to cancel the appointment or give us a day to reschedule it to, we left it as is until you let us know. It wasn't until 3 days after it was completed that you reached out to have that conversation with us. Through all of this, the job was completed as ordered and after you reached out to us about your thoughts on the difference between the terms reschedule and cancel, we did refund you the job in full, with no hassle. Thank you very much for you time when we did talk to you when you reached out and the feedback here.
  • Nightmare to deal with

    Stay away from this app. I had a previous review, and Plowz & Mowz replied in their typical passive aggressive and blame-shifting attitude. This is what you will be dealing with eventually once you run into one bad contractor. My last plow, the contractor wanted about triple the price. I declined, and Plowz & Mowz confirmed I declined, but after that they ceased all communication and sent the contractor over anyway. They didn’t clear the whole driveway; instead they left a big pile of snow blocking my vehicle in the garage, and still charged me for the job. I spent hours shoveling their mess up. Was that spite, or just incompetence? Later they claimed the order details were wrong or that the account wasn’t set up right; always an excuse on their side - I had years of previous orders that were completed correctly. If my account was broken or the order details were wrong, why did you still take my money and try to do it anyway against my wishes? A reputable company does not act so sneakily and underhandedly. Please start treating your customers like human beings.

  • Life saver

    I usually do my own snow removal but due to some health issues I have been unable to. I have used them twice now and both times have been great. The first time the driver came before my requested time and before the snowfall had ended but not much fell after so wasn’t a huge deal. The second time I got an alert with an approximate time of arrival and they showed up just after that. I watched out the window and they did a great job and seemed to even look it over a little after to make sure it was good. That was nice to see that it seemed like the driver actually cared. Very happy so far. It is a little spendy so that is about the only negative thing I can say at this time. But I don’t know what I would’ve done otherwise. Very happy.

  • MN Snow Plow Service

    We saw this app recommended on a community fb forum after a week of MN snow. It hasn’t snowed here like this in 30 years. Our snow plow had given out and my husbands back was going the same way so we decided let’s try this. We scheduled the service for the next day since it was still snowing (We weren’t expecting much since we figured plowers were overwhelmed with jobs right now). That evening we got a text saying our currently scheduled provider had been removed and we would be notified on the app when we got a new one. I texted and asked when they thought the job would get done and they responded to the text immediately! They thought someone would be there on the scheduled day not sure of the time. When I got up the next morning my first thought was “I wonder when and if they will show up”. Well, the text on my phone said the job was already done. It was done at 3:00 am and we never even heard them. We were impressed! Great communication and great service! A job well done by all involved!

  • MN Bomb Cyclone

    I needed to leave home for a quick trip on the early morning of an impending Christmas snowstorm that hit much of the entire upper half of the USA. Minneapolis was -3 degrees and expecting 6" of snow. The day before I left, I contacted a half dozen plow services. Each laughed at me and said they cant help bc they are booked. One suggested I download Plowz Mowz app. In my desperation, I did and ordered the service. I gave instructions as to how to plow my driveway and shovel walk and front steps. It was a 5 minute process. After the storm ended, a notice came via e-mail that my job was complete. I opened the app and to my surprise were photos of my driveway, walk and front steps, fully clear of snow. I was more than impressed and amazed how easy it was. Will certainly use the service again. The Bomb Cyclone storm was easy to manage with Plowz and Mowz.

  • Needed Help ASAP - DELIVERED

    At the risk of sounding helpless, each fall I’m left with a stack of leaves in my yard a mile high and without the physical energy or endurance or equipment to tackle it myself. Found this service after hours of searching online for lawn care services that could accept a leaf cleanup request sooner vs later. Majority had no immediate availability while others never responded back to me. Through this app I submitted the request and by the next day the job was done! No fuss, no hassle, swooped in and swooped out and sent me pics of the lawn when they were finished. Didn’t have to be home or interact directly with the worker(s). Really thankful this exists!

  • DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - we wasted $700

    I ordered a lawn mowing and flower bed cleanup. The total they quoted was almost $700. I thought it was a little high but it has been hard to find good lawn people.

    On the original service date no one showed up. At the end of the day I got a message saying my service date had been moved due to mechanical issues. They advised me our service would be completed the following morning.

    The next morning no one came so I messaged the company via chat around 3 pm. They informed me the service would still be completed that day. At almost 6 pm one guy comes with a small mower and starts working. He chain smokes the entire time.

    As it starts to get dark he uses his cellphone flashlight to keep working. Obviously the quality of the work someone can do with a cellphone flashlight in the dark is not high quality.

    I chatted in the next day to say the yard had not had a cleanup and the work was not done well. The rep basically said oh well and cancelled future services we had planned. I told the rep I felt like the work wasn’t even worth $200 but nothing was done to even attempt to make it right.

    To sum it up, you will have random strangers show up to mow your lawn not vetted lawn care professionals. The company will not do anything in attempt to make things right for the customer.

  • Ease of Use & Good Service

    I’ve used this app to order snow plowing and leaf service in the fall. The only issues I’ve had is when a crew doesn’t show for a job when intended and things are delayed but then the company contacts me right away and will send the job to another partner.

    The service I have received with the photos has been wonderful! Really would like to figure out who the one company is that has done my leaf cleanup and etc because I would love to hire them for additional jobs because they have done freeway work and are very respectful of my property.

    The ease of use with this app is great too!

  • Really neat App

    I needed to get my lawn cleaned up from the mess that winter left behind; and honestly I just didn't want to do it myself. I found this App online and gave it a shot. It's super user friendly, and when I got caught up on how/what I should be ordering; I was able to connect directly from the App to their customer service team. They walked me through my questions, I got a quote and placed the order right from the App. I don't usually leave reviews but I had to with the experience I had. After ordering I had a crew here in 2 days, they came (I didn't even know they were here until they were packing up), and took care of all the twigs/ leaves in my back yard. I tried tipping them as I caught them leaving, but they wouldn't accept. I'm really impressed overall with Plowz and Mowz; so much so that the next time I don't feel like doing something lawn related, I'll be hitting them up again and I'll definitely be recommending this App to my circle of friends and family.
