Updates needed
The app is easy to use , instructions can be more precise in what number to use on the machines . They have two different stickers on them . One labeled property of washtek providing an additional number than the ones numbered on the actual machines.
It could be better.
The biggest annoyance is having to re-enter payment information (no way to link a card to the app) every time you add more funds.
The rest of the issues I’ve faced are mainly connectivity between the app and washer and dryer having false starts when I’ve paid and you have to wait for it to realize something went wrong and allow you to process the payment again to the same machine, or it not showing the machines you’ve started as busy which also can cause issues if you’re waiting for availability and it says available but it’s still in use by others.
But overall I’d recommend using the app over using debit or credit or putting money on a card. Since you can see your funds etc more easily - but there’s no way to submit details if you mark a machine for repair aside from email and the response time seems pretty lackluster, thankfully I’m in a building with over 40+ washers and dryers, so I can usually use a different one. But there’s a lot of basic things CYCLEPAY could do better.

Barely Works
This app is horrible cause if your building uses it - it is a necessity you have it. Every time you have to enter your card information for a refill you have to reenter it from the beginning - no auto save here - and I’m guessing it’s because they don’t want to invest in an internal security system within the app to secure your data, so instead they’ll just have the app forget it every time. The load times to get a machine to work are agonizing and the fact you can only purchase preordained amounts of money ($5, $10, $15, etc) to load onto your account is also a rip off. All around one of the worst designed apps I have ever seen, especially for a needed service. Only grace I can give is that it does ultimately do what it is supposed to and it does tell you which machines are available, in use, and need servicing.

If your landlord decided that it was a brilliant idea to use this instead of cash, I’m sorry. It does eliminate the problem of using coins but there is no alternative when the app fails to allow you to add money. I was out of funds while doing laundry and had wet clothes in the dry when this app decided to not let me finish. This is the second time it’s happened. This in addition to the times it’s decided to eat my money and not run a cycle causing me to ask for a refund and add more money.

Needs an Update Bad
I’m a mobile app developer and I thought we had moved on from 2010 but based on the User Interface of this app i would say these developers are still stuck there. Seriously, the it looks like it’s a website from 1995, it’s 2023 please update the UI.
Functionally it works maybe ~60% of the time but is definitely not reliable. If you have the option of using a LAUNDRY CARD (no, not your credit card, a laundry card you pre-load money on) on these machines i would highly recommend it over this poor excuse for a mobile app.

Over pay for your laundry
This thing needs all your personal information to do a load of laundry. How about minding your own business. And it only allows you to add money in $5 increments so you will always just be over paying for laundry because it won’t allow you to put in just what you need. Also it makes you enter in your credit card number instead of just being able to work with Apple Pay or a something like that that you already have set up. If you were wanting to pay with an Amex like it says it accepts then forget it.

Could easily be improved
Why why why can’t you save payment information? I have to type up my entire card number and billing address every time I add money. It’s inconvenient and doesn’t seem like a difficult fix.
Okay. But a few changes would help.
Not a bad idea behind this app but a few issues I’ve run into. Everytime I try to add on something (extra rinse, heavy soil etc…) I have to use quarters because the app won’t allow for those. Second gripe… save the card info or have Apple Pay available. I HATE having to enter all my card info every time. Other than that no issues.

Easy to use, but definitely some problems
Easy to scan washer and dryers and reload money. The problem I have with it is… if your using the card provided by the provider, it doesn’t register on the app if the washer or dryer is being used. It says available when it really is not. Very frustrating
