Elaine Morris Bradley
Good morning this is Elaine Morris Bradley right in review for Livewell. I thank you for this year time that you have put LiveWell in our hands that we can always find our doctors appointments and get our results of our test that we have gotten in just making me feel that I can find out everything that I need to find out about my doctors and my condition and I thank you for that is one of the best things that has happened to us. As we grown older and cannot remember a lot of things that we shall be needing, but it’s right here at hand so thank you. Whoever thought about this have a great day and anything that you think of that it makes it easy for us. Continue to do it. It’s great..

Poorly designed app, hard to use
This app is very frustrating to use. For example, I got a “letter” from my doctor and received a notification about it that brought me straight to it. Now that I already read it, it is impossible to find it in the app to reference again. I tried to schedule an appointment with my doctor in the website and they had me login to LiveWell to schedule but I couldn’t finish scheduling until I entered my insurance information. I didn’t have on me but I have saved in the app, so not sure why I needed to enter it when I was already logged in. I tried to find it in the app so I could book the appointment but it’s nowhere to be found. Horrible user experience design even for someone tech savvy like me. I can’t imagine my grandma trying to navigate this at all.

Great app! Terrible hospital system
Just stay away from Aurora doctors! I promise you, they do not care one bit about you. They must be coached to get in and out of appointments as fast as possible. Every Aurora doctor I have seen comes flying into the office, sits down, asks me to tell them what’s going on, gives me room for one sentence, cuts in, diagnoses without any kind of exam or test, prescribes something, and sends me on my way. Every single visit with every single doctor. If they do end up wanting a sample or something then make sure you are on top of reaching out once the results are in. They won’t remember to go back and review the results. You will end up suffering for days waiting on them to finally get back to you. When they do, do not expect any kind of apology or sympathy. They are taught not to admit fault. You will be told, even if you have the results in front of you and can read them clear as day, that the results really didn’t show much but if you are still having symptoms the doctor will prescribe something. LIARS!!! I LOATHE liars!!! They will absolutely lie to you. I have caught their doctors in lies multiple times. The Aurora doctors are not to be trusted! Please switch to another system. These people almost killed me. I’m not exaggerating. Please.

Constant issues, error messages, missing key functionality
This is not a helpful tool in many ways. There’s missing information. The medical group and doctors offices refer patients directly to this app as a one stop shop for everything needed, including setting up appointments and accessing information. However, the information is not readily available and you are unable to set up appointments through the app the way it’s described. We are unable to see a correct and updated list of upcoming appointments which causes confusion and risks. Missed appointments. There are often issues logging in. The app times out so quickly you are unable to get anything completed before having to re-login.. partial mobility to reach out to providers and because we’re unable to call the office need to reply to a message is necessary, and sometimes that is not available option. All in all this is not a helpful tool, particularly since the expectation is that we no longer contact the doctors office have to use this tool that has extreme limitations.

This is a mess
First issue: I got a letter from my doctor regarding a prescription and how to take the medication. It was shown on my home page. I opened it but did not have time to read it. So I closed it assuming I would be able to go back into the app, find it, and read it. It is nowhere to be found. I have checked every single place in the my chart. It is not in messages. It is not in the billing, appointments or anywhere that I can find. I have no idea where to go to find it. That’s the first issue.
Second issue: The doctor who prescribed the medication is a new physician to me. And the medication prescribed is too expensive. So I thought I would send a message to his office to see about getting a new prescription. When I went to the messaging link on my chart, there is no way I can send a message to this doctor. It only lets me respond to messages already received, and this is a new doctor. So apparently I have to call my doctor to get any help with this, when a message would be far easier for me and for my doctor.
Final Issue: where is there a place to ask questions for this app. No place in the app is there anywhere to ask about where to find anything on the app. (See issue #1) What do I have to do, call my physician? (See issue #2)
Honestly, navigating on Live Well is a nightmare. It is making me consider just changing doctors and the Aurora system.

LiveWell is very useful
The questionnaires that Aurora keeps are a bit excessive, but otherwise this app is very user friendly and logically arranged. I only wish they’d bring the “look up” feature back so I can understand the terminology used by providers in their after visit notes without Googling everything. It would be better yet if they also brought back the descriptions in the lab work charts.
I think when LiveWell was initially revised, Aurora mentioned that the info was made available to us so there was greater transparency and the reports were supposed to be written in “English”, not Latin. Either that’s no longer the case or many providers have forgotten!

Great Aurora/Live Well system.
Was up north, on vacation (Door County). Got a self inflictive knife laceration injury. Could not stop bleeding with direct pressure. Looked like needed stitches. Looked for a medical clinic, found an Aurora clinic in Sturgeon Bay, headed for clinic with knife wound wrapped tightly. Wife could not take me per her physical condition, but called clinic to inform them I was coming, called me and said they would be ready. And they were. Because of Aurora ‘s Live Well system, all was known. And all was ready for me. A Jennifer Krause FNP-BC took care of me, in a most professional way. And thanks to my Live Well record, knew all meds. I was on, and what she could or couldn’t give me. My tetanus status was over 5 years old and I needed one. Thanks to Jennifer and a RN, can’t remember her name. But those two, a receptionist and I think a male Dr. We’re only ones on duty at about 5PM on July 1, 2024. Thanks, again.

Glitchy
This is an addition to a complaint earlier in the day. Beware of making a complaint. Where as before I was receiving no email notifications- they’re now inundating my email box with message notifications- yet there are no messages. Get with Aurora!
There’s a problem with this app. I wrote to technical services and got an answer that didn’t address the issue at all. I hadn’t been receiving emails. So I deleted the app and re-loaded it. Now I’m getting notifications for messages in my emails when no message was sent. Aurora needs to figure out its app. I almost ditched it after having my identity stolen in their data breach. Hard to not have it when that’s how you connect to doctors. Don’t bother trying to call Aurora unless you want to go thru 2-3 call centers first.

Review
I have been very satisfied with the communication between my physicians and myself. Every time I have contacted a physician, I have received a prompt response and good feedback to my questions. It is much easier than using a phone and having to either wait for a physician response or having to leave a message. My only problem is that I sometimes forget to check the application as often as I should and miss a message.
I believe that this is a very good opportunity to stay in contact with anyone whom I may need to reach out and contact.

Not for elderly do not recommend
My mom is 83. She is extremely active for her age. She has a smart phone but is not technically literate. The menus are small hard to read and my mom would loose her ever loving mind if she had to keep logging in this app. Her hospital and at home Care recommended this and it is the dumbest recommendation for her. Stop recommending it to folks that are unable to use it! Also, I can’t use it on my moms behalf because there is no family log in and all her multi authorization needs to go through her email that I do not have access to. It also continues to ask to log in multiple times and my password keeper doesn’t allow access for this app. That being said, for me personally, my own records : ya it’s great! Got everything you need.
