  • Don't Rely on Them for Plowing

    I've used this app to schedule leaf clean up in the fall. And it works fine. EXTREMELY overpriced for the job they do though. $200 to have someone with a large riding lawnmower drive around my yard to clean up leaves.

    Plowing on the other hand? I'll use any other service for plowing. I was able to talk to customer service, who said I could schedule a specific time. But in the request I can add that I need a specific time and they would try to work with the service. I asked for 6 am because it's right after when the city plow comes through. What time did they show up? 2:30 am. They missed a 5' x 12' section on the driveway because they were afraid they might damage the other vehicle on my driveway. And when I came out to leave, the plow came by and I was left with the situation I had paid to not have to deal with. I'll use Snohub next time. More expensive, but probably worth it.

  • No service

    Ordered a snow plow on Sunday morning for Monday morning. 1) the app rescheduled for Monday night, I called, they said it was a mistake and it would be no problem to have a provider by 6am 2) no one shows up at 6am, I am told “the providers truck broke we will get another provider 3)9am still nothing, I call, “we are sorry we can’t find a provider 4) over the next 12 hours I have to call back 7 times with still NO PLOW 5) it is now 5am the next morning, there is 2 foot of snow in my driveway and STILL NO PLOW ........I am not in a rural area, there are tens of thousands of people that live In my area, I am in a housing development, if they have a true network, why is no one able to pick up my job? This app is not worth it, I paid premium dollars for a convenience if not having to call the local landscapers myself, but I would have spent less doing so and had a reliable service. 1 star. If I ever get a plow to show up, I will update.

  • Reliability is an issue

    We switched to this service for weekly lawn mowing after struggling with a local person who was unreliable. For the first 6 weeks all was good. Willing to pay almost twice as much for what we thought was better reliability. Well, we are now going on Day 5 of one scheduled job being postponed after another. Still can’t get it done! This has been a stretch of dry weather so rain is not an excuse. I have been on the phone with them multiple times, chatted through the app etc. Sometimes the customer service was courteous, sometimes dismissive. I’ve heard everything from “equipment issues” to weather (when it rained for less than 5 minutes) and more. I’ve yet to be offered any real recompense for the problems. I’m just beyond frustrated at this point and actively trying to secure yet another service to do our lawn. I get that it’s a challenging business model in terms of reliability, weather, etc. But this company needs a plan for when one of their providers flakes out. Which inevitably happens. They clearly don’t have a plan for that.

  • Charged me for someone else’s yard

    I already was having issues with the lawn care provided, but I never got any response after I reviewed job. (The guy FLEW around my yard leaving bald spots at all the turns and then said my lawn needed “treatment” for bald spots 😤). Then I rescheduled a job, and the lawn care showed up two days before the previously scheduled date. Thankfully I was home to stop them. Then today I get a notification that my job “is complete.” And the pictures are of another house on a day I was not scheduled for. I was finally fed up and messaged them to fix it. Instead of immediately fixing it, they wanted repeated information from me that they could easily find in my profile. I tried to go in and cancel my recurring jobs myself, but there is no way to do that. So now I’m just stuck waiting on someone to refund me for a job performed at someone else’s house. SAVE YOURSELF TIME AND MONEY AND JUST ASK YOUR NEIGHBORS THE OLD FASHIONED WAY FOR RECOMMENDATIONS!!

  • Service not delivered and no refund issued

    So first the positive.

    They have something that appeals to many younger consumers. It is to easy to price it and book it all over an app.

    I will say also say that they are extremely pleasant and professional. Which for both of the above reasons makes this difficult to rate them a one star.

    The problem: They basically are a broker that sub contracts out your lawn care and snow removal to people who sign up render service.

    The first experience in the winter was favorable. But the lawn service was awful. Basically people with no experience bought a lawn mower and mutilated the lawn. Too bad I can’t upload pics to show you.

    We signed up to a 10 day plan. Every 10 days some was to show up. The billing is on time. So I was charged for the service. The person never showed. We waited as they promised to get it taken care. They asked please give us one more chance we will make it a priority.

    3 weeks later i had to rent a stand on motor to cut the lawn myself. I cancelled the service and requested a refund for the service charged but never performed. They agreed and we parted ways amicably.

    They never issued the refund! They never performed the service! If anyone is interested I can substantiate this by sharing the pictures and copy of the exchange since it was all by writing. Including their acknowledgment, excuses for lack of service and agreement to issue the refund.

  • Well...

    I’ll be honest and say I was very displeased with this app. Would schedule a service and it not show up for days. Customer service reached out to me and assured me things would be better. They have been MUCH better and I’ve even signed up for the services to happen every 14 days. They show up and do exactly what I ask for and the price is much cheaper than what I was quoted for by local companies. I’ve even had them weed my beds and they did a great job. Personally, I don’t think they should offer next day services without a guarantee that it can happen and I think that would make people a lot happier. Seems the negative reviews are of that. My recommendation is to schedule something a few days out to give them time and confirm the job.

  • Avoid the headache

    Read the reviews, I’m guessing most positive reviews are people who haven’t had to contact their terrible support and have been using the app for a short period of time. I was using them for almost a year on two properties. The mower did a horrible job (or didn’t mow at all) on the backyard of one of my properties. My tenants were angry because of they were walking through thick grass. I submitted pictures right away and took almost a week to get responses. The response was sorry nothing we can do because the mower took a picture at an angle that didn’t show most of the backyard. I told them if they didn’t stand behind their work I was going somewhere else and to cancel my next appointments. The response was, “we can do that have a great day :)”... basically says they don’t value their customers on top of slow response... great idea, horrible execution. Avoid the headache...Update: I recently started using LawnStarter, they seem to value their customers. It’s a bit more expensive but totally worth it

  • Worked for me

    I have used the mowing service twice so far. The first time I was frustrated that my lawn wasn’t mowed when they said it would be, but when I reached out to customer service, they replied nearly immediately at 8pm at night. I felt reassured they were on my side. The second time I used this app, it was much smoother. When it rained, the my service date was updated automatically to the next day before I had a chance to question if they were coming. The second time I also had a much more skilled individual mowing. I was very pleased with the results. This is 4 stars rather than 5 because I feel the price is more expensive than it should be. I love this idea and I hope that this company keeps making improvements because it has a ton of potential!

  • My own fault for trusting this

    I should have taken the reviews more seriously. We have quite a bit of debris and clean up needed for a few beds around our home. After submitting a custom quote request it took about 10 days to get a quote back which came back at $200 with tax. We thought that was very reasonable and decided to move forward. Unfortunately, the day the service was scheduled we were at the beach so we came back the next day and at first glance the beds looked great! Then we went into the back yard... the service provider took all of the debris from our beds and left it in a pile behind our garage!!! Then what they did bag up they didn’t even take it with them! They put it in our garbage cans filling them to the brim so we can’t even put our own trash in there until 4 days later! After contacting the app they said they would send the provider back and asked for photos. When I sent the photos they came back and said oh we didn’t include that in the quote from the partner so it will be another $250 to remove the debris!!!!!! What?!?!?! That’s more then the original quote AND it’s not my fault you didn’t include exactly what I requested in your request to the third party. I am livid and now my husband and myself still need to bag and dispose of this debris we hired this company to do for us in the first place. Last time I do anything like this through an app again!

  • Over time the service got worse

    I’ve used this service since they were babies just starting out. Customer support, communication in general, providers and services were great. I have used and do use both the mowing and plow service. However, in the last 6 mos. I’ve had issues with services provided (one plow service left piles of snow at the end of my driveway that I had to shovel, I’ve had service providers delay until the next day on mows and one just didn’t show) and when attempting to contact customer service on this I wither received no response, completely different info from one to the next, lack of energy or interest on the phone, talking over me on the phone, overall rude tone. Additionally, on one mow they charged me one thing, different than what was communicated and also not consistent with the “receipts” I received (4 different prices for one job). Very disappointed. I will be moving on to local companies and contracted services from those providers.
