Subscribe through app store not their app
Summary, I didn’t find the app helpful after trying twice. For me personally it as annoying. But more importantly, I thought I canceled, apparently didn’t because they don’t make it easy. They charged me for the next year but I had 0 notification & had no idea I had this subscription. I just happened to notice months later. So no notifications about an auto-renewal, no receipt or a cancellation email. They would’ve got away with charging me forever for nothing.
I have tried this app twice. The first time it was engaging during the trial then no more involved assistance it was basically on you to keep up with your goals.
Now it’s TOO much going on in the app like a whole story & almost forced you to do things. I only tried for a few days-a month at most & ultimately decided it wasn’t for me. Well last year I guess I didn’t cancel a full 24hrs before the trial ended so they wouldn’t refund my $14 despite having deleted the app & not using it.
Welp, thank god I don’t use my bank card on Apple pay often because I just noticed in Aug that I was charge yet again for THIS year back in April! Unfortunately I forgot to cancel I guess because they don’t make it easy. I swear I did before deleting the app but you have to do it through their website. But the real issue is that I wasn’t emailed a receipt so had I not stumbled across the payment I would’ve never known & they would’ve kept charging me $14 for nothing every year. Apple sends me a receipt & has all of my subscriptions in one place for review & cancellation. I don’t have to guess or hope I find them. So I highly recommend only subscribing to things through an app store or a credit card that sends you alerts for any payments made. Also turn on notifications for any time any card is charged. Most of mine are on but apparently I didn’t have them on for this bank card. Also my mistake. But still, these companies know what they’re doing.
Fabulous, you guys need to send receipts & honestly renewal alerts ahead of time for people like myself that weren’t even using the app, to cancel. I also didn’t receive a cancellation email I had to screenshot it for proof. But I immediately received one to come back! That’s shady.

So close…
I really like the app, but it remains very buggy. Where there are places to input text responses, I remain unable to do so. It will just automatically delete each letter I tried to type. Also, it cannot seem to keep up with what day of the week it is. Hope to see some fixes soon.
Scammers
I did not simply delete the app and assume that meant my subscription was cancelled. I went into the app, followed the process to cancel my subscription, and received a screen confirming “You have cancelled your subscription.”
And yet… I was charged again.
I contacted support, explained what happened, and requested a refund. They refused.
That’s an unacceptable experience. If your own app tells a customer their subscription has been cancelled, the customer should be able to trust that cancellation.
My advice: don’t trust the cancellation screen. If you cancel, contact support directly, insist on written confirmation by email, and keep an eye on your credit card statements afterward.
I’m leaving this review because I don’t want other customers to learn this lesson the expensive way.
The Fabulous App: 1 star. Would give 0 if I could.

NO SUCH THING AS A FREE PLAN
downloaded the app to try the free plan, this company since have continuously tried to take money out my bank. I login to try and cancel any subscription and it tells me I’m on the free subscription? Scam.
Predatory and dishonest billing
Last week I cancelled my subscription through Apple, which had been charging quarterly for premium. Today I was charged for a full year price. The information available on help.thefabulous.co, where the dev team is directing anyone who had a similar experience, has no clarifying information as to WHY these charges continue after cancellation, only information on how to cancel subscriptions and apply for refunds, leading me to believe that this deception is intentional, which is truly awful for an app that claims to be able mental health. It also gives no further information as to how they continue to access payment info, as this new charge was sent independently without any Apple involvement or record under my subscriptions. If you want to use the app, do not engage in the free trial and do not upload any payment information, but I suggest avoiding it entirely as it also relies heavily on AI in addition to these deceptive billing concerns. I am extremely disappointed as I have recommended this app to others in my capacity as a mental health clinician, will no longer be doing so and will be advising my clients about the predatory billing
