Value for money Heathrow service
Changed to Minicabit from a local service as the rates are much more competitive. The communication is excellent, the vehicles very comfortable and the drivers very helpful and courteous. Totally recommend for the service to Heathrow.
Minicabit
I have been using Minicabit for some time and have always found their offerings, particularly on pricing, highly competitive. I like the level of communications too, as I receive prompt alerts regarding taxi arrival times and so on. Also, in the event of say, London events which may cause disruption, Minicabit advise promptly and make suggestions re timing so as to avoid delays. Very good service all round.

Quick and easy to book
Very quick and easy to book. The drivers I have had are very reliable and have always waiting. I have used this service a couple of times for myself as well as family and friends. Highly recommend
Needs improvement
The app is ok but could use tracking features as some have mentioned.
I’d like a feature to talk to my driver without “talking”. I could not comprehend what they were saying and responding to what they were saying proved pointless.
My driver for the future home airport trip never showed so I caught a black cab 35 minutes past my planned pickup.
I expect a full refund but if not, look for more harsh reviews to pop up elsewhere.

BAD Customer Service
The driver lost the car in the airport parking lot and was over an hour late! I made a complaint and was just ignored, don’t use this service unless it’s with a credit card so you can chargeback if they screw you.

I have been using minicabit to and from the airport several times a year and am always impressed with the service. The driver for my recent trip, Amit, was exceptional! I’m happy to have this option available when I travel.
Good for pre-booking cabs
I’ve used Minicabit for many years and it is definitely a useful app for booking cabs and making sure you get a good price, and your choice of type of vehicle.
It’s particularly useful having the option to cancel up until an hour before the pick-up. I rarely need to cancel but it gives you the confidence to book well in advance knowing that you could if something happened last-minute.
In the past some cabs simply haven’t turned up, but when that’s happened Minicabit have provided a voucher as an apology. That reassures you that they view that sort of problem as a rare occurrence.
There are a few aspects I’d like to change:
You can’t enter a custom time (or do 15 mins past or to the hour). It has to end in a “0” (e.g. 3:10, 3:20).
If you want to amend the destination of a booking (even if it’s just a different airport terminal you have to cancel and start with a new booking. You can’t just get the current company to amend the price.

Used this service for years but…
Today the app really malfunctioned. Reset my password multiple times, contacted customer service. Got e mail saying it would be escalated but nothing happened. Ended up making booking on the website on my computer. Eventually deleted app and reloaded. Finally seems to allow me to log in. Very annoying.

At Your Own Risk
You are essentially at the mercy of the cab company being booked via Minicabit which means there’s nothing they can do if they don’t show up or end up being unprofessional during the trip.
I learned this the hard way when I had an issue and contacted Minicabit customer service who essentially ignored what I said and took the side of the cab company.
Make sure you research the cab company yourself to ensure they’re legit and will actually show up, and best of luck getting any useful help from Minicabit if the situation goes down south!
