Good but needs improvement
I appreciate the fact that panda finally has an app that I can order through. I also really like the delivery option and that there’s not crazy fee’s. My complaints would be that I wish there was some type of reward system, similar to ones many other places provide to incentivize people to actually use the app. The only real issue I’ve had with the app as it is now is that I’ve tried to order particular entrees on the app and they were unavailable, but then I go into the establishment and see that they do in fact have that item.Show lesschinesejunkie
Worst ordering app I've ever
This app is really impossible. Every time I sign in and try to place an order half of the food items are missing. Not items that might just not be in stock, but things like rice. I just placed an order at my favorite location and couldn't choose fried rice, white rice, or the noodles. That's ridiculous. yesterday I tried to place an order, and it only showed two items available at my location. Just two items. White rice and broccoli. Nothing else available in the entire store. Updating my review, making it even worse. Today I tried to order using a coupon I had gotten for a free egg roll. But the app says my store has no eggrolls. The option isn't even there to order one. An Oasis in the West Valley
I recently moved from the Bay Area to Modesto - and eventual bought a home in Newman. I love my new home and Newman - but by the 2nd week of living in Newman - I realized that there were NO restaurants here in the West Valley that serve any Asiatic Cuisine! I panicked and went through Sushi and Kimchee withdrawals for 6 weeks / until I stumbled upon this Asiatic Oasis in this Burger-centric Desert that I now call home. I historically order Pickup via the App - and in each and every ordering episode - they get it RIGHT - they have READY ON-TIME - and the quality is ALWAYS consistent - and best of all you get your monies worth!!! I was hoping things changed
When we moved here 7 years ago, this was the best Panda I had ever eaten at. Consistent excellent food, great customer service, clean restaurant. 2020 Covid hit & they changed managers. It became the very worst Panda ever,17 wrong orders in a row, horrible attitudes. A few weeks ago I gave it the first chance in over a year. New management, food was great, order was correct-I had really high hopes. Last order, 3rd entree was forgotten entirely. The young woman I spoke with said “yeah, it happens-bring the receipt & we will replace the 3rd entree on your next meal”. On my way to try once more, really hoping upper management was listening about the previous management because their loss of income had to have been drastic & last time was just a one-off. When done right their food is good, their location convenient & the young man I spoke with the visit before last exemplified a great manager with excellent people skills.Show lessCrazyeddie5150
Aggravating
One of the people who work there wouldn’t give me sweet & sour sauce. I got an order of 6 egg rolls, and asked for the sauce. She hands me 4 packets. I tell I’ve got 6 egg rolls. So, she gives me 4 more. Then I’m like listen, it takes 2 packets at least, for each egg roll. Then she tells me “we got in trouble, for handling too many out”. I tell her I’m pretty sure, that if someone’s specifically telling you they need more it’s fine. Nope, she still refused! So, I ask to speak with a manager. She says the manager isn’t there, and asked if I’d like to speak with someone else. I say yes. She comes, and before I can say anything hands me some more sweet & sour sauce. How f’n aggravating. Rude employees. Neglectful and wrong.
I wrote 5 times and was ignored so now you get a public review. I went to the Union store a few weeks ago to use the Bogo beyond orange chicken bowl offer on the app. The app wouldn’t load. The employees at that store not only would not help, they adamantly told me the wrong info; they rudely said they were being timed so couldn’t wait for the app to load. A car pulled in and after literally 1 second, asked me to move forward so they could tend to that person and not me. That is one of my nmahor pet peeves. It’s first come, first serve and U was there. Then I ordered and they messed the order up 3 ways. I didn’t get my egg rolls, the second beyond bowl or utensils. The app loaded & viola. The coupon was there. I didn’t want 3 beyond bowls at that point, so left. I wrote emails repeated All 5 were ignored. No coupon. No credit. No training. If my kids spoke to anyone that way I would slap them across the face. Time outs aren’t enough. Arrogance, mistakes and rudeness must be corrected and compensated for but this company won’t do it. Beyond is good but this company stinks. Also the food was old. So do right by me or take a hike.Show lessno nickname. bugs
Can’t use gift cards
Update: I’ve been emailing a customer service rep named Sarah, I’ve explained my situation multiple times via email/Pandas ticketing system and she for some reason can’t seem to understand that Pandas gift card function doesn’t actually work on the app or the website. I don’t know what’s more upsetting, the fact that Pandas mobile ordering system doesn’t accept gift card or the reps lack of comprehension. It’s very frustrating and has become a big waste of time.
I would’ve chosen to eat here on several occasions because I have a gift card but your app won’t apply the gift card to your total. I’ve tried both the browser based website and the app. Super annoying and I really have no desire to use this gift card.Show lessACKSBCA
Amazing Service
This app is amazing. I'm able to get delivery or takeout with only a few buttons. And it lists all the locations so I can order from any nearby Panda Express. Truly love this app especially as a person who occasionally works from home and doesn't always have time to prepare a meal. Being able to order Panda and have it delivered to my door at the onset of my lunch break is perfect.
What can improve: if there was a feature allowing you to select a bunch of entrees snd sides and then organize them into 2 separate areas, that would be really useful for big orders because then people could select a bunch of entrees and put 1 card on box 1 and 1 card on box 2. This would appeal to larger orders and drive up revenue on the app. Just my thoughts.Show less(VET) Prismodium
Pick Time isn’t Pick Up Time
My app tells me the pick up time is 8:15, so I arrive a few minutes early (the Panda in my town is NEVER busy). I realize I may have to wait for them to get it ready. However when I pull to the window they tell me they haven’t received my order and they won’t receive it until the time on the app, which clearly says “pick up time”. I use restaurant apps often and I know that some don’t start the order until you arrive or until you pay. I know they are all different, but if your app says it’s the pick up time, the order should be ready that, now just received by the restaurant.Show lessRoseydawn
Steals your gift card balances
Do not use gift cards with this app. You will always have a balance left, and the app will not allow you to use the balances in a later order unless those balances add up to EXACTLY the cost of your order. This app has thus effectively stolen my balances because they add up to a dollar twenty more than my order. How hard is it for them to just treat gift card balances as a credit in your account? Most of the other food apps can handle this, but not Panda Express. You might ask why I use gift cards. It’s because Taco Bell lost track of account information early on in the history of fast food apps, so I refuse to trust any of them with credit card information.Show lessGottahaveanickname
