What a Great Bed
My wife and I have been sleeping on my my old sleep number that I purchased back in 2001. For the past couple of years my wife has been having back pain that has been getting worse and worse. We finally paid off all of our bills and decided to purchase a new sleep number bed. After speaking with Chuck F at our local store here in Wilmington,NC. My wife and I were at a toss up between the i8 and i10. We finally decided to tryout the i8 and get a new base with it. What a wonderful decision we made. Sure making all the adjustments on our iPhones or my iPad is nice but my wife sleeps so much better now. She sleeps longer. Almost pain free and more rested. If anyone is thinking about getting an Sleep Number Bed…We would highly recommend them. I have had multiple back surgeries and that is what has led me to purchase my first Sleep Number 21 years ago. We would recommend the i8 or higher anything less would be a waste of your money. After we are done paying off our bed we will purchase another i8 for our son and daughter in law as a gift. He has back problems and we know this bed will be a dream come true! Thanks Sleep Number and Chuck F from the the Wilmington store. You have both once again proven to us that the Sleep Number beds are well worth ever penny!

App Needs Adjustments
The sleep data is pretty interesting, but I have not been able to alter the sleep hours for an individual day. It’s like once a routine is set, there can be no individual daily changes to it. As other reviewers have mentioned, the bed does not distinguish between sleep and wakeful activities. Also, despite my best efforts, I still have some mornings where I wake up several hours earlier than my routine is supposed to end, and the bed still registers that I am sleeping. This cannot be changed until later, and it makes some areas of the app inaccessible until the routine is complete. Why should responsive air continue to run when I am out of bed? While I can turn the temperature settings off, responsive air still insists there is a routine. I just don’t get it. There should be an “I’m awake for the day” button. I will say that the bed is amazing despite its little app quirks. I no longer wake due to night sweats, and the bed is easy to adjust. So 10 stars for comfort and convenience!

Great but could be excellent
I love the SleepIQ app for the stats it gives on how well I sleep at night and bed exits have been particularly revealing. I have been a sleep walker my entire life, but I had no idea how much I sleep walk until I got my Sleep Number bed. It turns out that I do that maybe 2-3 times per week for 20-30 minutes each time! The data has helped me figure out patterns that seem to trigger it, like having a nightcap before bed. I’m sleeping much better now and haven’t woke up even once sleeping in strange spots around my apartment after sleep walking.
As far as what could be improved- the app used to let me finely adjust the FlexFit base, but now seems to ignore it when I choose a preset and then want the head to go up or down. I think it still works if I fine tune a favorite, but I don’t want to try it and lose my previous setting. I spent to long finding just the right configuration for me. I think this is a huge bug you all need to fix, so -1 star.
Otherwise, I also concur with other reviewers who have said the app needs improvements on collecting data for naps, and wakeful activity like watching TV, or other more (eh-hem) “personal activities”. Privacy mode just isn’t enough. Users should be able to flag data that should not be inside the sleep health statistics.

Great bed but lots to learn
We’ve had our bed for nearly a year but there is still a lot to learn about it. I try to buy cheaper sheets which I’ve had a difficult time doing. I love the fact that we can move our legs and head up. I find that I can find more comfortable positions to sleep in with that ability. I also appreciate that I can let air in and air out in order to make it softer or more firm. I don’t like how it’s difficult to shift the bed within my bed frame. It seems that over the past few months it’s shifted and now I can’t quite get a comforter into the area between the footboard and the bottom of the bed itself. I also dislike the remote that is attached to the bed. The cord is not long enough, but I like that there’s an area for it to always be so that it doesn’t get lost so I’m 50-50 on that.
I feel as if they mention there’s easy ways to earn points so as to get free bedding but I have yet to earn anything free but I have learned a lot doing the few things that I have done within the app overall it’s a great bed. It would be nice if they could come out after a year and answer any questions and show us anything we still need to know, a sort of follow up.

This app needs bug fixes...
* update 8/1/22 * Please don't introduce ADS to this app that I must use to adjust my bed - I don't want to be forced to view (even with a skip button) ads when I launch this app - or if you are going to switch to an ad driven model then let me use some third party app to control my bed if I choose to do that - very disappointing to see this change! I love my sleep number bed and have been very happy with it for the last year - but this app that I have to use to adjust it is the slowest app on my phone and has many easy to reproduce bugs that just aren't getting fixed as time goes by and I don't understand why. The constant UI "re-load" that happens (and that re-load is extremely slow) when I come back to the app already running in the background just to make a slight adjustment in the base setting is infuriating. I'm on the latest app version and I'm on an iPhone 13 running the latest iOS. I'd be happy to provide a list of issues or work interactively with anyone that would like to understand what I'm experiencing. Can anyone working on this app let me know if it's the intention to actually make this app fast and for it to not have to reload - or is this just how it's going to stay? Sorry to new bed owners reading this review as you are basically stuck like me having to use this (currently) buggy and slow app.

Bed is awesome
So far so good with the app!
Best bed for a bad back after years of searching!
I have suffered from a bad back for years that is from a bulging disc to degenerative disc diseases and mild scoliosis starting. My back got worse with the wrong bed and I bought another one then another one that is standard mattress that are firm to “support” your back. Even tried the foam mattresses-which if you have inflammation, is the worst for keeping it in because of the foam holds heat. Well thousands of dollars later and several mattresses later, I talked my Fiancé into going to check out a sleep number bed at our local store. They were having a good sale and I’ve always heard these were good but I couldn’t afford one. After we tried it in the store and there was a 100 night guarantee or they take it back, we thought let’s do it! My Fiancé and I, BOTH are 100% satisfied and now we feel so much better. His hips doesn’t ache and my back doesn’t hurt when we wake up! Finally!!! We have had our sleep number for 113 nights now. When we travel and sleep in Hilton’s plush beds (which some are comfy) we both agree that we can’t wait to get home to “our” bed! Sleep Number is amazing!! Go get one!! Sleep is very important to a healthy life!

Excellent feedback for Sleep Apnea patients!
Even though I wear a C-PAP machine nightly for sleep apnea, this is excellent additional feedback for my personal knowledge, as I also have Narcolepsy. I use this information to fine-tune adjustments in my bed positions to lessen restless leg syndrome and leg cramping that may be causing poor sleep episodes, & this feedback has really been helping me to do this! I love my Sleep Number Bed and all of the new features! This is actually my third Sleep Number bed as my life circumstances have changed - a lot - and, although I have had to down-size to a twin XL (the double wouldn’t fit up the stairs) it’s just as awesome as the Queen size! I will never purchase any other brand of bed! I’m not saying that my life circumstances will never change and that I’ll never need a different size bed! my C I would sure love to try the King Size Sleep Number Bed. But, if the twin XL barely fit up our almost Centennial house, I’d have to put it in the dining room…no way.
As my now 70 year-old body is still responding to Gravity, my options to medically relieving pain are dwindling. My Sleep Number Bed is my saving grace. It’s amazing how much a slight change in my Sleep Bed Number can make such a big difference on my pain level - giving me much relief! It’s miraculous!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We're so glad to hear you're enjoying your Sleep Number® bed and our SleepIQ® app! Thank you for your review! Sam, SleepIQ® Team
Love P6 360
Long time Sleep (comfort) Number here, we own 3 in our house. We have owned a sleep number bed for over 20 years. Yes, it lasted us 20 years! Finally decided to get a new one because the foam containment had finally warn down and the sides had started to droop. The mattress still functioned great, just the foam siding inside the mattress had loss support. So we invest in another SleepnNumber because we loved this one so much. We splurged on this one because our last one lasted so long, we figured this would be a last bed. Bought the P6 360 with all the bells and whistles. LOVE being able to not only adjust our sleep number pressure but also the angle of the bed! Raising your head and/or feet makes a world of difference!!! And you have got to try out the zero gravity position, Wow!!! So relaxing!!!
The App: well, I wish there was a way to save more favorites or at least define the preexisting positions, and adjust the color off the light in the bed. This is why I rate the APP only 4/5 stars. Other then that, the bed itself is 5 ⭐️s

Bed is ok, App could be better
Sleep Number owner of one month and a couple of days. The app has gone offline about 5 times due to it just happening and twice due to bad weather in the area which caused the internet to go out. For this reason an app should NOT be the only method of making the bed work!! The five random times the app went offline, we were just without any tracking, and for over $11,000 for a bed and mattresses, that’s highly unacceptable! When the app is working, we can’t even prop a foot in the bed or lean on it without it being tracked as sleep. It should be able to tell a difference between a body being in the bed and an object or body part.
We have the Sleep Number 360 I8 with smart base that has no remote control option, all of the beds should have an option. For example, last night before bed the app said the bed was offline, it came online around 2:30, gave me a score of 82 and told me my sleep number was 35. My bed is on 100, never slept at 35 and It missed my first few hours of sleep. Very unimpressed and there is not much about this app that is “smart” in my opinion.
